@@natecallon9755 I play the characters I have the most fun with. I will pick the most favourable among these 3 for certain matchups, but beyond that I don't pick characters for tiers or matchups. It helps that Wario is at least high tier though.
According to my top 3 characters rn I'm:
1. Genuinely nice (Lucina)
2. A cool guy (ZSS)
3. A nerd (Byleth)

No comment, I most certainly am not playing youtube videos in the background while while doing some prep for a new campaign because my players are nearing the end of the current one after 3 and half years. Nope totally not, why do you ask? By the way did you know that in Robin's victory pose where they use arcfire they used to be holding the thunder tome and it took over a month before Nintendo fixed it?
also as someone who played every splatoon game competitively there is WAY more to splatoon than what nintendo shows in trailers and shit,the lore is both really good and deep,i wont even dive (even tho at the end i kinda did lol) into the music because it just has an impossible to not recognize style and a vibe of its own and i guess only by playing you will be able to get it.
so to summarize the game its only extremely poorly marketed by nintendo that apparently is too stupid(nintendo? being STUPID? never happened before) to see the importance of advertising competitive so that not only a "few" adult people get into the game,for the rest the game is great,the story is really a banger,the songs are also great you will come to love them by playing trust me,the mechanics are probably the way to go for shooters,expecially considering that except for a few at this point they are just remaking the same thing over and over again and lastly the competitive is alive and well,they also add new weapons with new kits and it constantly gets updates.
so PLEASE give splatoon a shot if you dont like the artstyle its fine but dont judge a book by its cover,you will be surprised by how hard this game can go.
try to enjoy the game instead of just complaining and most importantly dont play turf war(the least competitive mode in the game and of course the only one shown in trailers)with the worst weapon in the game(something like aerospray wich sucks in battle but paints a lot)and stop there,i know its crazy and that it never ever happened before in gaming history BUT the game is much better when you GET TO KNOW IT,find a weapon you actually like and jump into a game,you will never forget it.

As a Sonic main, I've been told that I am a nice person and a fun friend to be around, but they DO NOT like my character. And also when tell them Sonic is hype, they laugh at the idea and say he's only spins. People make fun of my character, but I'm happy that they don't hate me personally. This realization makes me want to keep playing Sonic and make him tolerable to watch.

So out of all my smash mains I’ve ever had I try incredibly hard to be a cool guy, I can’t hold conversations for the life of me, I don’t think when i play the video game, and I have survived the tide pod challenge. (DK, captain falcon, king k rool, cloud)
