@krisenzweller4327, I think my question is exactly like yours. I have a great tote bag that I love to use, I’d like to add a recessed zipper. I understand, I think adjusting the pattern, but am not sure how to go about stitching those new pieces into the bag. a video showing that process would be a great help. 😊

Could you please do a video on how to see the recessed zipper on the blue and white bag INTO/ONTO the bag. The zipper is getting in the way and my pattern doesn’t clearly say how to sew it in.

Which 3 pieces do you mean?
@@allsewpetite the inner fabric the outer fabric and batting. Quilted. The layers are quilted together. So it does not have a loose liner. Is that possible? I haven't seen that done anywhere. Thank you for the response.
If you want to quilt the fabric beforehand you will need to use bias binding to finish the raw edges, which for this type of closure might not be the best. I would recommend quilting the batting to the back of the external fabric only, so the lining can be still sewn separately. Hope that helps ☺️
You added a seam allowance to the top of your lining casing. Isn’t that included in the pattern already?
It would be in the original pattern, but I always recommend to trace the pattern without the seam allowance. This way it is less confusing (at least for me 😅), because you need to add seam allowance everywhere.
