    I wear many fragrances from Parfum Satori, which I buy directly from Madam Satori herself by appointment in her Tokyo atelier (I'm laughing now as it sounds so fancy written out like that😆) and they're unisex, shared with my husband. I highly recommend the following, if you or anybody reading has a gap in their fragrance collection and the descriptions I give sound like what they're missing:
    1) Koke Shimizu: This smells like that beautifully pure, pollution-free mountain air on a crisp early morning. Think of a forest brook. Standing next to it, as the clean water flows over the rocks and loads of juicy green moss. It's such an exquisite composition, not like any Western interpretation (different raw ingredient sourcing too, as with most Japanese fragrances, which is an exciting and critical detail to keep in mind). This smells like fresh mountain water trickling over moss at 7am. Glorious.
    2) Hyouge: This is tea and clary sage done to perfection. No harsh herbal edge, no bitterness whatsoever. This is a different sort of 'green'. Think of yourself drinking green tea, standing barefoot on plush green grass which has been freshly drenched by slightly sweet summer rain.
    3) Suiren: You're in Provence or the Amalfi Coast in July. It may be all about 'lotus' but it smells like a very expensive holiday in a luxurious part of the aforementioned countries. I know of nothing else like it. It's musky and warm with a wonderful sweet herbal edge. Wearing it enhances your own summer skin smell.
    4) Mother Road 66: This one also has no dupe. It reminds me of the above in a way but has a much warmer, slightly richer 'hot summer skin' smell. A super easy every day fragrance when you want something that doesn't fit into any immediately discernible olfactory category but also don't want to be challenged. You cannot pick out any of the notes when you smell it. It's such a terrific unicorn.
    I hope you'll try some of these out if you ever come across Satori samples for purchase. ☺

      Indeed, this sounds really fancy, hahaha. 1) sounds like something I would enjoy 2) sends chills down my spine ( I hate the feeling of grass under my bare feet 🤣 and I am not the biggest fan of tea in perfume 3) and 4) make me want to go on holiday ASAP 🤣 Thank you for your recommendations. I have never heard of this brand. I will see if there is any chance of getting my nose on them here

    Such a pleasure to see you pop up on my feed with a new video. I enjoy hearing your thoughtful insights and opinions. Great mood boards. The picture of Sade piqued my curiosity to know what fragrances Sade wear-- I'll have to try to research that. I wear Terre D'Hermes Eau Intense Vetiver and Lalique Encre Noire A L'Extreme and I love both of them . I've been wanting to try Bvlgari's Man in Black and also Mercedes-Benz Club Black. Lovely video.

      Hi, Yana. Thank you for your lovely comment. Oh I would really like to know what kind of scents she uses, but Noir Extreme could definitely be one of them. I used to wear Al' Extreme too, ocassionally wear Terre D'Hermes as well and used to wear Bentley For Men Intense. I will try to sniff Club Black. Thank yo for watching 😘😘😆

    I just found your channel - love your style! I am a female and I love love love flowery perfumes - like diorissimo level flowery but also love to wear davidoff’s zino. I originally bought it for my husband who wore it for a while but went on to other fragrances. But one day I just smelled the zino for nostalgia and just said what the heck and sprayed it on and I love wearing it from time to time. It’s warm woodsy and with a touch of subtle flowers. Love it and am so glad to hear that it can be a thing !! thanks so much !

    Your love of New York Intense and Declaration makes you a complete badass. As far as CDG2, I actually prefer the women’s version. If or when I finish that mini bottle I’ll get a bigger one. Thanks for the upload!

      Yes! The silver one. I assumed it was the ladies since there is a man’s version. Whatever!
      As far as Declaration being Uber masculine…nah. I think it leans a bit more masculine, but anyone can wear it if they love it.

    Hello Iga,
    it's good to see a video from you. I just bought the Tom Ford Noir Extreme because I couldn't get the femme version. I love a lot of those dark wood, spice, resinous notes and incense that are often associated with men's fragrances. I often find men's fragrances or unisex fragrance more interesting. I don't like oregano in fragrance either. I like to eat it, not wear it.😅 Thanks for your video! - Jenn

    • @pixieandthenotes
      @pixieandthenotes  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, Jenn. I think they have discontinued the Femme version, unfortunatley. I totally agree, masculine fragrances very often have more depth to them. Female perfumes in the past had that too, bu these days I feel it's all about sickly sweetness and gourmands.

  • @thescentsofme

    nice ones, pixie 👍 but i still can’t imagine declaration on a “WO-MAN” 😅
    loved the mood boards, they add a lot to your words ❤️
    btw… i think i’ve already gotten used to the new color of your hair. might even prefer it to the red, tiny tho 😁
    when it comes to female perfumes on my caveman body: here’s a shocker --> Insolence EdP by Guerlain 😅🙈😊 totally my vibe, huh? 🤣

      Hahahah, thank you. I am still debating whether I should keep this hair colour or go back to red. We'll see.

    Witam!

Polecam testy CDG, New York też sztos, jeśli lugisz klimat nieco vintage. Pozdrówka!

    I said to Bvlgari I said, where's my Whoa-Man in Black? I love women in black. 🖤😉😆 Couldn't agree more with Egoiste. Big fan of the newest version of Noir Extreme too. Puts that leather back in to balance the sweetness of the original dna. Love those mood boards Iga. ❤ The split screen was a great idea. Great editing. Thumbs up for grandma's cologne! 😁 Ps, Shalimar, Alien, Bottega Veneta, Mitsouko, Stash and Memoir Woman among my favs marketed to the better gender. Hang on...did I say that out loud? 🤫 Skyduszzzz. 🐼

    Out of your list, I love New York Intense both on myself as well as on my husband, Iga! It is as you say, a masterpiece. I also own a few more that are classed officially unisex, but most women would not wear like Lonestar Memories by Andy Tauer, Paradiso by Pigmentarium, Tabac Vert by Rogue or Little Song by Meo Fusciuni. That not to say that I don't like florals - I have plenty of those, too.

    F my memory is correct, Patricia Nicolaï created the intense version for woman. Woman reached out for the regular NY, but woman mostly wear more intense perfumes. That resulted in NY intense. I remember from a Nicolaï event from years ago. I will check for you!

    Hmmm, I think I have got Royal Vintage by Micaleff somewhere ... and I remember that I liked the CDG 2 one, but just the silver variety (is that the unisex version?!?). And yes, yes, yes to New York Intense!!! I wore this for days on the rainy autumn days. Your colleague's grandma has great taste!
    Female fragrances I wear:
    Chanel 31 Rue Cambon, and basically all the Les Exclusifs; I even wear Chanel No.5 (hey, I've got a minature that wants to be used)
    Hermès Twilly Eau Poivré (just a cheeky little pink floral fragrance) ... and all the Hermèssence fragrances.
    Hmmm, I guess that majority of my collection is unisex anyway and I don't really care about the name/gender on the bottle, so the list is long 😂.

    • @pixieandthenotes
      @pixieandthenotes  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You think you have it...🤣 oh Andreas
      New York i super special.
      I am really happy to see you rock some fine fragrances from the feminine nook of the woods :D But do you also have that belief that some scents smell feminine and some smell feminine (regardless of the label?)

    • @AndreasVibes
      @AndreasVibes ปีที่แล้ว

      @@pixieandthenotes oh yes, there are completely arbitrary conventions that the fragrance industry embraced … but that we accept. The lavender fougère vibe is masculine, however, there is nothing inherently masculine about lavender. It’s just our cultural memory and the conventions that make us perceive certain notes as feminine or masculine.
      As for the Micaleff: I got an anniversary box with 20 10ml travel sprays a couple of years ago, so I assume that I’ve got it 😂.

      @pixieandthenotes  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AndreasVibes Yes, I totally agree. Fougere for me screams "an older man" because that's wjat my gradpas used to smell like. It's all cultural. The perception of smells, not smells themselves.
