Thanks Tommy Boy for your video about the replacement keys for the Suzuki Burgman. I just bought a used Burgman 400 and it came with one key, I was worry about loosing the only key I had so I researched a few places to no avail until i came across your video, I just listened to what you explain about the process and follow it thru and got the spare keys with magnets, set up and it works. MY TWO CENTS ABOUT THIS REPLACEMENT KEY: I got the keys a few weeks ago, and had not had the time to put the magnets in, so I adventured out and tried this quick DIY. Those magnets are a pain in the ASS. The whole project should of taken 5 minutes but took me about 20 to 25 minutes to complete due to the face that they are magnets. I would no sooner get one in, and the other one would pop out. This was a great video, and I would recommend the key replacement for anyone. THE SKILL LEVEL: All you need is some patience and it will all fall into place. Thanks for the video, and now I have a spare key for the Burgman. GREAT ADVICE.
After watching this video I went ahead & just bough two of these from eBay, I'm in the UK, they arrived in just over a week & work exactly as you described....thanks bud, you've been a real help.
I have an 07 400 and after much aggravation and swearing I found out the magnets only effect the little door that closes over the ignition slot! I used one with no magnets at all and it cranked right up. It will not open the door ,but it will close it! So if you try it make sure your original key is handy.
Thanks for a great and helpful video. I have an additional hint to share: I had difficulty handling the teeny, tiny magnets to insert them into the key. I used a small blunt faced punch from my tool box, the end diameter being slightly larger than the diameter of the magnet. The magnets stuck tightly to the end of the punch and I could easily push them into the holes on the key.
Not only is the magnets location critical but the also must be in the correct direction. On mine the layout was different. I had to pull 2 out and flip them over for my new key to work
I suspected that was the case Rick, I'm just going to order a key from China, obviously you refer to the polarity of the magnets, this could be checked by offering up the replacement magnet to one of the originals, if it is atracted then the replacement should be flipped for that position . How does the cover over the magnets come off on the original key ? Thanks, Chris
hi! great video, altghough i missed a part where you unlock the bike with the chinise key/magnets. still, thanks! does this means there is not code on my bugi 400 L5 (Model 2015)? is so why people talk about the code?

So how would you suggest doing this with having no original key. I am going to put the magnets on the lock on the bike then mold them. Then flip them over. I’ll let you know if it works. Lol
1. Take all magnet, color one side of each only using any colored sketch 2. stick them in to the lock and identify the color position (For checking north and south pole)then fit it back correctly in the duplicate key (thats how I did it)

Good info!! Question i have is do these keys have chips in them? Do they have to be programmed? Can they be cut anywhere like Home Depot? Thanks
