Just a quick update. I am kicking myself.
What I said in the end of this video about stressing the tires was correct. HOWEVER, I didn’t realize that the brake bias that I had was a BIG part of the tires being stressed out.
This is really funny to me, but as soon as I increased my brake bias towards the front, again, I was LITERALLY 3tenths quicker.
    I’m learning…slowly but surely.
More on that on part 3🚀.

I’m very happy to hear (read) that! Glad you’re enjoying it, mate🚀🚀

The grind is real 🙂 Would you mind sharing your session settings? So could maybe throw in a lap or two to join the grind, haha. I'm currently learning how to drive the 296 fast, based on Suellios Academy drills I am so much more worse in GT3 than in other cars. Decided to attack the weak point because my theory is that if you practice the thing that you are worst at the skills will transfer to the more comfortable areas/cars. Even though it feels demoralizing at times 😀

Awesome to hear your challenging yourself! I like that approach too!!
I am using the Ferrari "Challenge" Setup. The only thing I am playing around with is the brake bias (just like in the Ferrari Challenge series).
As for the track conditions, again, I used the ones that were used for the Ferrari challenge a few months ago. It's 80F, partly cloudy (5%-35% cloud cover), 36%-65% humidity and 7-10 mph wind.

@@Achillefsgiannisis What about the track state% (how much rubber)? Has a huge impact on the grip of course.

@@quazster The marbles are tuned off and the track state is left on "generate". By the way, look at my original reply again (I edited it) because I gave you the wrong track conditions. Now I have corrected everything, so you should have everything exactly as I have it!!

What you said about stressing the tyres is right, I think drivers like max get around this with a really loose rear to get good rotation and then they master the rear wheel slip around corners, so they are just on a feathers edge of grip
Looking at your onboard here, I don’t know for sure because I can’t feel what you feel, but it almost feels like you have too much grip, I think you should practice with as little rear df as possible and practice chucking the car into corners and slipping a bit more
Easier said than done ofc, but if you watch Verstappen on board you can feel him doing this to perfection

Based on my experience so far, I've noticed that it is really easy to get caught on the idea of getting more rotation out of the car and forgetting to have the right balance of stability (so you don't overheat the rear tires).
After posting this video, I actually increased my brake bias (less rotation) and that helped me get less heat on the rears. Even though I have lost a bit of rotation, I was able to make up more time by getting a better acceleration (less wheel spin) on my exits.
Currently, I am using the default "challenge" setup and I don't want to make any changes on it, because I am basing my GOAL LAP from a well established sim racer who was able to do a 1:42.7 with the "challenge setup". If I make any changes on that setup, then it wouldn't be fair to compare my lap time to theirs!!
Now I am 3 tenths away from my goal, so I'm hoping that I am on the right path...but believe me when I say that I am constantly doubting if my current brake bias is the correct one.
You might be right and I need to make the rear more loose (AGAIN)...only time will tell.
I really appreciate the advice and will definitely try something out, inevitably!!

Your FFB is clipping when you turn

You are right! Unfortunately, if I reduce the clipping then my steering wheel feels wayy too weak....

Nice video! You can save way more time, when you take a look into your laps you have done, through Garage61, as example.
You have done a lot of laps, some more clean, some lesser, but there will be sectors of each lap, which put together are going the faster than you achieved so far.
    Keep up the good work!
