Thank you!! So much! I have been struggling so hard with my baby's latch since he was born almost 3weeks ago. I'm all bruised/pinched and it's so painful. I used your tips and let him latch on his own tummy to tummy and he finally opened his mouth big enough and we nursed comfortably. I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel!
Thank you so much for this series. I am breastfeeding baby #2 and considered myself seasoned but as LO will be 7 weeks tomorrow I have realized how lazy I have been cprrecting his latch and how uncomfortable it has been. These videos truly make it easy to understand.
Thank you so much for posting these videos. I've been having latch problems with my baby and working with LC at my peds office for weeks, but these videos have made the most difference.
Question: Will baby's head be lying on breast or will in be face straight down on breast/ nose to breast? Would it be different for large breasted mom?
Thank you for this excellent set of videos. I don't know how women got through breastfeeding problems before you tube. Even though my pediatrician has a lactation specialist these videos help so much for questions I have in between visits.
Thank you for these great videos! I've been having a hard time trying to figure out what I was doing wrong when feeding my son. His feeding went so much better when I followed your advice on how to latch properly.
Thank you so much! My son has been crying after every feeding using the football holding method and having a hard time burping, but once I tried this position he was calm and was able to burp with out becoming fussy!
It's hard to tell without looking, but my guess is you need to move him towards his feet an inch or so. That way he will be looking up to take the breast. I hope that helps!
I have been struggling with my 1 month old as she was a bit early and she has a really small mouth. we went from latching but pulling off constantly to now she latches but I cringe because it hurts so badly. she mouth is still small and my lactation consultant is saying it is from her mouth. I really want to make this work. is there anything I can try.
I need help! I've tried so many positions and nothing works. The baby gets mad when I laid him down on me and the struggle is so intense that I need to pick up the bottle again
@@nyakanyasko Any concerns for this position if you have large breast? My newborn is a week old and I'm trying to find positions that combat fast letdown.
Jessica thank you for making this video. I've been trying this position but my baby has a small mouth and doesn't open wide enough. Even with her latching on herself she sometimes struggles getting it right and I'm getting sore badly. Would you have any pointers for how to deal with this situation? Many thanks.
If my baby knees are cured up and hes head is laying on my chest sidways sucking and hes not crying but getting milk. Is that okay to do. Any other way he cries and come off. He is 3 mouths already but the cradle hold on my left breast he doesn't feel comfortable then only my right in the Cradle hold. Laying down on the left side he doesnt like anymore. I dont know what else to do the doesnt like any other positions either only laying down.
Yes, some of these positions will be easier or harder depending on your size/shape. Women with larger breasts are often more comfortable in football hold, sometimes with a towel or baby blanket rolled and placed under the breast to lift it up. Women with smaller breasts are likely to be more comfortable in cradle/cross cradle...

Glad they've helped!
Thank you. My baby is 7 weeks and has never latched. Tonight he was on both breasts for 10mins each. Night time feeding is going to be so much better.

I’m having the problem of his nose getting blocked by the breast. Any suggestions?

Hi jessica. I'm an IBCLC and love your videos. Can you do one on seated straddle position for OAMER?
Do you mean like this one? th-cam.com/video/vgkUieHU2Mw/w-d-xo.html Or do you have something else in mind?
This is great! Sharing with clients and friends.-CLEC

@@shannonhigh9623 You may have to experiment with it some to find a position that is comfortable for you both but there are no specific concerns.
Yes! Thank you. Never heard it called koala position. I learn something new everyday! Thx again

Can this work if I'm trying this at 6. Weeks
+Caren Martinez Yes, there is no age limit. Even some toddlers prefer this position!

and how do you get the baby from the bed onto your body?
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Will this work for saggy breast pls help
I cant bf like this. Baby squishes the breast against me so no milk comes out and it feels weird ti me. Does this depend on breast size or shape?

My babe just sinks with nose
What about mums with large breasts?
Football hold is often easiest. Sometimes rolling up a hand towel and putting it under the breast can help mom be able to see better.
