I just live for your descriptions and this series as a whole. The differences of opinions are definitely needed in the fragrance community. I welcome all opposition 😊 if not only to give balance. Thank you.
Love the video. The way you described Peaches Revenge and the Cirque du Soleil perfume makes me want to buy them 😄. Thank you for giving your honest opinion.
I LUV this series Anne. Like, luvluv. Is that a word? It is now. 🤣 And in truth, I find that a lot of your opinions coincide with mine. So yeah, luvluv.
I bought Sarah bakers peaches revenge as a blind buy because I saw it come back in stock and didn’t want to miss out, and I am glad to say it’s a hit. I am loving it, I also got a sample of gossip night which I am resting right now, I am in a peach era I guess. lol!! I also got the cirque du soleil perfume and I like it but not a love yet which I am surprised by but gonna let it sit and revisit it!! Love this series btw!!!❤❤
I got to try TK Creme Brulee at Scent Bar in LA and the only reason I didn’t buy it on the spot was because I worried about taking it on my flight back home, and also I wanted to get it for a discount online. I ended up getting a decant from Scent Split to try it out and it is probably my favorite gourmand right now. It is beautiful vanilla frosting with a hint of coconut. It’s like a richer version of Laura Mercier Eau Gourmand Vanille, which has been my #1 vanilla-coconut for forever. Not to mention, it literally had a guy friend of mine on his knees. He said he could smell it as soon as he walked in my house and could not stop sniffing me. For me, it’s not synthetic at all. Maybe the decant I have has had time to macerate and that sometimes makes a huge difference. After I finish my decant I’m going for the full bottle!
You are always a fav. I had a feeling about that Ulyka fragrance. I have a sample coming but super glad I didn’t blind buy based on just the notes and hype.
I really wanted to love Peaches Revenge! I bought it and wore the sample for several days and just did not like it at all, unfortunately. I sent the unopened bottle back. I was so disappointed because I really wanted to like it.
Thank you so so much Anne for this series, you save me so much money! I also appreciate your honest opinions on ones that are way too overhyped! Keep the great work!💖💖
I am obsessed with Tilia. OBSESSED. Sorry for screaming but it's so good and it currently my most complimented fragrance. A love at first sniff for me. This dna is right up my alley.
Hi Anne. Amazing vid! Ive been on a tobacco decant tryout spree. Vanille Havane wow!! If you love dark vanilla with a touch of rum, chocolate, dried fruit, and tobacco, VH rocks! 40% concentration really helps too. Ive been throwing on Herod. The vanilla plus tobacco is so well blended. I got the discontinued Aramis Tobacco Reserve. Amazing. The tobacco is really muted I am amused at a moss note that is smooth. It is really hard to explain but it is very unique. I also got Issara by Dusita. Woh! Very nice but doesnt project much.
I agree about Vanilla Skin EDP. While I love the body spray, this one does lean slightly more woody. I prefer the body spray because that one has something special and sexy in it that I didn't get in the EDP (kind of sexy like Initio's Absolute Aphrodisiac). I heard OliviaOlfactory compare it to AA and she is so right, so I'll stick with the body spray and just overspray it when I want it as my SOTD.
I enjoy hearing your opinions. Now let's talk Tilia omg, had to scrub it, couldn't stand it. Althou i aplreciate the work, it's just not for me despite loving Valaya and Fleur Narctique. Totally agree on Love Delight, heliotrope 💣 Please continue with these series ❤
Glad you reviewed Quattro Pizzi, was looking forward to sampling it but definitely going to watch out for a dry barrel hay note....that sounds just, weird. And definitely going to pull the trigger on Peach Revenge; didn't understand the hype but I'm a fan of guava (the rosy, floral aspect of the fruit) and would love to see it combined with the Peach.
This makes it an awesome start for the week. The only opinion I trust ! You still have not featured Althair from Parfumes de Marly. Could we have your opinion on it? Have a great week Anne!!
I'm honored!! ❤️ I featured it in this video :) th-cam.com/video/83YJyPOhfpU/w-d-xo.html So I put it on my wishlist and I was wearing my decant continuously until I could get the full bottle, but at a certain point the orange blossom started to get to me. I seem to be on a bit of a roller coaster with this one. My first impression was it's alright, then it turned into something I craved and was obsessed with, and now it's a "like" 😅 Still a great release from the brand I think, and I will continue to revisit it!
I love when you do these and I had so many similar feelings here. Sirene is so amazing to me, Vanilla Skin, GreenStravaganza and Peaches R as well. I had similar let downs too.
100% understand your comment about loving a smell but not wanting to smell that way. That's Mallow and Celeste for me... I want to love that candy violet profile on me, but I just dont 😢
I was on the fence about Celeste when I had it as a sample, but now I am blowing my way through the big bottles and purchased two more. It is such a soft cozy cloud of sweet comfort and I get so many compliments on it!
Hello Anne! Thank you for this video, I always like hearing your thoughts on popular fragrances… Guilty Crush and Sirene both work on me, but most of the ones you mentioned, I’m also not a fan of. 🥰😊
Love ❤you unfiltered opinions. Some are on my wishlist, but now that I heard your opinion, you might have saved me money 💰🤑. I have pumped the brakes on purchasing anymore fragrances. I agree with you on the born in Roma extravaganza...bout a travel size from Sephora, wore it once and never reached for it again. Still waiting for your thoughts on Sphinx Mangolicius hibistorm.
Thank you! If anything peaks your interest, I'd pick up a sample, perhaps you'll have a different experience from me :) Mangolicious Hibistorm is great! The rose, leather, amber, and oud really give it depth. It's a strong one, very very nice, nothing animalic but has umph. I get the mango the most in the opening, there’s hibiscus, tart red berries, a quiet amount of vanilla. It makes me think if Maison Crivelli Hibiscus Mahajad (but MH is quieter on the rose) and SHL God of Fire had a baby. It's not a need for me because I can layer those two together to create a similar scent, but it’s very good, I love it!
You have a perfume taste similar to mine...for the summer time have you tried Tigre d'Eau 22.1 Pierre Guillaume Paris? It's the beautiful refreshing green delicious coconut milk with sea salted caramel 😋 it's not thick or overly sweet at all its hard unisex some may say slightly masculine leaning but I swear that sea salted caramel and coconut water is the best I've smelled in a while! And it last forever!!! For being a light airy refreshing scent it'll last on me all dang day!
I sampled Green stravaganza at Sephora too and I loved it. I found it super fresh and refreshing! It didn’t last on me either. Do you have a suggestion for something similar? I’ve been on a tea kick lately and have been wanting more scents with tea in it. 😊
Totally agree, the ambrofix in Ella k orchid K was way too strong and off putting 😖 Agree on Tilia, Love Delight and tubéreuse astral too, just meh 🤷xx
I totally agree with you on ysl green stravaganza I wish it lasted longer and the opening notes just stayed throughout. I have a travel spray and will definitely enjoy it while it lasts but that was a bummer for me but the OG is a beast on my skin. I am planning on getting a sample of liis ethereal wave as I think that is probably going to satisfy the summer tea scent I am looking for hopefully - have you had a chance to try it? I always like to hear what you think because it's hard to know if something is for you once it gets hyped.
I was on the fence about Pear Gelato. I'll still try it when I get the chance, but I'm not running anywhere to get to it. I recently tried Pantheon Roma's Trastevere and that really does smell like a gelato or thick ice cream (not pear, but still very good). I think it's the chestnut cream that makes it smell like dessert to me. I do want to try Peach's Revenge and that Cirque du Soleil.
Totally! I think if anything peaks your interest it's nice to give it a sample since you may have a different experience :) Oh my gosh that sounds so good!!
Hello Anne, what a lovely review of the fragrances. I love the way you described everything and put them into words. I have actually noticed as well some perfumes i like the smell but not on my skin. I have a question does any of the gourmand ones is extremely sweet like The embrace or Soir Exclusif from Navitus? I had a issue with those perfumes, i could not wear them. I always look for your thoughts on fragrances because you have some great opinions. I usually have a hard time liking a lot of popular fragrances that everyone is raging about because most times, I am disappointed. It could be my beginner's fragrance nose. Is there a fragrance that actually smells good that has the note of lipstick in it? Every time I see that note, I don't want to smell it.
That's valid! Everyone has different tastes and it's possible that a lipstick vibe just won't be your cup of tea. I do love Mes Bisous Balle Rouge in this category
One of my favorite series on your channel. I have been seeing reviews on Phlur Vanilla Skin EDP and I just dont understand the hype and how some people are going insane over this scent. There are so many other vanillas that are so much better than this. I’m saving my $ and getting something better.

Too many vanillas aren’t really vanilla. Just tried Creme Brûlée today and it’s a big no for me. But I am excited that I tried Vanilla Powder for the second time and I’m loooving it. I think we can stop with the “vanilla gourmands” for a bit. If you can’t get sweet, rich, deep vanilla. Just stop at this point. Everything great has been done and the rest just smell like synthetic cheap dolls.
Agreed Creme Brulee smells super cheap. There are definitely very very similar perfumes from cheaper Indie brands. Not worth $150/50ml at all. Can get BETTER for cheaper 💯 😊

None of the theodoros kalotinis does it for me. It smells very cheap to me. And i'm not even a perfume snob. I own 10€ fragrances
Yeah I've tried a handful of their fragrances but I'm not a fan of how they're executed :/
Agreed Creme Brulee smells super cheap. There are definitely very very similar perfumes from cheaper Indie brands. Not worth $150/50ml at all. Can get BETTER for cheaper 💯 😊
I'm glad I'm not the only one 😩
Ahhhh, that’s a shame about the Valentino.
Ulyka Nota Sugar is so synthetic and horrible! Such a fail for me
One of the worst fragrances I smelled this year! Soooo synthetic!
Cherry and coconut seem to be saturating the market right now...
oh for sure
Annar
Andrew pleaseee lol 🤣
Nar!! Hope your doing well! 🙂
The new house of oud didn't impress me either. I find it boring
On me Nota sugar smells horribly synthetic and gross
