YO CATSY I was using a compressor called ChannelStrip actually that I purchased from the App Store! 😄 I personally would not recommend using the stock compressor just because it unfortunately isn’t very powerful or versatile! There are plenty of options for affordable compressors on the App Store, although ChannelStrip is my personal favorite among them! 🙌

No sir, your recording is delayed because you have monitoring turned on while your auto-tune is active! To fix this, either turn off your auto-tune during recording, or turn off monitoring. I go for the latter personally, because I can hear myself clearly when I record without the monitor there, but if you’re not comfortable with that then you can use the monitor with auto-tune turned off and then turn it on during playback. Hope that helps!
Great question! 😄 I have pre-sets I’ve made to all of my tools that I set up as a mixing starting point before I sing, then after I sing I tweak those pre-sets based on the specific mix I’m working with!

The methods in this video should still work for karaoke-style mixing! You’re basically just taking a .wav file of the song you want to cover and then tracking/mixing your vocals over it! I actually use this method repeatedly in my own original music due to some of the limitations of GarageBand!

It all comes down to your plug ins and your mixing! There are really great noise gate plugins you can find on the iTunes Store to stop the air and background noise from getting into your mix! Just remember to still record in as quiet of a space as you can find!

I’ve tried several times in the passed and unfortunately at this time I’m just not able to create a good balance between managing projects for clients and also keeping up with my own content as an artist. You can just use a dongle to plug headphones in. That’s actually what I do now.
