Yes. She says lazy, I see "confident." I've been quilting for many years but today learned a new technical term: Finger Smushing! *And lastly, I was so pleased to hear to be aware of the bias edges. ❤ Loved it. ❤
I know this is not your first video on this block but I think this time you're making it even more clear & easy--as you say, even a beginner should find this easy to do. Thank you for so many great videos.
Made a Hunter Star a few years ago using your first video. Turned out great! Definitely the most straight forward and accurate way of putting it together. I know this because I searched high and low on the Internet
Tiffany I just have to say your tutorials are so complete and easy to follow. I enjoy just sitting here and watching you complete a block even if it isn’t one I plan on making. I understand and can stop along way to follow you even without the pattern being printed out.. I love that you show the different ways to do these blocks so that if you don’t have the “tools” you can still make the blocks. Some tutorials just push the tool end of the tutorial. When I first started quilting there we only templates we made and no you tube. This is so much better. Quilting can be fun not stressful. Thank you for your encouragement and time. Hope you are doing well and that the heat isn’t playing to hard on your health.❤
Tiffany, this was a great video.I love all your videos but this was really helpful. You always move so fast when your making quilts. I am new to quilting and need to know how to make the actual block. Please do more of this type of videos.
The way you taught this block is PRICELESS! I have only made a hunter's star quilt once. I had a lot of fun with a pattern that turned the points into half square triangles ... the key to the pattern is I only made it once. I really like pointy blocks, but you rekindled my enjoyment of pointy blocks with this video. The HST plan was actually too much inefficiency! I have bookmarked this video because I am sure I will forget, but now I have it saved and I can easily remember what you have taught. I only have fifty two quilts tops (or more) that need to be quilted ... but, just in case I run out ... LOL I hope that your work on the design wall saved you some time and energy - - SERIOUSLY! It was fun to watch the stills go by, though I did miss your "chatter" ... I am not here for mindless entertainment, and you provide much appreciated POSITIVE input and encouragement. As I said, I LIKED the design wall filling up, but was abundantly pleased when you saved the last few blocks for more training. So creative! I cannot tell you how much you have put into my life and learning because you are just so thorough. I do not ever want to take what you do for granted. Your videos are just so INSPIRATIONAL - - on so many levels. The lazy daisy quilting was PERFECT! Beautiful! The butterfly was PRICELESS! This makes me want to cut up all my big pieces of fabric into ten inch squares - - at this point, my only other idea has been Scrappy Mountain Majesties, but this certainly look like a better use of large pieces of colorful "scraps".
Awe, thank you so much for the kind words 💗 I appreciate when people enjoy my videos like you do. Also, you definitely need to get started on quilting up your quilt tops 😄 🤣 😂 you have way more than me, and I thought 28 was to many unquilted haha. I hope you have fun making this!
Awesome colors great tutorial love how you show people how to trim or cut different ways if you don’t have certain tools, have never made a hunters star but years ago made a disappearing hourglass that was simpler another great video thank you
Thank you Tiffany! You made that look so darn easy I’m going to try it. You always remind me that I don’t have to have perfect fabrics/pieces to make beautiful results. Thanks again!
I watched the replay. You never cease to amaze! I think I could actually make a Hunter-s Star now! Thank you for explaining all steps so they are easy to understand. You rock!
Hi Tiffany, Scott and Thumper! My friend just made a small quilt with this pattern. It was scrappy & she had fun. Thanks for this tutorial. Your quilts are beautiful. 💕💙🐱🧵
Oooooh la laaaaaaaa!!!!! Tiffany, I love this pattern. It is gorgeous with that dark background. Gonna try this with birthstone colors for each sibling and will have to do a multi-color for my mom with all birthdays represented. Thanks for sharing. GORGEOUS!!!!!
Using 2 colors are beautiful. I made one of these before and had a lot of leftovers pieces. I have been wanting to make another quilt and will definitely try your way so I don’t have much left over scraps.
I never knew how cool and easy those were. Gonna for sure make that one even if I just do a small throw. Looks too fun not to. I like your stitching on it too.
Betty here. This is one of the first quilts I made about 8 years ago. Mine is soft emerald green with little white trees and white. Still needs quilting. 🎉
😍 I love this. I just won a very pretty layer cake that I will pair with some background fabric and make this quilt. It turned out beautifully. Blessings, Andrea, aka Mama J.
