I really enjoyed your video. Great block. Could be done in so many different seasons. I like your start to finish and even reinforcing the pressing at each step and squaring up. I think it never hurts to get those reminders. Even pinning and slowing down our speed when putting our blocks together. I like using my painters tape or my magnet. I find my seams are much straighter. That last second of stitching I was sliding off wrong direction. It is amazing the difference just looking away for a second makes. I enjoyed how you “fixed” your stripe. I find myself not using stripes because a lot of time the print is actually off. Merry Christmas and thanks for a great video
No seams to match up, using up an entire layer cake, AND it’s gorgeous Christmas fabric…can I just say I LOVE THIS QUILT! The star fabric made the whole top pop. Absolutely love it. Thanks Miss Tracy, this is a fun one. Merry Christmas to you and your family. 🤗🤗🤗 Hope you’re enjoying that new grandbaby. ☺️
“Figgy” in this context means with raisins. If you put your masking tape on the underside of your ruler it forms a “ledge” to butt up against the block fold and helps you be super accurate.
I love figgy pudding esp with rum sauce (or hard sauce). It's a cake that is steamed right before it is served. It tastes a lot like mince pie, but more carrot cake- like texture. Your fabric is beautiful. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Your videos give so much joy throughout the year.
Some time back I found your channel....subscribed and love it! You bring such good humor so we can tell you love what you are doing. You put in a lot of hard work doing this and I appreciate it !! How much? I don't even quilt ! LOL Love sewing, but some day I just might make a lap quilt. Hoping you and family have a wonderful Christmas !!!
I love the Christmas music! I bought linen sheets for our bed! My husband loves them, I Santa sure he would though. I have also bought linen for the back of a quilt I will make!! Love your videos!!
"Mary Did You Know" brings tears to my eyes. ❤❤❤It is the Christmas Story and the Easter Story at the same time.❤❤❤ Close second is "Angels We Have Heard on High."
Don’t we all have PJ days😂. Beautiful Fabric! I like your choice of pattern, I think it lets each piece of fabric speak. So many beautiful Christmas carols to choose from . I always love Mary Did You Know and Silent Night. Merry Christmas Tracy to you and your family🎄❤️🎄
Little drummer boy and silent night are my and were my mom’s favorite Christmas songs she passed away 8 years ago right before Christmas n this is the first time since I’ve put up a tree . Your quilt is beautiful Tracy has hope you have a wonderful and merry Christmas
I have two favorite Christmas songs. Do you remember Napster? I collected 482 different covers of O Holy Night. I’d love to still have them. My other favorite is Angels We Have Heard on High. I learned the alto line while participating in an audition-only work choir years ago. Gorgeous fabric line. 3 Sisters is my favorite. So elegant.
I think I’m gonna have to give this quilt a go, it’s so nice. ‘Little Drummer Boy’ is one of my favorite Christmas songs. Merry Christmas, Tracy, to you and yours!☃️🎄☃️
Sleigh Ride is my favorite, we played it every year for the Christmas concert in high school. Isn’t it so much fun to watch your package go through the ridiculous route to eventually get to you. I decided one package was going to go through every major city in Texas before it arrived in rural south plains.
Such a pretty quilt! There are so many ways you could finish this quilt. You might want to make another one. The big square blocks can frame something special in the center.
The Little Drummer Boy is one of my most favorite Christmas songs. Also, I have never even had a fig, or seen a fig, figgy pudding is a weird phrase to put into a song! I think!
Figgy pudding, no, but plum pudding , YES! My momma was British, and a few times while I was growing up, she made Plum Pudding. I have her recipe, and I have given it a go a few times. Basically it's a cake with lots of fruit and nuts, it uses suet rather than shortening, and it is steamed instead of baked. It is sooooo good. Now I'm hungry. 😂
Hi there! I’m not an experienced quilter, but I’m trying and from what simple things I have done, I enjoy. First, thank you for your video…love the fabrics for this quilt! I have a question, can I quilt as I go, rather than layer it later?
Turned out beautiful. But have you seen the no cutting version of that block? I don't know how to link it but it's from the Sew Charming Quilt Shop and it's called The quickest and easiest quilt block you will ever make. You lay the 5 in square on the 10 in square and fold over two sides and do a 1/4 in seam then open and press then fold the other two sides in and repeat. I did it in a Christmas fabric also. But I cut each square diagonally in half and mixed them up and sewed them back together again. Made it look like picture frames. Just too many ideas out there! Oh, I love the way you folded the blocks in half to square them up. Great technique if you don't have the perfect size square ruler. Will be using that!

Neither files open once I purchased and downloaded this pattern. I get the message "Can't open file." These aren't PDFs??? Cute pattern, but ...

It totally needed that black to pop for sure....💥 Have a blessed Christmas🙏🏼(looking forward to hangin' with ya at quilt con🎉)
This quilt reminds me of square in a square quilt. The fabric line is really quite beautiful. The quilt is beautiful.
“Figgy” in this context means with raisins.
If you put your masking tape on the underside of your ruler it forms a “ledge” to butt up against the block fold and helps you be super accurate.
Great idea Dorothy!!!💥
I love “ O, Holy Night.” The line “a thrill of hope” describes my Christmas joy perfectly. Gets to me every time.
And I love Oh Holy Night.
Thank you for this very good video on using a layer cake. You are right, this layer cake was beautiful. Thank you for all your tips. I
The weary world rejoices for yonder breaks a new and glorious morn. Love it too! My very favorite.
Dip a spool of your white cotton thread in coffee. It’s one of the most difficult stains to remove! You should be good.
So beautiful! (From Brazil) 🌹
Favorite Christmas song. Mary Did You Know

Not me. I'll do the usual way. It doesn't save any time and may come out wonky if something moves.

Thank you Tracey for those tips about squaring the block. First time I’ve seen it done that way. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Love those colors and the design is simple and perfect❤
Great easy quilt. Just a tip...don't iron on top of your cutting mat. You don't want it to warp.
Love the quilt Tracey. Will give this one a go. Oh Holy night is my favourite. Holly berries would be a nice quilt pattern. Desley 🇦🇺
I really enjoyed this video! The fabric was beautiful and I appreciated your humor and hints on fixing boo boos. How about quilting bells and stars.

Pretty! Try linen towels too! Fabulous! Love to make linen wash mitts because they leave your skin so soft! Where did you get your linen sheet?
Check out all the links in the info box❤
I found you recently through PrairieDustTrail, and I am so happy to find someone who takes the nonsense out of quilting and keeps it real. Thank you!
Lovely quilt!

This layer cake is very pretty.
I have never had figgy pudding and honestly was never clear on what it actually is... until now! :)
I love Mary Did You Know, but Silver Bells brings back my childhood memories from 70+ yrs ago❤
I love this fabric! Made a throw size quilt with a Jolly Bar from FQS. Just 1/2 of a layer cake.
Enjoying the replay ❤
Absolutely beautiful! ❤❤
You got snow for sure. We finally dug out here in Chardon.
I’ll be home for Christmas. For some reason, I found myself humming it all year long.
Thank you for the fun pattern and excellent tips!
The Little Drummer Boy is one of my most favorite Christmas songs. Also, I have never even had a fig, or seen a fig, figgy pudding is a weird phrase to put into a song! I think!
Sew pretty quilt! Love the pattern!! I would do a poinsettia pattern for the quilting. ❤
My favorite Christmas song is silver bells. Love your Christmas quilt and I think you should quilt it with string of lights that would be perfect

Love your Christmas Quilt. Sorry about the Sand Thread. I was thinking about Poinsettias!
I ❤ your finished quilt top.
Do circles since it’s a square block quilt. Merry Christmas and God Bless you and your family!
So so cute! I love it😊
Favorite Christmas-- O Holy Night
Lovevthe quilt and pattern. I know your love of linen, but why a 3-inch binding? Silent Night with all 4 verses!
Hi there! I’m not an experienced quilter, but I’m trying and from what simple things I have done, I enjoy. First, thank you for your video…love the fabrics for this quilt! I have a question, can I quilt as I go, rather than layer it later?
I love the idea of holly berries for the quilting. The farthest I've gotten with free motion quilting is straight lines lol
Beautiful ❤ TiP I use a wall for basting 😉
Figgy pudding is like fruit cake, full of raisins, currents, candied orange and lemon peel and chopped walnuts
I like the idea of holly's

I would love to meet you ladies! Just can't afford it!
Jingle bells is my favorite carol.
Спасибо за интересное видео, обязательно сошью такое одеяло!
Beautiful! How about poinsettias or holly.
Will try making figgy pudding this year! Thanks!
Love your channel. I haven’t made a quilt before, I could not purchase pattern as no PayPal. Thank you
It looks great Tracy. Can’t wait to see it finished.
I love O Holy Night 😊
It turned out great! Beautiful easy pattern.
Btw…beautiful hands. What nail polish is that? I’m always looking for a good neutral.
