Very helpful content. We will be traveling in few weeks from LAX to ICN to Manila but have 1 hr layover only in ICN, do you think it’s ok? Both flights are via Korean Air
It’s a quick layover. It’s possible but you need to walk faster to reach the gate. I was there in Incheon, security lines are long but it moves rapidly. Try to get a seat closer to the front door for easy disembarkation. If ever you missed the flight by their fault, they’ll put you on a next flight. I hope this helps and thanks for watching.
A huge safety issue I noticed Takeoff and Landing were at darkness but the cabin lights weren’t dimmed Also I saw a window shade ahead of you that appears to be closed during landing
My wife and I are flying from LAX to BKK in August. I'm thinking of flying on KAL. We'll be flying economy. Who do you think offers the best service at a decent cost? .
Hi Michael. If you want a free stopover tour, opt for Korean or Asiana. I saw in August that ANA is like $14 bucks higher, I’d rather fly a Japanese carrier. They are the best either Japan Airlines or ANA, and food quality is great too.
Very good report. I've been waiting for you to fly on Korean Air since the pandemic hit in 2020. When are you going to upload the following trip reports: Korean Air (ICN-BKK), China Airlines (BKK-TPE), and China Airlines (TPE-MNL)? Hope to see these trip reports on TH-cam soon!
Unfortunately I have not seen it, or maybe they have midflight but i fell asleep 😁. The rear part of the a380 is like a boutique for duty free items, but it was not even used.
Thanks for watching. US, Canada, Mexico are some of the countries I believe that does not have any exit check point. All done electronically upon check-in and boarding.

Regarding seats, I personally find that leather seats are more premium feeling. Cloth seats get hot very quickly, and if you spill something.... But I do think KE's seats feel more premium, because the headrest cover is thick, and....LEATHER! LoL And yes, DL's lounge in T2 isn't the best...ambience and food-wise. If you wanted good food, you should have gone to the main SkyClub in T3. Much more options, and better quality of food and drinks. On the whole, I love KE. They strive to be among the best in the world, and it shows. I agree their inflight entertainment system is limited and lacking compared to other good airlines. But otherwise, everything about KE is top notch - food, flight attendant service/attentiveness and friendliness. By the way, KE does offer snacks/drinks in the galley on long-haul flights. I've flown a gazillion times with them over the past 2 years, and they've always had it - fruit, chips, cookies, etc. I can't imagine them not having them on a somewhat lengthy flight as LAX-ICN. You can even request for them to make a bowl of (instant) noodles for you. Give KE another try, some of the things you found unfavourable might be rectified.
Hi Tristan, thank you so much for a detailed thought about this trip. For the lounge, I went to the newest one in T3 (they’re situated in between t2-t3) and yes the lounge looks great. As for KE, I would still give them a try considering their fares are lower sometimes on this route. Again, thanks for watching.
On this flight, the crew serving our aisle never smiles nor shows enthusiasm about being a cabin crew of KE. Others were nice though. However they’re nowhere to be found after the meal service and up to the next meal service.
I checked in from delta and they followed the same weight limit. Mine was over for a pound but they let it pass. If it’s 52 pounds they might have charged me. Thanks for watching.
So when I flew Korean Air and checked into my flight with them they did weigh my carry on and personal item together. Their rule is everything you carry onto the plane needs to be under 22lbs so 10kg all together. So since I had my work backpack with my work and personal laptop in it my actual carry on luggage had to be checked. I hope that helped! Happy travels!
@@jacobs4985 yes you can check in online if you have the Korean Air app. I know people have had issues checking in through their website though. Also they have a different line for dropping off your checked bags if you have already checked in online and have your ticket and that line is WAY shorter.
@@duaneowens7777 i paid extra luggage for $200 since they only allow 2 pc with 50lbs each. The staff told me if it was 52lbs up, they may not consider it. 1 of my bag weights 51lbs 🤣 btw im 100% filipino and speaks english and filipino
I forgot, it was delta agent who checked me in all the way to korea since i flew originally from San Francisco. But my family has been flying KE and informed me they were not too strict with the bags.
A380 is really huge. Boarding process is longer because of the passenger load, I even wonder how it is like at emirates first class to have a shower midflight on their a380 😁
