Why is it that people complain about RE7, and then the same people say RE4 is their favorite Resident Evil Game? RE7 is just as bad as RE4, maybe even worse. Resident Evil went downhill when they released RE4, that was the beginning of the RE Action Shooters. RE4 barely had any puzzles, not much RE horror, and you can even buy weapons from merchants in RE4! How doesn't that sound like a Action Game? RE4 was the beginning of the end for resident evil. I remember when RE4 first released, I started playing it, and about 45mins through the game I had to turn it off, because it was so boring, it didn't feel like a true resident evil game. This is coming from someone that grew up playing the old resident evil games (RE0, RE1, RE2, RE3, RE Code Veronica), so going from those old games to RE4, it was so much of a disappointment, I sold my copy of RE4 the same day I bought it. RE4 is trash, just like all of the other modern RE games, including RE7.
RE4 was not the problem of RE action shooters it was CAPCOM's decision on follow up titles in particular 5 and 6. For example let's compare the 2 similar scenes on RE4 and RE5 where you are being surrounded by enemies on start. Is night on RE4 is day on RE5. You are alone on RE4 vs having a trained guns expert covering your ass on RE5. You just have a knife as Leon vs Chris beating the shit out of enemies. Now look at Dead space that came in between 4 and 5, superb use of lighting, sound, atmosphere, helplessness in general. So what's the problem then? Is it the camera or Capcom's approach to the genre? On its defense RE4 had scaring elements in particular very good atmosphere, especially in the beginning. The cutscence on start, being surrounded while on the house by a horde of enemies until the bell tolls, It didn't try to be cheap with the camera like its predecessors. Admittedly it was barely scary mostly because enemies were human, there was plethora of ammo and didn't force jumpscares so no is not a horror game. The RE with fixed camera you mentioned are full of issues by today's standards. They are blending adventure elements with action while at the same time having the worst camera angle and an autolock system that feels unrewarding and pointless. No wonder newer titles don't try to mix these 2 anymore. For example look at The Medium, Song of Horror etc they don't try to do something more than they should be. They use fixed camera mostly, are adventure games at their core and adding action would not only be implemented poorly but would be pointless. Now think for a sec, what was scary on older RE? Was it the atmosphere? Lack of ammunition? The 5 or so jumpcares on every RE title? Or maybe the retarded camera angles that you cannot see further than your nose while hearing growls and when suddenly the camera changes you get grabbed by an enemy that under normal circumstances you would have seen from half a mile away? That's not scary that is plain retarded.
I think I need to make something a bit clear. First, this game was easily the best Resident Evil Game since Resident Evil 4. There's no arguing. Second, this was a return to Survival-Horror. If you are a Resident Evil fan who thinks the games are action-based, you're wrong. Third, Think the game's easy? Play it on Normal then on Madhouse. It messes with your brain. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is a perfect game, end of story. And another thing I think I need to say is that just because the game doesn't meet your personal needs doesn't mean it's a bad game
Revelations series was better than this garbage, especially revelations 2. Not because of camera or anything of that sort but vastly for the reasons he said. Also you get so many consumables early game is a joke. Going on the side house with 80 handgun bullets, 20 advanced bullets and 20 shotgun shells with 6 bottles and 5 herbs after the only engagement was 8 enemies, like wow... And already having 2 handguns 1 shotgun and flamethrower in a bit. Like they may as well give me all consumables from start. Even on madhouse I was checking videos game was a joke, you would get many items faster than normal. There are no open areas with enemies to explore whatsoever. Game is full of tiny corridors literally no variation on level design. Is sad that having a good brand name combined with superb marketing can make up for lack of gamerplay experience.
Wildlands is entertaining thus far, it's basically Far Cry 3 without animals. Wildlands also uses the recent and contrived ubisoft openworld design template. Start game, open map, see a million collectable objects on the map and select a way point to the nearest one rinse and repeat. Missions are the same bag, see outpost/tower/enemy camp, do some recon while marking targets and clear it out. It sounds terrible given what I've written, but personally it's just something to play while waiting for mass effect. Ironically I traded resident evil in to get it.
Been thinking of trading Resident Evil and Sniper Elite for it, but I'm unsure if I'll like it. I hated The Division, but I think I just hated the world and setting.
KieranMFilms in contrast to the Division, wildlands doesn't contain bulletsponge enemies. This encourages the use of steathy tactics, for which the series is known for. The Division's issue was that it encouraged steath tactics that made no fucking sense, considering that its kinda difficult to maintain stealth when you have to shoot an enemy in the head 45 times. Wildlands is my current "farting around" game, I'm still having fun with it despite my intense cynicism towards the open world ubisoft template. They're trying for another assassin's creed 2 every time but lose it with the generic stories that aren't overly compelling. As for Co op I don't care, my online game of choice will be super mega baseball 2. can't wait for that shit.
@@Ismail_Mar You clearly dont know Survival Horror. All games after RE4 were action packed instead of horror. If you're a real fan, like me, you'll love this game because this is a return to that exact survival horror

That's not scary that is plain retarded.
I mean the fucked up the timeline characters etc and the gameplay just why? And a ranger dude said resident evil 6 is bad just why
100% agree
I really think your channel would benefit if you bring back cooter
I'm 4 years late but I feel like you didn't play the game. Lol
honestly I played resdint evil 6 in normal mode and enimes where much more harder and playing resdint evil 7 in normal wasn't challenging at all
Wildlands is entertaining thus far, it's basically Far Cry 3 without animals.
This comment has aged about as well as the Baker family.
Excellent game, true return to survival horror. Has all the classic elements and mechanics of the original games.
Are you high, blind, or both?......
Dude , you know shit about the survival horror roots .
@@Ismail_Mar You clearly dont know Survival Horror. All games after RE4 were action packed instead of horror. If you're a real fan, like me, you'll love this game because this is a return to that exact survival horror
make a titanfall 2 video
This is a kiddies game... Simply too stupid for adults. Thats why its important to see reviews made by adults and not go by the comments written in the store page in STEAM .
People are only hating on this game because it's different from the previous installments of the RE franchise. Either that, or it's hipsters that hate anything that's new and popular.
Put it this way ,If you have a film with the name (Rambo) you will hate it if you found out it is talking about a police guy fighting crime in New york , this game has nothing to do with the RE series , they should have used some other name for it .
@@Ismail_Mar Here's a thought. What if this game was set in 2017 and had followed the previous installment?
i cant even be bothered finishing it worst game the play sucked!
If Mega Man 11 gets good review I will never buy non for Capcom's trash but if Mega Man 11 gets bad review Capcon can die. I hate Capcom as much as EA, Activation, Konami and Ubisoft heck Sega/Sonic Team, Namco Bandai, Bethesda and Square Enix are more competent than Capcom and that's saying alot Mega Man can only save Capcom right now Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Vs. Capcom and Yoshinori Ono are killing Capcom
If you look at the numbers it looks like Capcom is destroying everyone else
Sorry for my english....I accept it, they copied some part of gameplay like outlast and other games but they didn't totally changed...in this game we can mostly see and realise how beautiful was resident evil before and they replaced the same beautiful thing in res7...one thing for fans, resident evil was resident evil always and they didn't copied full theme of other games except some part...and u will experience a resident evil 4 hype if you play this game even better if you understand full res 7 gameplay and story 100% guaranteed 🖒...and for haters u guys can accept it if last of us or dying light copied the theme of resident evil with difftrent story and gameplay but u can't accept re7 copied some parts of outlast and alien isolation...for haters logic 🖕
