- trying to clean my room but Pidove just wants to be petted! I have a bunch of junk piled up in a corner of the room and my pet dove keeps sitting on it and flapping untill I pet him.
He is a Eurasian collared dove.
Doves are so stinking sweet.
he coos and wants to be petted all day long! Sometimes if I'm laying down, he will fly onto my head and put his beak in my ear and coo XD
GypsyChickens I'm crying because of how cute that sounds XD
Richard Wachtel thanks!
I just recorded and uploaded a short video of Pidove watching this video! Check it out :D
@@GypsyChickens that is what happens when you get tired of your dove, so all day long pet him
@@GypsyChickenshe doesn't want to be pet , that's nesting behaviour, he's telling to his captivator his needs , but you monster don't understand him
what's even cuter is every time I play one of these videos, my dove thinks he hears another dove and he starts cooing to the video
I found him on the windshield wipers of a truck parked on a road under a tree when he was a baby
I see these things flying around where I live. They steal my grapes. XD
this one steals my plastic silverware sometimes! But yesterday he found a pokemon card on the floor somewhere and brought it to me and put it on my stomach next to my hand :)
GypsyChickens Hahaha that would be funny if it was a pidove card or any kind of bird type Pokemon.
Samuraislash600 that would have been great! But it was a code card
I love grape
Like it's that hard to find a pigeon anywhere in the world 😂
What a sweet little baby!!! Almost sounds like an owl!! X)
The coos sound like a human impression o;
But cute!
Marco Murkrow thanks :)
GypsyChickens that was happend to its neck?
døøjjie Aj The "Collar" on it's neck is part of this species natural appearanve.
aww my eurasian collared looked around curiously when he heard me play this, i feel sorry for him ;_;
+lulzBrownie my dove jumps onto my laptop or phone when I play this video on them
+GypsyChickens sucks my eurasian is absolutely terrified of people, i can't even hold the bird without him going nuts and losing his feathers
lulzBrownie aww :( I got mine before he knew how to fly
i love that collar on its neck
I like to rub his neck right on the collar :)
@Cookie CuteC that's its natural coloring...
The dove going "Wooohooo!" 😂
Aww! It seems like he loves you a lot. I'm hoping to get one someday. Are they good pets?
the only negative thing about a dove is it poops a lot, but besides that, I'd give it a 10/10 as a pet!
GypsyChickens Ahh. They sell little birdy-diapers that apparently are very nice, but I'm not sure how a dove would tolerate those.
Mark van Tienen well, most of the time when my dove, uh... poops... it's kind of like a little ball, easy to pick up with a napkin or something. And if you leave it and it dries out, often it doesn't even stick to whatever it was on (or just barely) so it can like, roll around. Like a little pebble. It's not super messy, but occasionally during part of the day he will make a more "liquidy" poop, but they usually go in the same area wherever they perch.
One excellent thing about Bird 💩 if you're growing plants like orchids, bird poo without seeds in it makes great fertilizer for the plants.
so lovely i can tell you how much your dove loves to be petted and trusts you!
miyuki sakamoto thanks :) I think he does!
What a sweetheart 😍
Aww, so sweet. I keep Ringneck Doves, they are all parent raised so none bonded to me like this but they like to sit with me and nibble. One does her best to groom my nails, my whole finger goes in her mouth, it's very sweet but not very effective. A fun trick is to move the mouse cursor around when you're playing on the computer and they're watching, they will peck it and chase it.
Beautiful bird
thank you :) I love him!
Love the Coo sound of doves 🕊
Streptopelia decaocto. I love that dove
I love the way he looks around! Like "huh what?"😆
Lol
I like those birds.
Very nice! I like how she played with the wire in the beginning haha. In regards to birds in general, how does loyalty towards an owner work? When you first got it, was it nervous or does it love you on sight like most dogs?
not really nervous, but maybe in a little bit of shock from falling out of a tree before he could fly. But as soon as he figured out I am the new owner and food giver, he loves me and coos when I look at him and flies to me to be petted. He eats food in a shoebox, so every time he flies to me, it's not for food, it's because he wants attention.
COO COOOO COO!
I love that sound. They nest in the chimney and you can hear it all summer long...
Beautiful
Absolutely lovely!
AWWW - SO CUTE ^-^ !!!!
At times, some collared doves lean on my antenna starting to coo like yours.
He's so adorable!
What a lovely girl
Boy*
They feel very soft
He is awesome! Wish I could pet him. Lol :). kiM
Aww what a dovely dove

Very cute :3
Haha! Looks like someone's a Pokémon fan! ;) Very cute dove by the way.
I love collared doves I have a pair with a nest in my tree and they usually coo for my seeds that I put out. Sometimes they even eat from my hand!
GalacticPlasma cute!!!! :)
Balm to my soul! 🕊🕊🕊

Oh.... Cute Tortora! ❤️♥️💕

Coocooshckoo

❤❤❤
cooCOOcoo
🕊️❤️
why does his wing twitch like that? is it the prospect of getting birbpets perhaps? or is it just a thing that eurasian collared doves do?
ARCHIMEDES!
mine coos a LOT, but the camera distracts him. Usually I can't even make a video of him because he will fly onto the camera and bite it as soon as he sees me pick it up.
yeah maybe, but my foot is his mate >_< luckily he doesn't know that my chicken likes my foot too
Sooooooooooo cute😭😰😱😳😵😡😠😷😇🙀😽😼😻😹😸😺
thanks! And yeah I like pokemon, the thing he's standing on in this video is a stack of pokemon cards in a bag XD
I'm not 100% sure because he was wild, but I think I estimated it at about 5 weeks. This video was taken within a few days of when I found him /watch?v=NnGxXExPP6s
I think he was about old enough to think he could fly, but not old enough to do it.
in malaysia we calll him tekukur
Cute! Did you rescue him as a chick or did he choose you as an adult?
i should play this for my eurasian, also how old was pidove when you got him?
Why is your toasted marshmallow cooing??
Pidove. That's a Pokémon name.
es una tortola.saludos
is a eurasiática paloma cuello

Is it 75% milk?
If he evolves you could name him Tranquill
+dorourke105 HAHA! I don't think he wants to evolve, he's stubborn!
Es hembra
How did you get it?
does it make a mess?
kind of, but only in the places it sits a lot. I think it's still better than having to clean up after a dog
Umm is it chewing on a wire if it is then it could get electrocuted be careful and don’t let it do that
did u name it off of a pokemon? :^)
Golden Pidgeot pidove
+Evie Fox Pidove is a Pokemon
Golden Pidgeot i know
Why do they make that noise?
+Bullet-Tooth Tony I don't know, he makes it all the time. I think sometimes it means he's happy, sometimes it means he wants to be petted, and sometimes it means he's angry!
Megas-that is a ring neck dove, not a mourning dove.
'ring neck' generally refers to domesticated barbary dove (they come in tons of color mutations, but all have the same annoying coo and laugh), this is a eurasian collared they are all over america and considered an invasive pest.
how did u tame a mourning dove? arent they usually more cautious of people?
I found him when he was a baby learning to fly and I think he tried to fly out of his nest and fell onto a truck next to a busy street and he was in shock
and he's a Eurasian collared dove but that's almost the same as a mourning dove I guess
Mourning doves and most other flighty doves tame down just fine, especially if injured and need hand fed. Don't buy idiotic gov propoganda.
@@nameunavailableffs Mourning doves are migratory animals, so they have a biological need to relocate to another part of the continent when seasons change
She wants a boyfriend
You mean he wants a girlfriend.
Whats with his back wing feathers keep shaking XD ( bad spelling, i just got up)
I don't know, he does that all the time! It's so cute, I have to pet him when he shakes his wings :D
TH-cam Account his wings twitch all the time when he wants to be petted!
I've only ever seen females do that when they want to mate. Kinda doubt it's a male.
😰😰😱🙎
isn't catching wild animals and keeping them as pets illegal in most states?
federal law only protects native birds and a few country's birds, collared dove, starling, sparrow, rock dove are not protected. most states label them as invasive pests.
The one in this video is not wild it was raised from a baby.
I have a wild rescue, it only took 1 month to tame him while after 6 months my blue ground doves which came from an aviary aren't even slightly tame, so this garbage about catching wild birds being bad is just that. Takes about the same time to tame domestic ringnecks and diamond doves as well, though they don't startle as easily. But all birds are wild domesticated or not - some are more timid by species nature, has nothing to do with domestication.
