    I'm new to scooters and recently purchased a 2016 Taizhou 150cc. Turned out to be more work than was told. I'm having a hard time finding wiring diagram and plastics. Virberello, can you or anyone advise on the best place to get parts. My scooter looks identical to the one in this video.

    i always keep replica keys on me so if this happens i use the spair...genius and cheap solution because imagine this happens late at night and your tools are in the...where you left youre key so i know most people keep a spare at home but somtimes home is 100 km away so just be a genius like me and btw make a copy for youre home and then you are double genius cause keys do get forgotten etc.

    I had that very thing happen to me at the grocery store. I approached this problem a bit different. On my scooter there is one 10mm bolt at the hinge. Remove that hinge bolt, and you are able to lift the front of the seat enought to recover the key, and or, most anything else under the seat.
    One bolt, about 2 minutes, or less, and wala. I realize all scooters are not the same, but worked on mine.
    Regards

      I'm doing this project on my Kymco Grand Vista 250. I've taken the front cowling off to get at the back of the ignition switch where the cable comes out and goes back to the seat lock. Pulling on the cable didn't work nor did screwing the cable adjuster all the way in. I figure that leaves the cable broken as the problem. I've noticed from pictures that on the seat end of the cable is a little pressed on ball that attaches the cable to the seat lock. Maybe that pressed on ball came off or loose. It was hard enough getting the front cowling off and moving the radiator out of the way to see the ignition and cable. Now I've got to disassemble the whole rear end of the scooter. Gee, it's not like I had anything else to do on a bright, sunny day.

    • @VirberelloScooterTips
      @VirberelloScooterTips  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      t sounds like you're having a problem with the steering lock on your scooter. The issue you're facing could be related to the scooter's ignition switch or the steering lock mechanism. Here are some steps you can take to address this problem:
      Key Position: First, ensure that the scooter is in the "off" position before attempting to engage the steering lock. If the scooter is running or the key is in the "on" position, the steering lock may not engage.
      Wiggle the Handlebars: Before locking the steering, gently wiggle the handlebars from side to side while turning the key to the "lock" position. Sometimes, the steering lock may not engage if the handlebars are not perfectly centered.
      Lubrication: The steering lock mechanism may be sticking due to dirt, rust, or lack of lubrication. You can try applying a suitable lubricant, such as a graphite-based lock lubricant, into the keyhole and the lock mechanism. Work the key in and out to distribute the lubricant and free up any obstructions.
      Inspect the Lock Mechanism: Check for any visible obstructions or damage to the steering lock mechanism. Make sure there's nothing blocking its proper operation. If you find any debris or damage, carefully clean or repair the mechanism as needed.
      Turn the Scooter Off: If you can only remove the key when the scooter is turned, it might be a safety feature designed to prevent the steering lock from engaging while the scooter is running. Make sure you turn off the scooter before attempting to engage the steering lock.
      If you've tried these steps and the problem persists, it might be a more complex issue that requires professional inspection and repair. In that case, consider reaching out to a local scooter mechanic or dealership for further assistance. They can diagnose and resolve the issue to ensure that your steering lock works as it should.

    how open scooter Seat after when scooter power on (without power off scooter)

    • @VirberelloScooterTips
      @VirberelloScooterTips  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello It's essential to prioritize safety when attempting to open the seat while the scooter is running. Doing so may cause accidents or damage to the scooter or the person that work on it . Check the Owner's Manual: Before attempting anything, consult your scooter's owner's manual. This document will contain specific instructions for your particular scooter model.
      Locate the Seat Release Mechanism: Most scooters have a seat release mechanism that is usually located near the rear of the scooter, often beneath the seat or along the sides. This mechanism may be a lever, latch, or button.
      Ensure Safety: Ensure that you are in a safe and stable location, preferably with the scooter on a flat and level surface. Make sure you are not in traffic or a hazardous situation.
      Apply the Brake: For safety, make sure the scooter is stationary, and apply the brake. Some scooters may have a safety feature that prevents the seat from opening if the brake is not engaged.
      Engage the Clutch (if applicable): If your scooter has a manual clutch, you may need to engage it. Again, this is a safety feature to prevent the scooter from moving when you open the seat.
      Use the Seat Release Mechanism: Depending on your scooter's design, use the seat release mechanism. It may involve lifting a latch, pushing a button, or turning a key. Follow the instructions provided in your owner's manual.
      Lift the Seat: After releasing the mechanism, gently lift the seat. It should open smoothly. Be cautious and keep your fingers and clothing clear of any moving parts or hot surfaces.

    I got a PGO, don't know the model as I got it for free from my stepdad who was cleaning out his garage at his work and didn't use it and it had stood there for 5-6 years unused since he last used it. Used a weed removal tool that kind of looks like a flatheaded screwdriver with a small V shape in the middle and just managed to reach all the way to the locking mechanism from under the scooter by following the cable from the lock to it using a flashlight. A bit of fumbling and a clicking sound and the saddle was open so one dont necessary need to remove all stuff though I was lucky to have the weed tool as no screwdriver like tool had a loong enough handle except this one which had a handle a long as my forearm and then a little.
    So not an easy place to reach unless one has a thin long tool to poke around with. I have to give credit to this and multiple other videos thou as you guys gave me a good idea to what look for when I was fumbling around under the scooter so thx for a good video. :D

      It sounds like you had quite the adventure getting that PGO scooter's saddle open! Using a weed removal tool as a makeshift long-reach tool to access the locking mechanism is pretty creative. It's great that you were able to find a solution without having to remove a lot of parts.
      Your experience shows that with some improvisation and a bit of guidance from helpful videos, it's possible to tackle these kinds of challenges. Thanks for sharing your story, and I'm glad the videos gave you a good idea of what to look for. Keep up the good work!

      @@VirberelloScooterTips Part of the problem why I had to go this route is that the back screen on this scooter has 2 screws on the outside facing back...and another 2 underneath facing forward that it looked like I had to remove the interal saddle compartment to reach or something. Because of that despite trying, I could not remove the back portions to reach in from there. The only other video with a identical model I found, that youtuber had instead drilled out his lock to get it opened and switched out gas, ignition and saddle lock afterward. I was lucky in that I did not have to go to that extent thou. Again cheers and thx.
