omg this bird is wonderful, he will fly to me and start cooing and want to be petted, and sometimes if I pet him really good he stops cooing and just closes his eyes and is the cutest thing ever, and he will fly onto my shoulder or chest and "preen" my face or if I pet him he will preen my hand. He always looks to see if I am looking at him or not if he is in another part of the room. If I look at him, he will put his head down and start cooing because he wants to be petted. He sits in my hand 2
he was trying to build a nest on my shirt the other day, with wires and things he found on the ground. I'll try to give him a fake egg and see what happens!
thanks! I think he is adorable too, he spends all day cooing and wanting to be petted! Right now he is on top of my laptop screen looking at me while I am typing, and cooing! Then I pet him and he closes his eyes and really looks like he likes it. So cute!
I have a dove too! I actually have two doves. One is a mourning dove (which we found when he was 3 days old,) and a diamond dove which we adopted at a local pet market. :)
I don't know... my grandmother had a parakeet when I was growing up, and it was in a cage on her kitchen table. I never really thought it was that great. I have seen some really cute parakeet videos on youtube in the last year or so though. But I think there are a lot more "cute dove videos" than "cute parakeet videos". I think maybe parakeets need a LOT more work to tame, plus they seem hyper, while doves seem to be naturally calm and friendly. I practiced with a chicken before the dove XD
they tend to pick a few places where they like to sit, and that is where most of the poop will be. My dove, when eating and drinking normally, makes little round balls of poop that dry in about a day and can be easily removed from most surfaces. You can put newspaper or something under where they sit. He seems to have a "flying time" maybe 1/2 hour or 1 hour a day where he just flies back and forth across the room until he;s tired, but the rest of the day is cooing, wanting to be petted, & rest
this dove loves to sit on the top my Nintendo 3DS screen while I play Animal Crossing New Leaf. He looks at the screen while I play. He also likes to sit on top of my PS3/Xbox controllers while I use those. I just have to hold them upright so he isn't on the buttons.
I don't understand why the French don't do this kind of videos a lot, I do, but without creators like you I would never have started my channel so thank you
This is so adorable. The male tends to sing to the female to attract them or to simply keep other males away from it's territory. Have you considerated getting it a lady-friend? & good work with your eurasian collared dove, it looks lovely.
I have a 6 week old dove that I rescued (he was about a week and a half years old and on the side of the road). He's so friendly! Yours is really cute :)
I think any type of bird you get, it's better to get it very young (as young as possible) so it imprints on you instead of someone else or another bird. When I got this dove, I think he was trying to learn to fly and fell out of a tree onto a parked truck on the side of a busy road, so he wasn't an adult yet. Also he was still making the baby tweeting noise.
I have had doves/ pigeons that were as sweet as this and I have also had some that are nasty tempered. Just like people, some are nice and some are A**holes. LOL. Good luck finding your birdy friend. If you lived near Alberta Canada I could give you one of my doves ;)
Btw he love that spot as he probably consider it as nest, if he sit there and calls you like that it means it's male and he consider you your mate, as it male pigeon/dove behavior to pick nest spot and call female to jurge it :)
Sounds great! I'm leaning towards getting a dove. I've wanted some sort of parakeet or a cockatiel or the like, but I'm kinda scared that it'll bite hard. Your bird looks very sweet and gentle.
So, a passionate gamer dove - guess that's radically coo-coo-cool. (o^_v_^o) ... It shouldn't even wonder if it lays nerd eggs to change the world for the better. =))
Hi! So I've wanted a bird for a long time now. I'm finally going to be able to get one probably in a year or so. One of my friends suggested a dove because they have soft beaks and don't hurt quite as much if they peck or bite. I was worried that a dove wouldn't be as affectionate as other breeds, but this little one looks very sweet. Do you think a dove is an okay bird for a first-time bird owner?
They can bite if they are angry or scared, if you rise a dove/pigeon or you gain trust of one they will get use to you and don't do that :) btw pigoens and doves prefere wing slaps as for of defence then beak
Once upon a time in the way way past i "think"they were available in pet stores; today, i haven't been aware of "no place" to get one, except maybe try to get one in the "wild" cause they can tame down very quickly
this bird wants to be petted like 10 hours a day but he's so frickin' cute that I have to do it
male or female?
i would do it its my dream 2 have a pigeon
stop teasing me dude!
You've spoiled each other. ☺️ BTW: Does the tail-shaking means he's happy?
@@user-yn6xr5fd9u looks and sounds male to me. females have more of a babyface.
He is saying get away from the video games and pay attention to me
lol. What about right now while I'm typing this, he is sitting on the edge of his food box and cooing at me?
omg this bird is wonderful, he will fly to me and start cooing and want to be petted, and sometimes if I pet him really good he stops cooing and just closes his eyes and is the cutest thing ever, and he will fly onto my shoulder or chest and "preen" my face or if I pet him he will preen my hand. xD If I ever get a dove, I'm naming it Archimedes, though I like Pokemon, too.
Archimedes is a good name ^_^
It was a Team Fortress 2 reference, the Medic's dove is named Archimedes, though I like the name, too :P
***** thats what i was gonna call mine
I had a pigeon named archimedes, sadly she was killed defending her mate.
ARCHIMEDES NO!!!!!
Awwww! What a lovely and wonderful little baby! And what a sweet voice!!! It is so relaxing and peaceful.
how adorable, my doves like to perch on me and coo around my feet
Awww lulz I'm ur big fan

This cute birb is blessing these games, to ensure their optimal entertainment value is achieved! :3

What a beautiful baby! ♡
He's actually clling his mate to the nest!I think he considers you as his mate and is calling you!
If I'm not mistaken, i think they make this sound when the female is around
I don't understand why the French don't do this kind of videos a lot, I do, but without creators like you I would never have started my channel so thank you
Dove: MY GAMES!!!

Your dove is so cuuute.
This is so adorable. The male tends to sing to the female to attract them or to simply keep other males away from it's territory. Have you considerated getting it a lady-friend? & good work with your eurasian collared dove, it looks lovely.
I'm not sure where I would get another one, they don't sell these in pet stores
We got a few of them around here too; i enjoy listening to them also: but the ones we have haven't been tamed; nice little fellow 😊
Aww so he is so precious 😍😍
I liked the part when the bird said "coo".
I have a 6 week old dove that I rescued (he was about a week and a half years old and on the side of the road). He's so friendly! Yours is really cute :)
This is darker than my doves but so cute

He’s keeping the games warm.
Aww, little miss Pidove wants you to get sticks so she can build a nest.
Pidove is a male...
I have a female who does this. I give her sticks and she constructs a nest, then she lays eggs. This is the body language of a female dove :)
Nicole Rich still, OP says this dove is male.
It might be a gender-confused dove. I have a female cat that likes to dry-hump my male cat.
Oh I see, I agree with you. I have a female dog that does the same.
Pidove sometimes brings me plastic forks and pokemon cards!
So cute❤❤❤❤ I love birds. 🕊
I want to cuddle and pet him . So adorable!!!
yeah I found this bird in the wild, but he has become a perfect pet!
thanks! I found this one when he was a few weeks old, on top of a truck parked on the side of a road! (under a really big tree)
Lovely little dove you have.
+Josh vs Wild thank you, he is so cute :)
Very cute bird :)
Valentina Smirnova thanks! He's on top of my head right now while I'm typing :D

i love dove's they don't bite at all thump's up
A ring-necked dove next to the red ring of death machine.
Dove:I want to sit on video games for whole day and coo
Why the hell do I keep watching these pigeon videos
Is That A Morning Doves.
Mourning doves not have a rignecked , and the call are sooo diferent
I love doves and pigeons
That's a good birb!
what a loaf
I guess this debunks the whole 'pigeons neither like nor dislike video games'.
he sits on top of my Nintendo 3DS and looks down at the screen while I play!
Lovely bird
Pretty baby!
They feel very soft! I have one
i love this oml
the coo sounds different than my ringneck doves!
They "do" make several different types of cooing, it depends on the situation at hand
Kelly oxo I pretty much guessed he was a male from what he does to my foot sometimes :X
GypsyChickens I was just about to comment "nice Pidove ya got there" then i see the description and im like dang it. -.-
altispinex86 lol XD
GypsyChickens oh geez
Dove wants to play video games
Wait, so do doves like to play video games? This is important.
LOL😅LOL😅
lol I just noticed this is a TH-cam "Featured Video"
This Dove is a true MLG PRO GAMER 🕊🔥🎮
That's why my dove is cooing a lot because it's February
Mine used to love my hairbrush that way. :)
Pretty Bird I love Doves
I love doves too! He's a great pet!
+GypsyChickens how is Pidove doing tell your pet Dove hi for me

John Farque thanks :)

That dove is definitly a geek
hehe
it's not funny!
Sounds great! I'm leaning towards getting a dove. I've wanted some sort of parakeet or a cockatiel or the like, but I'm kinda scared that it'll bite hard. Your bird looks very sweet and gentle.
The X box in the back ground and the dove…
think he plays on it when ur not looking?
That makes sense. I'll definitely be getting my bird from a rescue or the like. That's for sure.
❤️🕊️
Pidove used tackle!
+Golden Pidgeot heheeh, he uses Wing Slap and Peck and Bite a lot
So, a passionate gamer dove - guess that's radically coo-coo-cool. (o^_v_^o)

I've heard from many that doves are some of the best, but some say to practice with parakeets first...
I’m gonna get a dove one of this days he’ll yeah
🕊️❤️❤️❤️❤️
That's nest making behaviour
Cute
❤❤❤❤❤

Therealguymins nice raptor icon!

I have the same type of dove and they coo like that when there young and males only cool like that but my 12 doves do the same thing lol
mine still does this every day!
Cute! Do you still have him?
My dove is a laughing dove and love me
thank you, yes I think he is cute too :)
Our doves names are Loki and Stellaluna. Loki is huge compared to Stelly Belly.
Video uploaded 5 years ago and comments are for 7 years ago?!
love it!!!!!! :)))
How did you bond with your bird so well did you get him as a hatchling and hand rais him or is there other ways
Its a male dove, they have a lower pitch coo. The females have a higher pitch.
They can bite if they are angry or scared, if you rise a dove/pigeon or you gain trust of one they will get use to you and don't do that :) btw pigoens and doves prefere wing slaps as for of defence then beak
when will it evolve into a tranquill? also, is that a eurasian collared?
awesome vid
Aww
Where did you get yours? I been wanting one forever!
I found him in the windshield wiper area of a truck, under a tall tree, on the side of a road when he was too small to fly
Once upon a time in the way way past i "think"they were available in pet stores; today, i haven't been aware of "no place" to get one, except maybe try to get one in the "wild" cause they can tame down very quickly
I hope Pidove is doing well :)
Aww.. I would like one too ... did you get it when it was a hatchling?
+Skanda A.K I got him when he fell out of a tree trying to fly. He landed on a truck and was in shock
It so cute! (Sorry for bad english I from Germany)
I follow Pidove on Instagram , and I could recognize his voice before reading the description
