I brought a 2005 KX125 ($2300)...stripped it to the frame the next day... Over 6mths months dropped another $2000 in to it..Rod kit, mains, piston, seat cover,leavers...etc. Now it have a race ready bike for when I want to ride and no monthy payments. And theres no better feeling than passing people on 2015 model bikes!!!
im so glad theyre still doing bike builds. it seems like they havent done one in quite a while. they make the sickest builds and his kid is going to have one hell of a time riding that aha hes so lucky
I have been begging for a motocross many years. My parents were saying too young, too expensive, dangerous. Now, when I told my dad there is a rm125 2008 with fmf shorty for sale, he imidietly wants to go look at it with me xD
I didnt get the Suzuki. We went to look at it, and when we arrived the owner said he sold it, what a douche. He could at least call us :P. But I got myself a 2005 125sx :D. Very happy with it. Previous owner was working in a motorcycle service and took great care of it. Was running 15 minutes after piston change when we bought it.
Yeah. I know much about bikes, but didnt drive one before I got this 125. Checked everything and its mint. Was riding it and its awesome. Suprisingly I dint crash xD :D.
1:30 you mention this being good before moving to a 250 4strokes. I'm in the market to buy my first mx bike and I'm torn between the two. I used to ride a Beta 50 RR just to have fun because my brother used it, also tried my friend's 125 2strokes Husky. I actually don't prefer one over the other but for the prices here in Italy I can find a 125 2S at the same price of the 250 2S in some cases(example, 2004 Yamaha YZ 250 in good shape) but there's also some good 250 4S. I'd love to have the most simple bike as possible so what would be better for a starter? On the maintenaince side the 2S is easier and less cc is still more powerful compared to 4S versions but I don't know the difference while riding them since I tried 2S only so far. I know in the MXGP they use 4S only but that doesn't really matter for me...I don't know why but I'm liking Yamaha and Kawasakis's 2S quite a lot just by feeling, I just don't know what's the pros and confs of 2S and 4S when it comes to dirt riding. P.s. I'm not a bike noob anyway, as I said I had some fun with a 50cc and a 125cc last summer but I've been riding 600/1000cc street bikes for four years now.
When I turned 30 and no longer had to race teenagers the vet class racers seemed really slow. So I bought me a RM 125 and never had any trouble beating them on their big bikes.
im a 5'7 14year old experienced rider that found a 1998 rm 125 and wondering on to get or not cause im worried about the tallness of the bike do u think it will be to small cause i think i will so im also looken at a 150 and might get that but i want the 125 so do u think it will be tall enough for me
Depends on what year, I have a 2000 RM 125 and I'm 5'7/14 years old and I don't exactly have both feet directly on the ground. But I think they would be smaller as they get newer just look at the bikes bro
learning to carry speed through corners to make the obstacle out of the turn not just relying on hitting the gas like you can on those four strokes ...... should be mandatory four up and coming racers
I'm 5.8, 5.9 maybe almost 5.10 at 145lbs and I'm 14yrs old...I've been riding for awhile and I'm really good with a 4 stroke but I really wanna buy a 2 stroke. I've ridden a 2 stroke and liked it but will a 2001 rm125 be a good bike to have? I'm worried it's too big but I heard it's fine when your riding
Im doing one that's similar. Bought it used for $500. Although mines a 2001 rebuilt motor and chassis for around 1800. Thats including the price of the bike.
I find them all the time, ive never paid over $1000 so any of my bikes. Ive had just about every 450, every 125, 2 crf250rs, ect. You just gotta know where too look.
drop the 2t vs 4t stuff. the matter is that we all get to ride. don't care what you have to say about my 4 stroke. I don't say anything about your 2 stroke. you stay quiet. and the war is over. lol. awesome bike tho. if I could have a 125 and 250f I would.
I had one myself - and loved it. Handles so good - likes too really hook up it's parameter. Funny they don't stay with the subject - unless a 250 or 450? Lame analysis then. wrapped unsecure - government
Haha you got that thing for 600$ then but another couple grand into it??. I paid 2 grand for my 2004 RM 250 2 stroke. So where ever you got that bike for dirt cheap let me know i want one
Yea no shit man..all these videos and magazine act like u can get a used bike for nothing..where I live that's a 1500 bike and it would be ragged out to.
When my sag was set, I seriously could do anything I, ever thought of doing on motocross bike. Hence waysider's suck! Damn murderer's.. You bounced my keyboards again? Yes, any id, is always part of another in electric fields - opposite sex. Interface.
Whats with his logic on getting his kid to ride a 125 2 stroke before getting him on a 250f... If anything a 250f is more comfortable and less demanding than a 125. I ride both.
They are so fucking stubid that they think 4 strokes are faster than 2 strokes. Nope. With 4 strokes its just easier to go fast. 4 strokes are faster in some places, and 2 strokes in some places.

The early 2000s RM and the YZ are the most beautiful bikes IMO
u got that right!! I have a 2001 and a 2002 yz125 and its so sexy and fast!!!!! :)
+abracing199 Hell yea. I have a 2003 rm 125, and it rips. My dad also has a 2002 yz 250 and they are the best bikes we have ever owned haha.
I wouldn't trade my RM125 for a 250f even with 10k cash thrown in with it. So much fun, so much character. Honestly nothing could replace it.
Lol I have 2 125s and I say fuck that.. Lol I would take the 250f and the $10k and sell the 250f for $5k and buy 6 more 125s.. Pwuhahahaha
same!!!!
Call_M3_Mr_T same here haha
You Americans are so lucky with your amazing tracks
It's not luck. We build them. You Europeans could do the same, but you don't.
MetricHotrodsdotcom exactly
They can't because they have oppressive gov's
Justin Moran You mean like we do?
Afrothunderkat your right, ours is well on the way to communism. Ride while you are still allowed to lol
its so satisfying watching the forks bounce when he rails the corners
im so glad theyre still doing bike builds. it seems like they havent done one in quite a while. they make the sickest builds and his kid is going to have one hell of a time riding that aha hes so lucky
thumbs up if you ride a rm 125
Ah man, i ride rm 85 :D
Rm 250 now :)
Nice!
Look at that, all suzukis 2 strokes. :D
Tanner 156 I drive one! :) 2005 one with a Doma exhaust
Those decals look sooo good!
Great idea for a vid! Would be interested in more rebuild vids but with some cost specs involved , would be a popular series for sure
*buys a 125 for 50$, puts 10,000$ into it*
WRONG. 125s are just as fast as 250F's
I think you meant 250F's are EASIER to go fast on.
lol ikr any one can ride a 4 stroke
So true.
vertti syrjälä yew when i had a 4 stroke this litle 8 year old i knew could ride it but he cant ride my 2 stroke
People are ridiculous why does every one think that 2 strokes blow up after one ride.
I have been begging for a motocross many years. My parents were saying too young, too expensive, dangerous. Now, when I told my dad there is a rm125 2008 with fmf shorty for sale, he imidietly wants to go look at it with me xD

Ah e comunque se non pesi piu di 75-80 kg e non sei esperto il 250 2tempi non fa per te,125 sarebbe meglio.

$2,000 - $8,000 or more? Thanks
Im doing one that's similar. Bought it used for $500. Although mines a 2001 rebuilt motor and chassis for around 1800. Thats including the price of the bike.

They probably never rode it after the video lol
How did you find this for $600? That is a great deal!
+Nick Joslin Maybe it had a blown engine.
I see.
I don´t know if it was broken but for the price it´s possible. They don´t specify how the bike was when they bought it.
I just picked one up today for $650, runs great and has a fresh top end
I find them all the time, ive never paid over $1000 so any of my bikes. Ive had just about every 450, every 125, 2 crf250rs, ect. You just gotta know where too look.
I'm 5 9 and 130 lbs can I handle one of these ?
Do you even ride ?
Easily LOL
Amazing
You guys should do this with a kawasaki 125
Its the worst 2 stroke i know.
drop the 2t vs 4t stuff. the matter is that we all get to ride. don't care what you have to say about my 4 stroke. I don't say anything about your 2 stroke. you stay quiet. and the war is over. lol. awesome bike tho. if I could have a 125 and 250f I would.
they have done so much to it its basicly a new bike
I seen this exact bike last year for sale in salt lake city on ksl I was tempted to sell my truck lol
I had one myself - and loved it. Handles so good - likes too really hook up it's parameter. Funny they don't stay with the subject - unless a 250 or 450? Lame analysis then. wrapped unsecure - government
Has anybody ever popped a hardcore wheelie going through some whoops?
what is the name of the outfit hes wearing i wanna get that
Great bike! The constant background noise of a 4 stroke is horrible...
Haha you got that thing for 600$ then but another couple grand into it??. I paid 2 grand for my 2004 RM 250 2 stroke. So where ever you got that bike for dirt cheap let me know i want one

👍
I'm not riding a 259f I'm getting a 250 r
I can't stand the sound of 4 strokes,they ruined this sport. :(
There not really slower then a 250F the 250 will catch Them in the straights but the 125 will pull in the tight stuff and 2 strokes sound better 😀✊🏻
suka sekali

That pipe doe 🤤🤤
Wouldn't use hot rods. the metal the use isnt strong enough for the speeds of a race bike.
no bottom end because of the fmf pipe and silencer, get a pro circuit, dude
no lol that is the dumbest thing i have ever heard i have a rm125 and the i had the r304 no bottom switched to turbine core 2 it hauls

Rider not the ride!
the rm125 will smoke a 250f
Malachi Miller no
Хочу!
معانا احسن منه
Who goes from 2 stroke to 4 stroke. Thats like the most illegal thing you could do
People who race my man. But again, they are soft people who move up to mx2 which allows 125s and doesnt ride them yet guys on 250fs are sluggish
4 strokes are gay! No need for 250fs. Go from a 125 2t to a 250 2t. If you need more power, KTM300. 450 is only good as a dualsport grandpa bike. That why the factpry teams have to dump so much fuckon mkney into their race bikes.
Get him a 250 2 stroke not a stupid ass 250f lol
Four strokes suck
125s are NOT as fast as 250fs
I know right
They are faster
They are as fast -_-
that's the silliest shit I've read. I have personally seen 125's being ridden by very fast talented riders run rings around 250f's and 450f's, doesn't matter how fast your bike is, if you cant ride it for "how fast it is" then whats the point. i will keep my 2 strokes.
