I flew this route KE071 last December. The service is top tier. FAs were friendly, helped some to load their carry on into the overhead bins, and brought us plenty of refreshments including a coffee and tea service. Since Korean Air is a full service airline, they are not strict with baggage weight. Didn't see anyone use the bag sizer or scale. I would definitely fly them again.
This is so helpful. I'm flying out in August and it's only my 2nd time ever flying and my first time with Korean Air. I'm kinda nervous. I've read that I can bring a carry-on and a personal bag. Do you think I'd be able to bring a small carry-on luggage and a backpack or would the backpack count as the carry-on?
Dont worry, you’ll have an excellent time with Korean Air :) You can bring a small bag pack with you which will be your personal item, and a small suitcase of less than 10kgs, which will be your carry on But make sure what your ticket says
Fantastic trip report. Liked and subscribed. You had an awesome wing view.
Great video. How was the baggage weight? Were they strict? How was the customer service

Thank You so much! My ticket allowed me to bring 2 pieces of check-in bags of 23kgs each and a carry on for 10kgs. They were not strict at all though!

usually a small carry on luggage with a backpack. The backpack is usually counted as a 'Personal Item", not a 'Carry-on luggage'.
