The easiest explanation for Big Moms survival would be that she just turned the Magma into a Homee because than it would not hurt her anymore.
Or she just tanked it with haki
A slightly more narratively *juicy* explanation would be that she and kaido "met" while falling down their respective holes, Big Mom noticed that Kaido was strangely not super-pissed about that, and decided she should make better use of his soul than he could.
This makes it so Luffy is not the one to "kill" Kaido, let's big Mom escape, and let's us close out Kaido's story properly.

Kaidou's crew was taken to impel down by Green Bull. And I think there is a chance of Kaidou changing after losing to Luffy and accepting his defeat. Nearly his entire character arc was about his obsession with Joy Boy, believing himself to be Joy Boy, even wanting to be the one to save the world. Accepting Luffy as Joy Boy will make Kaidou see him completely differently and possibly even respect him enough to accept his defeat, become an ally, or without his crew simply retire. I could see him putting himself into a self-imposed exile on an island somewhere and drinking and crying forever.
I could also see him Joining the Final war appearing and Helping Luffy avoid an Attack by reflecting or Tanking it just as its about to hit him, and the proceeds to fight along side him. (If he is still Alive that is because we still dont know if he got killed by Eruption or was just Flung away to an far away island)
Hell it's not really even that is it, it's more like the 1 on 1 was always not in reference to strength but because some one is always cheating for him without his consent, and trully wanted the pure 1v1 win or lose.

You mentioned that only Nami would have Big Mom's Vivre Card, but if you think back to when the Big Mom Pirates are approaching the waterfall the second time, Perospero has one of her Vivre Cards and shows it to the crew to prove that Big Mom is still alive, and so undoubtedly at the very least some of her children were given the vivre card after Whole Cake Island Arc and while Perospero is MIA, there's a possibility that Smoothie, or Katakuri were also given one

Idk if they’re dead or not but I agree that if they are alive they’re still a huge threat to the entire world. Honestly nothing is stopping them from getting stronger and coming back. I do think it would be real cool if the two yonko just showed up during the final war causing a HUGE sense of chaos and panic
that would be absolutely insane if they came in at an extreme climax point, knowing oda and the most recent chapters, something like this is very posisble

Given how tight and hurried things are being in the final arc, you could simply say that they survived, but are in too bad shape to make an impact before the story is over. You could follow their recovery in a cover story, maybe, and then have them make a comeback in the epilogue - but by that time it's no longer our problem.
I dont think its hurried.. at least not to its detriment. I mean, dont get me wrong, it's a break neck pace.. but I've been loving EVERY week.
If BM and Kaido went out like that I guess it wouldn't be that bad of a way to go but I think that would be embarrassing still considering who they are

I know you said Kaido would just give up if beaten, but remember the reason he waited on Wano so long was because he was waiting for "Joyboy" to defeat him. Now that Lufft has defeated him, Kaido might actually just retire into the sunset. I also agree with the Big Mom becoming O'lin for the rest of her life!
I hope we get a cover story of Big Mom and Kaido in the magma. They are immune to the magma because of there strength but can’t leave because of seastone or something so they just end up like Luffy and Kidd did in Udon, arguing.

Immune to Lava my ass. Oden wasn’t immune to boiling oil. If they spent weeks in lava, its logical they’re dead. Except that eruption pushed them out and they got saved. It’d be illogical to have them resistant to something as hot as lava

I'd love to see Katakuri asking the Strawhats for help to save Pudding. Both have their positive relations (respect/love) towards the Strawhats after all.
Looking at the whole Impel Down story and Hachi respectively, it wouldn't be the first time enemies become friends due to circumstances either.

I have a feeling that Big Mom will be back, even if it's at the very end.
Kuzan has to be a part of SWORD and their goal is to get to the One Piece. SWORD members infiltrate the Emperor crews to acquire their Poneglyphs and get them to the end of the road. However, kidnapping Pudding is a two birds and one stone for Kuzan; loyalty to Blackbeard and he can just flee when he needs to and take Pudding with him to decipher to Poneglyphs. This explains why Sakazuki is in the chapter saying "being Fleet Admiral is so frustrating" (alongside not being able to magma punch the pirates)

Yeah.. but why else do you think BB wants her? The ONE thing hes missing to start moving towards the one piece is being able to read the poneglyphs. Shes been set up multiple times to possibly have this ability.. and he went out of his way to get her.

With Sakazuki’s bloodlust in recent chapters I can see the fight between him and Kuzan was actually to decide who would NOT be fleet admiral at this point.
Would be a fun twist, that because he lost, Sakazuki got to publicly win instead.
Big Mom being drawn like Endive is too perfect
The volcano near Wano also did Erupt when Kaido and Big Mom were knocked down into that magma pool so I wouldn't put it past Oda to use this to keep the both off them alive
I thought plunging Big Mom and Kaido into magma forever WAS their write-off. They're basically indestructible but they can still be damaged, so this is a way to hold them in place, out of the rest of the world, but without directly killing them. The story moves on, Luffy's hands are still relatively clean, and everybody wins.
Except Kaido and Big Mom, they very definitely lost.
I really hope Big Mom joins us in Elbaf, but instead of being a major antagonist that we actually fight, we see a mix of the Straw Hats being very careful not to piss her off and trying to keep her docile. And ultimately succeeding in making the dominant part of her personality Linlin instead of Big Mom, completing her arc.
I think Big Mom is still alive because Luffy said in Punk Hazard that he’ll defeat all Yonko 4 emperors, so even though she was defeated by kid and law, I think she would still come back to the story for Luffy to defeat her himself
Knowing Oda, Mama and Kaido are with Ace, Whitebeard and Roger about to make their grand enterance at the final arc. Oda just can't kill off any characters 😅

Big Mom and Gecko Moria have very similar fruit power, taking something from a host and bringing inanimate object to life, so I take what Moria told Luffy once, "even if you beat me or kill me the zombies will simply lose their master, the shadows stay where they are" so I belive that even if Big Mom is dead, solong that there body gets destroyed or there soul runs out of juice, they will still be alive

@@peter2140 They were released out of Moria himself, where they were already just stuffed in beyond capacity, having already been taken back out of the zombies by Moria's summons. Stuffing shadows inside a living person had already been established as being a temporary thing based on how long they could endure it with Nightmare Luffy.

Big mom is so unbelievably tough because she subconsciously is always using armament haki, and the distress of breaking mother caramels photo caused her to lose her ability to keep it up for a second

Was it ever stated that BM is always using Armament Haki? She was incredibly tough as a 6-year-old child. Plus, we've seen her use Armament Haki before, and like everyone else, we see her skin turn black when she uses it. I think she's just incredibly tough by nature, with or without haki. I guess her durability is somehow linked to her state of mind.

Well the people that invaded her territory are in the same place as the person who buried her in magma and the captive Pudding.
Something else to think about is Luffy doesn’t kill because (according to Oda) he doesn’t want to take away people’s Dreams. BUT in the fight with Kido, Luffy said he was going to end Kido’s dream as all it brought was suffering to Wano.
I viewed that as Oda saying “Luffy is going to end Kido”

Big Mom and Kaido were 100% blasted to the moon in that volcano eruption. They are chilling up there waiting for the automata army to be ready to roll, and they're going to pull up to the final war with Enel and fuck shit up.
I’ve said this before about BM’s fruit but it has to be different because it’s her actual soul, right? If the Soul wasn’t separate, then Brook’s Fruit would make no sense. So her being dead with her soul still hanging around in the form of her homies wouldn’t be too far fetched, which explains why they don’t disappear when she passes out. Either way, I think BM is most likely alive though lol, it is Oda after all 😂
They probably don't disappear when she passed out due to her strong haki. Maybe it's the same way like how Mihawk and Ryuma imbued permanent armament haki into their swords, making Shisui and Yoru into dark blades, which would no longer make it necessary to imbue it from their hands.
I’d say Zeus would be able to tell if she was still alive, like how big mom could tell that Zeus was still alive when he was captured by the straw hats.
My theory is that Zeus is now a separate entity. When BM gave him up to be eaten by Hera she released her power over him, and then his will to live converted whatever strength he had into a new soul allowing him to live on in Nami's climatact.
If big mom was alive, Oda could find a way to reveal or confirm the missing parts of her backstory.
I would like know big mom reason why she wanted Loki giant army. Is there something special about them. Big mom stated if she would had that army she would had been pirate queen.

Oda is either a master at planning ahead or gets extreme bursts of situational luck (kinda like blackbeard).
Having Kuzan kidnap pudding does so many things.
1. It establishes blackbeard as much more of an in- your- face antagonist.
2. Sanji now has a personal reason to go after blackbeard and it could possibly knock the womanizing out of him when he sees pudding in mortal danger.
3. Luffy also has even more of a reason to go after blackbeard, since pudding helped Luffy and crew escape whole cake island, Luffy could easily consider her a friend.
4. Katakuri has a reason to join forces with Luffy that isn't cheesy or "just because". We all clearly want Katakuri and Luffy to become the Roger and whitebeard, but now we have an excuse for this team up. Katakuri will know that Luffy is honorable and strong, plus the fact that Luffy would consider pudding a friend, and that Luffy delivered on his word to beat big mom. Katakuri has a legitimate reason to seek Luffy out and ask him for help to get pudding back. Already setting up some of the players who will be in the final war.

One of the Giants has a Homie Shield presumably leftover from Mother Carmel. So even if Big Mom is dead Zeus should be just fine

Kaido's alluded character arc was literally that he got drunk with power, thought he was joyboy. Through years of trials and tribulations never really felt like he truly was joyboy because he didn't life up to it. Then he started hoping that one day a true joyboy would knock him off his throne. I wouldn't be surprised if kaido would just retire sit back and relax after getting beat by luffy

Not necessarily. If I remember correctly, Kaido wanted to find out who the next joyboy would be. He might sit back to see how Luffy's journey will end and chill off Wano but we'll see

I'm sorry if anyone thinks they were alive after the fight really needs a story line check, it's said kaido couldn't be contained after being caught, big mom basically is the same concept. If they didn't die it would have left the door open for tons of possibilities which needed to be closed

Another good point to all this is that Kaido was set up as someone who does not give up. Remember, during his intro of trying to fall off of a sky island, he mentions being defeated and captured several times as well as attempts to kill him, both from others actions and himself, and all of them have failed. He more or less welcomes death too.

-in some kinda of epilogue we cut to see that kaido and big mom are retired on some island
-they will comeback and will be dealed with poorly
I only noticed it recently but one of the warlord “Edward weevil" is still missing from the whole plot, did oda forgot about him or is he planing something to surprise us all again.

Am I the only one who simply linked Kaido and BM's invulnerability to their ability to cover their own body with Conqueror Haki and therefore it's a feature linked to their ability to performe this advanced feat ? It will easily explain why Big Mum can be normally damaged when her will fail... We have also the "link" (maybe foreshadowing) that when the photo was destroyed BM became vulnerable and as soon as she partially recover she started to spread out Conqueror Haki (basic usage)... Something we see her doing only in that instance (if I am not wrong). Similarly kaido was never shown using basic usage of Conqueror Haki... Maybe the two feats can't simply be performed at the same time and therefore they can't emit burst of CH because they are already using it to cover their body 24/7
This theory doesn't make sense though when you consider that Linlin already had her nigh-invulnerability as a five-year-old kid, when a building-sized sword wielded by a Giant broke edge-first against her bare forearm without injuring her in the slightest. There's no way that Linlin already had Conqueoror's Imbuement at that age, haha.
@@jackgoodman6484 I know of young Lilin. Is it so incredible to think Lilin was a natural gifted in this and could performe this feat without training at young age ? In theory also using normal Armor Haki would provide the same benefit aganist people without Haki... So is it so weird to think that Lilin was simply a genius born Haki user (at least in the infusion) ? We saw other untrained children able to performe huge feat of Haki that eclipse many trained users (like the girld on Skypea with a so tuned Observation Haki to feel stuff across the whole Sky Islands)

He accepted that he is not the chosen one to bring light but still wanted to rule the world. When we first met him he wanted to die by himself so he was completely disillusioned and bitter. When WB attacked marineford, kaido wanted to wreak havoc again and even once more with his alliance with Big Mom revealing that he wants to burn the whole world thus changing it as it was.
Than luffy came and while they fought he stated he lived once more, enjoying the all out fight with luffy over all. So in my interpretation he may be alive, awaiting what is coming when the real joyboy finally changes the world, screvving Linlin on a beach while drinking sake until blackout. 😂
Oda is setting up the next great war .. and I bet that war will leave all the anime war .. and became a top notch and remember as an ideal ❤️❤️

The thing about Blackbeard kidnapping pudding makes me sad because I honestly thought Blackbeard could decipher poneglyphs On his own since hes such a historian And seems like he could fill the Robin role on his own crew
My personal theory is that he was gonna take gecko moria’s fruit, give it to another one of his captains, and use it to revive someone who could read the poneglyphs
Just because he took pudding doesn’t mean he can’t read them. It could mean he doesn’t want anyone else to read them for anyone.
They are too powerfull and too ambitious to be left alive in the story, and both already had too much "screen time" too.

I think it would be interesting if after the death of the user of the Soul-Soul fruit, their soul gets split between the homies they made, giving all the homies in Totto Land a small buff, a kind of last blessing and protection from their mama, while also giving a more major buff to Zeus as the only surviving homie made with just her soul(as far as we know).
Funnily enough, with Big Mom and Perospero gone, Totto Land under the rule of Katakuri might actually become the wonderful place in was supposed to be.
When baby Big Mom ate Mother Caramel, the homie Pandora ceased to be (as far as we know) so I think the "Zeus lives" theory is a pretty good way to determine that Big Mom lived through the volcanic eruption.
