Love this game. I can assure you our arcade does not have flippers near this quality. Not taking away from the fact that you are an excellent player. Would love to own one of these but then I wouldn’t get anything done at home. :(
Both scoops on the machine I played sent the ball DIRECTLY into the drain every time. You had to slap save every time for the right scoop, and the left was a nearly unavoidable death, as the drain is so huge that the force required to correct the ball would almost always result in a tilt. PLEASE tell me the arcade I went to was just shady as hell, and these aren't actually the default settings.
The ghostbusters at the location near me... The scoop fires the ball right down the middle... nearly impossible to save... If not impossible due to the speed.. It's been this way for a YEAR on location... Such a bummer operators don't maintain their machines... Makes the hobby such a bummer. Today when I played it after 6 months ... I thought for sure they had fixed it... First shot out of the scoop.. right down the center... I walked away... Too many games in too much disrepair... Total waste of time.
Try lightly shaking the game side to side while it’s in there until it spits out. Sometimes you can offset the balls path. This has worked for quite a few machines in my experience.
Watching you do the dead flip. What you do is get it to go up the ramp, and then do a hard pull on it. You don't have to slam into it. I feel that would make the game tilt to easily. If done right it will do what you wanted. If done wrong it will come down. You can try again. only a few times have I had it not work.
Halfax7 100% agree, slamming the plunger is less effective and a lot harder on the hand. What you have to watch out for is if the second plug is too hard then you bounce over the switch at the end of the shooter lane and it doesn't register the skill shot.
We had a tournament at work a few weeks back, and they said that the "Double Plunge" was not allowed. I showed them how to pull it off on one plunge. XD Plus Do you shoot for the X (Times, K) bonus every shot. I have found my groove with the + (Plus, P) shot more.
This game is great, but it could've been even better. Imagine if Mr. Stay Puft slowly turned to the left and "walked" through "NY", then turned to the right and walked back to his original position. It's one of the most iconic scenes in the movie when that giant thing is slowly waking through the city. That would've been awesome.. and then you defeat him by "crossing 4 streams", which would be shooting 4 different targets, and you'd get some cool lighting effect and he's no longer illuminated or something. But it doesn't do that. The only thing I see move is Slimer. meh. I'm all about "living" toys.. interactive toys.
AnAverage Guy if you’re speaking of the left scoop them the power to it can be adjusted in the menu so that it’s not shooting the ball straight down the middle
