Reid playing red prowess has become one of my favorite mtg gameplay "series". So many cool decisions to hear him think through.
Thanks for posting!
Thanks for the games Reid! Although I should probably be thrown in jail for how well I drew, that was criminal 😬.
Omg ur so cool I can’t believe u beat him!!

Underworld breach is fun
One top, one bottom on the Preordain. That's a verse player... 🙊🙈😜
With the amount of chalices going around I can't believe The Duke didn't get chaliced one 1 every two games hah hah. Though the deck can s'till win through it with just a bit of board presence and prowess triggers (if chalice player's life total is already low). I do prefer questing druid versions of prowess though
no ragavan?
Red beek
Man, feels like its better to have those chalices in sideboard and just unassign jeghanta from being a companion in those post sideboard games against temur rhinos ? The problem is temur rhinos is a very popular deck in current meta and reid’s sideboard feels pretty much unprepared for this matchup, of course on the play you can ideally kill them on turn 3/4 but that also requires them to not have any interaction. This matchup requires either some tough sideboard solutions or just accepting that you will have like 30-35% winrate against rhinos
I really dont like most companions in modern, but ive been kinda away from keeping up with the game in modern. Do you know why even bother playing jeghanta and kaheera in decks like this or uw control? I feel like they rarely matter and only come up when you really havent got anything going on so youre probably losing already. I prefer to be able to play chalice in this deck not even just against rhinos but also living end. You dont need to answer if you dont want to but could you explain why so many decks and brews care about including companions? I dont feel like they matter since yorion and lurrus are banned
I agree, I don’t run a companion. I have Invasive Surgery in the side for Rhinos too
@@Easyaeros Companions are nice in games where you trading resources, lets say both of you flooded, or both of you out of cards in hand. Playing jeghanta in such moments feels really good, she is also a big creature which tap for mana when blood moon is on battlefield. It takes just 1 slot in sideboard to have a basically 8th card for your hand and a backup plan for 2 game scenarios where both of you require topdecks to win the game. I think it worth to play jeghanta when you can
@@w0e.666 yeah after the video i understood why jeghanta is relevant. Mainly for mana fixing when using blood moon. However i still prefer to run a chalice on the cascade matchups.
why not just call it izzet prowess?
no that is NOT a preordain
Counterspell and flusterstorm are also legal now. Modern is a joke
Doesn't change the fact that I still enjoy Reid plaything tho
It’s a secret lair printing
