    I have owned a total gym for 3 years. I didn't do a whole lot with it until recently. After watching this video of the different bicep exercises, i will definitely be using it a lot more. Thank you for posting this video.

    That first exercise is a great biceps exercise for sure, but only if one’s shoulders are sufficiently developed to provide adequate stability. Without that shoulder strength this exercise can potentially place a lot of stress on the anterior shoulder.
    I have owned a large-frame Total Gym since 1999, and just recently picked up a small-frame model because it fits a little better in my exercise room. The resistance capabilities are nearly the same, and it is simply the best home gym available.

      A Triceps short wud complement the Bi short..I noted your new fav bicep curl is now the seated facing tower..B4 I believe your go to was the kneeling face away from tower..I always switch with what my fav is🙂

    Great video Mike. Like you sporting those fat grips to blow up the forearms as well. You really show how versatile. The Total gym is. If you have imagination and understand body mechanics, it's a pretty hard machine to be. Dollar for dollar. I don't think there's anything else that can do as much as the Total Gym can.

    Just want to say I use these exercises a lot for my arms. And they got bigger. The question I have is how big can my arms get if I do it for a whole month?

    Suggestion consider a video of 'every exercise sitting facing the machine'... every exercise 'lying facing away'... every exercise with X,Y,Z attachment, etc. I know you do circuits but when people put an attachment on it's just kind of pointless to do only 1 exercise. That's the way I'm using the machine at least. Working on a spreadsheet of exercise by attachment and by position will share it with you soon to see if this would be of use

    Total gym is great for isolation with the arms. Not so much the chest, imo, because you can't use heavy resistance

      No, I don't think all FIT models have the weight bar standard. Just check on the package that you order.

    Questions:
    Did you actually develop your physique on the Total Gym ?
    And, are there any issues with having your head lower than the rest of your body?

      I basically use the total gym for my resistance training from 2020 to about 2023. I wouldn’t do all my exercise inverted but I don’t think there’s much risk of doing a few single joint exercises.

    How many sets and reps do you do?

      It really depends sometimes if 2-3 sets for 10-20 reps or I'll go 1 set to failure. Ultimately try to stress / stimulate the muscle as muscle as possible in a given workout.

    I won't do them kneeling forward personally. Have you ever done them side kneeling? That's another good way. I have also done spider hammer curls from the laying preacher position

      Where you're faced sideways from the tower? If so I have tried that and I personally don't get the same benefits. I also don't like that it's one arm at a time.

      They are supposed to help with grip strength. I just throw them on from time to time to mix up the workouts a bit. They're called "Fat Gripz" and I've made a couple videos on them if interested.

      I really appreciate you watching and commenting brother, but different form for different machines. I wouldn't go fast with traditional weights. But I've been used to the "too fast argument" for a while when I used this for my only form of resistance training for 2020-2023. I would tell people going fast you get a much better pump / stimulus than going slow on these machines. Ironically people started saying "I'd lose gains" then it turned into "you're on trt". Worked for me brother. God Bless you though regardless.

      I appreciate the comment brother, but I'm just sharing what I use and made the videos because people asked for it. I used this machine from 2020-2023 when gyms were locked down and just share the exercises that worked for me. I've expressed in many videos that this machine is far from perfect, but I stand by that for arms, this machine is great. May God bless you none the less.
