In Visual Merchandising class for my Fashion Design degree, they taught us to hang our clothes, light to dark, solids to prints, to neutrals, short to long, & small to large, if we want our closet to look like a boutique.
What! You put together an IKEA cabinet and decluttered and rearranged your wardrobe on the day you sat a History exam! If it were me, I'd be studying like mad before the exam and then eating cake afterwards (as a reward). Well done!!!
The "IT" colors this Fall are Maroon & Concrete Gray. Burgundy, wine, or Red, can sub for maroon. Vests, full skirts, pleated, plaid wool skirts, long blazers, silky scarves, brooches, chunky chain jewelry & earrings, piled on jewelry, vintage brown mink or faux fur, leather, trench coats, natural animal prints, denim on denim, fringe, bows, Fall florals, shades of brown or olive, cardigans, are back in a big way, so don't toss those, but ripped jeans & skinny jeans are out.
In Textiles class we learned to never let wool garments touch carpet. B/C a caterpillar called a "wooley Bear," lives in carpet, even polyester carpet, eats holes in wool garments, b4 it turns into a Tiger Moth, & eats even more wool.
qotd: do you organize your clothes by color?
I do because it looks cleaner in my opinion!
I would like to
I organize them by season lol.

Amazing that U were able to focus on that, when studying for a History exam. Being a Fashion Designer, I love me a stuffed, organized closet.
The closet NEEDED THAT 🤣 bit it looks so so good now!! Love this video!

Hi
I had to laugh when you said you can't walk in your walk in closet.
Adorable that you keep a bit of plush toys (I hope you do keep it).
I could use your help I'm not good at putting things together and I hate organizing
