  • Marketplace find for $40. Has oil all over the deck and won’t start. Going to try to diagnose the oil leak and get it started. What’s it worth?

    There is a seal for this governor shaft search honda governor shaft seal. I have tried 3 different ways to post this comment with part number but youtube keeps deleting my comment.

      Thanks! I thought abrupt replacing it but after putting the right oil and oil level, I didn’t experience any more leaks. Maybe if it’s running on the side of a bank for a while it would leak but otherwise I think it should hold.

      @@SHONEY21Z Agreed! My GCV160 only leaked there after I started storing it parked facing uphill a little. Saved Honda maybe $1 by not putting a seal there:)
