      Lack of plastic surgery.
In Steve's case, he had white hair since he was a toddler, so you never saw white hair as shocking or old looking with him.
Not that he doesn't look great for his age. But he's not somehow ageless.

I could watch hours of Steve, Marty, and Conan anecdoting and ripping each other. It gives me a case of the warm fuzzies, as does Conan responding to Steve enquiring whether the fountain part of the Rickles/Sinatra story was true by saying yes, it was a fountain...of acid. Followed by Steve saying "so they killed him." So funny. One comedian leaves another an opening for a killer riposte then builds on it. Fantastic!

You gotta remember that the swaggering Elvis was a contrivance bolstered by Col. Parker... Then, over time and with the pills, he started to merge with the character.
I once ran into Richard Prior in a CVS in Atlanta around 11:00 PM one night (he was in town for a couple of shows) and I figured maybe he'd shake my hand if I didn't act too goofy. Well, he did shake my hand but his eyes said "please don't mess with me." It was a 15-second imposition that - with hindsight - I've regretted. Still, I confess, too, that I still sorta dig recounting the moment.

OMG!!!! I loved the last part. You can see the genius of Conan. He knows everybody already heard the Rickles - SInatra anecdote so the he spiced up a little bit :P.

I mean I love Conan, I watched his show every night he is the best. But I can totally relate to how cool it must feel to tell a story to Steve Martin and Martin Short about Jack Nicholson and have the two of them laugh at your story. To me.........thats bliss.

😂. Conan was the best to take over, just sad the ppl in the office didn’t give it time, still happy that this happened and he is more real and he can be more him self. But I honestly don’t watch as much late night shows anymore , Before when Conan came off. Me and my brother would watch him, my brother had cable, his gf would get annoyed, but when I would hang out we watched and it was like a bonding experience, both me and my brother older, but we would laugh at the monologue and just enjoying him. Conan I’d one of the greats me, Dave letterman and Johnny. Conan was that guy, I would stay up late during middle school and high school, loved it. Sleepy at school was worth it, and talk to friends that also saw it and just reminisced 😂

Hard to imagine Martin Short being nervous in front of another person. Normally it's the other way around I'd assume. Must've been a sight to behold😂

He keeps adding to his story.
I believe he shortly met him and Elvis gave that comment, but pretty sure the rest is something he just added to his little story.
