If we’re counting Zoro’s losses to Kuina shouldn’t we also count Luffy’s losses to Ace and Sabo? That would make Ace’s win-loss ratio a little better at the very least. On top of that it would also make Luffy have lost way more than the other three.
Since Luffy fought 100 times a day and lost all of those fights, assuming he and Ace continued after Sabo's death, that would be 7 years (since Ace left at 17 years old) which would actually put Luffy's losses as a child at 255,600. That's without counting losses against bandits, animals, or even Garp.

You're right about how Whitebeard saw it, but I don't think that's a point in Ace's favor. Just the opposite in fact. Whitebeard not even seeing it as a fight makes it an even bigger L for Ace each time IMO, because if the person you're attacking doesn't even see your attempted attacks as a threat, but more of a learning experience for you, then that speaks volumes to just how outclassed you are in the fight you picked. I completely agree with Liam's analysis of Gecko Moria, his DF is arguably one of the most powerful paramecia's (and I would personally argue it is an upgraded version of Big Mom's fruit), and his backstory is an exceptionally tragic one which serves as a cautionary tale for what Luffy may become if he is broken by his experiances in Sabaody and in Marineford. In my personal opinion, if Moria was presented in a similar manner to Baron Omatsuri (from Movie 6) then he would be one of the most popular villains in OP.

I feel like you missed a really important one (that doesn't change the outcome). While this character didn't lose that many times, the loss itself is probably the worse one in the whole series. Kuina may have defeated Zoro 2001 times, but she lost (not just a fight, but her life) against some random stairs. I think that brings this discussion to a whole new level. However, that also makes Zoro the guy who lost 2001 times to a girl who lost her life to some stairs.
You forgot one for Moria. His last confrontation was actually with Blackbeard when he attacked the emperor's home base. I mean, we didn't get to see what happened after Blackbeard demanded Moria's surrender but I think it's a safe bet that he either gave up and joined the Blackbeard Pirates, was killed or somehow managed to escape. Either way, it's a loss.
Hard to tell between Ace and Moria but id say Ace just based off of actual potential shown. In the clash between Moria and Kaido it seems like Moria had Haki in the clash however I think he was simply broken after that and couldn't mentally recover to reach his potential. He believed he could make others make him king but he needed to train haki and get stronger. At least Ace always fought to get stronger and died defending his father's honor
If you're counting Zoro and Ace's losses against their respective "challenge targets", then you should also count Yamato's vs. Kaido, right? You even mention it earlier in the episode. If that were the case then I can hardly imagine anyone beating Yamoto's L count
To be fair with Kaido, he was a member of the Rocks pirates, where the strongest was the captain, and Kaido was notably not the captain. He probably lost quite a few times against rocks
I love the twist at the end. . . A kid sparring with another kid taken at such a serious level :P. If this were done with any other character, wouldn't Luffy also be in the L group?
I still love Moria. He's such a little bastard and that laugh is S tier. His powers are pretty sick too honestly. He's just so incredibly disillusioned from losing his crew, then losing it again, that he's just a broken walking L. Hoping he comes back and isn't on a stick somewhere on Fullalead
You should do a collab with Steinixos and talk about Kizaru's devil fruit and how potentially powerful it is even when throughout the whole story it's been shown that he isn't even trying in any of his fights
Damn Liam. Did you really have to do our boii Smokey like that... Yea ngl disappointed he hasn't been given much of a chance to shine. Still holding out hope that in this run to the end he gets his time in the limelight. I know people say either smoker or Coby are the hero of the Navy to the Pirate King, but both are strong moderates/reformers and both are tied to Luffy's start on the grand line and essentially are both filling similar roles. Tbf Even Coby has disappointed. Expecting big things considering he is Garps apprentice but yet to see it aside from the odd whispers of something big in the story.
I know Smoker battle record is not the best, but his introduction is what makes me love the character. Through the beginning of East Blue, we have seen how corrupt the Marines is. Smoker it showed he was intimidating, but he has a soft spot. What makes Smoker even more interesting is bringing In forms of Justice. Smoker he’s cool in his own right. You also forgot to mention he has defeated many amateur pirates that entered Louguetown (The place Gol D. Roger got assassinated.)
The worst L so far in history of One Piece is lowkey watching Luffy go all out agaisnt Kaido to moments later get one shotted. The man wasn't even blocking attacks and he was drunk 😭. We watched Big Mom use haki on her arms in WCI and push back Luffy out of gear 4 meanwhile stands still and allows Luffy to get his barrage of hits in Before hitting him with Thunder Bagua. That moment really had us concerned like how the hell are they going to beat this guy.
Did Laboon becoming Luffy's rival spoil the ending of One Piece? It could be true. Think about, Laboon's goal is to destroy the Red Line, the same as Luffy if the One Piece turns out to be a method to create the All Blue. I'm going to go put on my tin-foil hat now. XD
This video proves that the most W character in One Piece is Kuina, and she was defeated by Stairs, giving Stairs an undefeated record agains One Piece best winner. Once again the High Ground has claimed its rightful spot in another universe as the strongest killer of potential ever.
7:27 Yes, Smoker reached the mythical rank of vice "adirmal," reserved only for the worst of the best. Also, I'd say Smoker vs Ace was a draw, though it's more like Ace held back. But according to yourself, that counts! So both of them should have one less L and one more draw.
Couldn't Luffy Technically be on this list as well? 🤔 Since most of his fights he looses, but then he comes back for a rematch... Like Kaidoo beat him 2-3 times, before luffy beat Kaidoo. And he probably got beaten like 10.000 times by Sabo, Ace and Garp as a Kid 🤕
The greatest loser in One Piece is YOU the reader. Because you will lose a part of yourself once Oda finishes the story, an important part of your life will disappear, no longer you will have the excitement of waiting for a new chapter and the joy they provide.
Moira and crocoboy have tendency to pick fights with really strong dudes. moira attacking BB crew pretty much solo. Crocodile in the war just throwing himself at whitebeard, admirals, doffy when he had no backup plan if someone fights with water.
I'd also argue that Ace has done one of the - if not the biggest F ups in One Piece - which was going after Blackbeard. He didn't even know what Blackbeard's DF was and Whitebeard was already targeting him anyway. Which led to his defeat, capture, and the subsequent series of events. In way you can even blame Ace for Whitebeard's death.
Who characters lost to should also factor in this. Smoker catches too much hate when he had Luffy beat on LogueTown when Dragon (who is suspected to be one of the strongest in verse) saved him. From there the only “embarrassing” one is Caesar cause getting stopped by 3 different Warlords and an armament haki expert in Vergo were totally expected.
i love gecko moria so much. you have no idea how much tumblr loves this man. they don't even change his design to look more "palatable". they love this traumatized round long-necked goth ronald mcdonald so much and they call him babygirl. he's like the spamton of one piece
Moria doesn’t know haki because Oda didn’t know what it was back then, y’all give him too much credit, he writes what he feels at that moment, then tries to fit it into the past, he is not some great story writer looking far into the future.
I think that loosing in a non life treathening situation is like loosing in some kind of sparring match, thus should not count in your official record. Then Zorro losses to Kuina, Ace losses to Whitebeard, Luffy losses to Ace and Sabo, Yamato losses to Kaido and so on should not be counted... Didn't Moria loose on pirate island to the Blackbeard crew (granted we don't really know, but it certainly seemed that way) ?
To be fair, Moriah technically never lost to Doflamingo. We saw Doffy saying he's got orders to kill Moriah and the next time we saw Doffy he admitted to the world government that Moriah disappeared into the shadows. He definitely bailed, but did in fact not lose.
Mr grand line review, I think you forgot about the duels that sabo, ace and luffy had as children. Both sabo and ace were interchanging Ls and Ws while Luffy was getting all the Ls everyday.
To cut ace some slack he lost to an admiral with the strongest offensive fruit a pirate king level captain and the underhanded blackbeard. All of his opponents were ones even his mentors would struggle with.
If Luffy gets credit for a win because Garp let him, Jack should get credit for a win he achieved with a chemical weapon. Smoker also caught Buggy at Loguetown, and I have a hard time assigning him the L when he and Law fought Vergo, considering Vergo was 100% the loser of that encounter.

Gecko Moria has a win rate of 0%
Ace has a win rate of 0.89%
And Zoro has a win rate of 0.99%
That twist 😂
Should have made a "A new challenger approaching" joke
I feel like you missed a really important one (that doesn't change the outcome). While this character didn't lose that many times, the loss itself is probably the worse one in the whole series. Kuina may have defeated Zoro 2001 times, but she lost (not just a fight, but her life) against some random stairs. I think that brings this discussion to a whole new level. However, that also makes Zoro the guy who lost 2001 times to a girl who lost her life to some stairs.
That plot twist at the end was dirty and I love you for it 😂
Damn, you really upped the quality of edits and narrating. Half way through this is very enjoyable.
Either way, it's a loss.
i love the new upload times. hits at 7AM for me to listen to on my drive to work.
Our Grandline Captain gets extra credit on the script for this one. 💯
Not to mention that Yamato's excuse for not joining the crew was another massive letdown
@@eltoussaint what the letdown in her excuse??she was totally right.
We should all get plots in a line and make an actual grand line 😂
The biggest L goes to the match of Kuina V inanimate stairs she's had to have walked on her entire life
Unexpected mention of Kaido slapping (spanking?) the Monkee was the laugh I needed on a dreary Thursday morning.
What about Moria vs. Blackbead, when Moria came to look for Absolom?
To be fair with Kaido, he was a member of the Rocks pirates, where the strongest was the captain, and Kaido was notably not the captain. He probably lost quite a few times against rocks
I love the twist at the end. . .
A kid sparring with another kid taken at such a serious level :P.
If this were done with any other character, wouldn't Luffy also be in the L group?
Man really brought zoro into the video with 20 seconds left 💀
I still love Moria. He's such a little bastard and that laugh is S tier. His powers are pretty sick too honestly. He's just so incredibly disillusioned from losing his crew, then losing it again, that he's just a broken walking L. Hoping he comes back and isn't on a stick somewhere on Fullalead
"He smacked the monkey 3 times" was gold.. I think i want to play some Pirate warriors 4 now🙈
Keep the greatness coming 😢
I love how u said " Its Gecko Moria". Like some Pokémon
Hats off to sheer amount of ANALaysis done by you to give us the One and only true kings of L.
Man your writing and editing is just too good 😂😂😂
On behalf of Moria, he has 1 W vs brook, how else did he get his shadow?
That plot twist at the end got me!
The whole time I was like “what about Zoro!!!”
Big twist. Love it. Can’t argue with the stats. Maybe all those L’s are what effected his sense of direction
Not you forgetting Moria losing to Blackbeard. One of his most fascinating Ls, since he actually managed to be under the sun
4:53 dang... you didn't have to do him that dirty with the intro
Shouldn't ace vs smoker count as a tie? If I Remember correctly they both agreed to stop fighting
Once again the High Ground has claimed its rightful spot in another universe as the strongest killer of potential ever.
we have dog-flamingo lets have kai-dog too[day 52]

7:27 Yes, Smoker reached the mythical rank of vice "adirmal," reserved only for the worst of the best.
Also, I'd say Smoker vs Ace was a draw, though it's more like Ace held back. But according to yourself, that counts! So both of them should have one less L and one more draw.
Couldn't Luffy Technically be on this list as well? 🤔
Since most of his fights he looses, but then he comes back for a rematch... Like Kaidoo beat him 2-3 times, before luffy beat Kaidoo. And he probably got beaten like 10.000 times by Sabo, Ace and Garp as a Kid 🤕
Oda's biggest mistake - letting Haki out of whatever fever dream that conjured it
Knock Knock
Whos there
Shanks
Shanks who
Shanks ya in the stomach
The greatest loser in One Piece is YOU the reader.
Because you will lose a part of yourself once Oda finishes the story, an important part of your life will disappear, no longer you will have the excitement of waiting for a new chapter and the joy they provide.
bidet? wipe?
Moira and crocoboy have tendency to pick fights with really strong dudes. moira attacking BB crew pretty much solo. Crocodile in the war just throwing himself at whitebeard, admirals, doffy when he had no backup plan if someone fights with water.
Shoutouts to your editor and whoever creates the cutouts of these characters you use for telling stories about the punch fighting
i was sipping my coffee when "never bet on Jack" came. i almost burn my lips.😂
Lmao I love this video. I'm so glad you aren't afraid to take the Ace joke this far
I was caught off guard with that bidet joke 😂
Good job
The way you just sneakily tried to add that end and finish the video is hilarious 😂😅
I don’t usually like a lot of videos period but this one had me laughing all the way thru. Liked already subscribed
I can only assume this video is about oda showing gaimon so early. We all know he's got a large role to play.
Not a fan of Jack, but he used the gas to incapacitate the minks, underhanded but I think it’s a win for him
i love gecko moria so much. you have no idea how much tumblr loves this man. they don't even change his design to look more "palatable". they love this traumatized round long-necked goth ronald mcdonald so much and they call him babygirl. he's like the spamton of one piece
The Nami mapping joke is top shelf. Thank you
Me cleaning the dishes and laughing about your last joke.
You’ve finally earned yourself your subscription with that one 🎉😃
That poll result/interpretation got me.
Lmao. Ace turned into a donut. I can't... 😂
Zoro: "I'll be the king of Hell"
GrandlineReview: "yes, the king of L"
Honorable mention goes to every bounty hunter in the story
Lol I got an ad during your Established Title's ad
I just now realized that Jack's epithet is ironic. He's a fishman but he's called "Jack the Drought".
To be fair, Moriah technically never lost to Doflamingo. We saw Doffy saying he's got orders to kill Moriah and the next time we saw Doffy he admitted to the world government that Moriah disappeared into the shadows. He definitely bailed, but did in fact not lose.
Imagine losing to someone that got killed by stairs. Zoro is indeed the king of Ls
Luffy's first loss was in chapter 1 when Shanks tricked him into drinking a glass of milk, then laughed that a real pirate would never drink milk
That quip of jack was bars😂😂😂
Mr grand line review, I think you forgot about the duels that sabo, ace and luffy had as children. Both sabo and ace were interchanging Ls and Ws while Luffy was getting all the Ls everyday.
To cut ace some slack he lost to an admiral with the strongest offensive fruit a pirate king level captain and the underhanded blackbeard. All of his opponents were ones even his mentors would struggle with.
If Luffy gets credit for a win because Garp let him, Jack should get credit for a win he achieved with a chemical weapon. Smoker also caught Buggy at Loguetown, and I have a hard time assigning him the L when he and Law fought Vergo, considering Vergo was 100% the loser of that encounter.
i was like "why am i not seeing Zoro's child form on this... oh there he is, godo save liam!" lol loved this video!
The only reason Smoker ate his fruit was to combat lung cancer from the infinite amount of cigars he smokes
