Single exit exhaust is such a 90's JDM look that's just simply timeless! Exhaust sounds great as well! Apexi have been in the game for a long time now. They've only grown to develop such amazing high quality products since their first available products. the added exhaust cover from Apexi Definity shows how much attention to detail the development team has.
I’d love it if they had a dual version. Would sound great with uel header. Single ain’t my thing, but it does have the right tone. Thanks for all the vids this week!
I added the performance exhaust when I ordered my 23 premium manual. After listening to a few cars on TH-cam, with headphones of course, I like the sound. Not even sure if I'll do any upgrades yet, since I'm still waiting for it to arrive. Hoping it arrives by December, but not holding my breath.
damn this looks good! the only thing that discouraged me to get a single exit exhaust was the bad covers available for the gt86 but this one looks amazing and flush!
Thanks for all the great videos! Just got this setup myself! When you installed, did it have a burning smell? I saw the bit of smoke, which mine had too. I’m new to exhaust installs (was my first one), but went for a drive when I finished and it had almost like a paper burning smell. Is this maybe just the resins/oils and stuff in the manufacture and shipping processes burning off?
if I had a set of quick jacks, my wife would be a garage widow..but on second thought, with quick jacks, things I do wouldn't take as long so I would actually get time back as things would get done faster...cannot wait to hear the exhaust under load...just revving seems too tame.
@@kevinnguyen4293 There is some drone but not enough to bother me. I previously had a Focus ST with catless dp and AWE track catback. This is tame comparatively.
Sounds great. Not sure why it needs to be louder or needs moar pipez!? The single exit stands out as long as it's functional. The dual exit or symmetrical look is sort of gaudy since you're not pushing that much exhaust flow.
@KevinVo, I keep getting conflicting answers. Some people are saying the new 2.4l loves breathing through 3in exhaust, and some are saying it doesn't need it, lol. 3in gets dumb loud so quickly, I'll probably end up going 2.5in when I finally get something permanent.
@@KevinVo the lights in between the exhausts, you had one installed before. i'm looking forward to seeing what you'll choose to showcase in sema. should have called them 4th brake light. my bad.
It needs a high performance cat up front to liven up the sound. I just can't see Kevin, (middle name) subtle symmetrical, Vo, living too long with the single exit.
Engine is reliable. Unless you’re tracking the car hardcore and or not maintaining the car properly, you won’t have issues. Don’t let the fear mongering of a couple of cases sway you away from one of the last best affordable ICE sports cars.

This whole changing everything that you had already modified just so that its "JDM" is a bit lame reasoning IMO. but most of the mods do look good, and its your car, do as you please.

Dual exhaust tips look better IMO but damn that exhaust sound good! Has a nice and deep roar
I appreciate the quality of your videos kev.
Thank you!!
Honestly this is best GR TH-camr I waiting for video come out

@@KevinVo .... but the dual exit tips are smaller 🤔
@@K03sportright, I will not get the smaller tips design. Looks no where near as good as a large tips that completely fill the bumper.
The dual exit ver. sounds amazing paired with uel headers. No drone. All grins.

Been loving the daily uploads but I get it. You’ve been doing great!
I appreciate that!
The single apexi n1 seems like it sounds better than the dual. Seems to have the least of that raspy/tinny sound that most aftermarket exhausts have.
The dual APEXi N1 sounds really good as well. A bit more quiet though.
damn this looks good! the only thing that discouraged me to get a single exit exhaust was the bad covers available for the gt86 but this one looks amazing and flush!
It's amazing quality! Couldn't recommend it enough!
I got the TRD exhaust on my FRS and now have it on my 860, just a beautiful throaty sound to it.
Sounds sooooo good!
Love the single exit looks!
Yes been waiting for sound clips of this!
Your videos are way too high quality to be this underrated
Appreciate you!!
Loving these consistent uploads :)))))
Later on I would love a full exhaust review/video for this APEXi exhaust. Especially comparing to the AWE Touring exhaust w/ dB readings if you can
Will do!
Holy shit that must be the most beautiful, cleaniest sounding exhausts I've heard on this car
Glad you think so! It's a beautiful piece!
Clean install!! And what sets @KevinVo apart is little things like adding the Apexi hole cover!
Sounds and looks good. Keep it up, but my personal preference is the dual tip exhausts
Fair enough!
bro is just cranking out the content
It definitely took it's toll on me haha
Me putting my winters on my 2007 Hyundai tiburon, yeah me and Kevin are the same 😎👍

Do you have a video/review of your QuickJacks? Finding things that work well with lowered cars is a pain.

I think as long as the empty hole is covered, single exits can look good!
Single exit gang! 👍
Very nice build so far. Tastefully done.

Nice! I went with the N1 Evo-R instead and I love it so far.
That was on my list as well!!
Any drone on the Evo R?

Love the video keep them coming 👍
Kevin, have you been able to run the Apexi Evo R single? I was wondering what your thoughts were on it compared to the N1x and N1 Evo? Thanks!
Debating selling my '21 STI for a BRZ now, car looks so fun.
You won't regret it.
Hmm.. will APEX’i give zn6 chassis owners their own exhaust hole cover?
Ok kind of unrelated, but that tomei looked beautiful under there lol.
I wish tomei made a dual exit for the STI.
You still rockin the 17s i see
They're coming off soon.
Great vide I bro ! Can’t wait for sema
You going to sell the Tomei 🤭
Not sure yet! Still have a few more setups to test.

Honestly it looks good but I prefer the dual exhaust
That's ok! Everyone has different taste and that's what makes modifying cars fun!
Hey man what hoist is that? Are you using pinch weld pucks?
What kind of videography setup do you use for your videos?
how does it compare with the AWE touring catback that you have before?
love it
Nah the Tomei looks and sounds way better that apexi sounds so quiet
That's because the rest of the exhaust is stock. With most other exhaust when you change the rest of the exhaust it drones and is too loud.
@@KevinVo Well in that case I think you needed some UEL headers for some subie rumble
@@powergray8682 eventually haha

Enjoying the updates, but IMO nothing looks worse on a GR86 than a single-exit exhaust.
Eh, I think crazy boso pipes look worse haha
I absolutely love the new exhaust. So subtle and much more intake noise! Is it 3in pipe?
No, it's 2.5in. You don't really need a 3in exhaust on this car unless you boost it and are looking for big power.
Prefer the Tomei more for the slightly rumble feels, and mostly doesn’t like the single exit. But on general the exhaust sound still very good
I think once I install a new header and front pipe it'll sound even better.
@@KevinVo looking forward to seeing the next update!
What are you going to do with the Tomei exhaust? Gotta ask!
Haven't decided yet.
Where did you get that lift tho
Is this strictly for sound or is there a weight savings and/or HP gain?
Mostly for sound, although their is some weight savings as well. Any HP gains would be negligible.
Kevin can I get that tomei for the low Lbvs?😂
Haven't decided what I'm going to do with it quite yet haha
Always wanted to know what your plate means...troi oi....whos troi?

Honestly can't go wrong with either one!
Bro I swear the comments on all of these past vids of the GR86 have just been "Should've left the original, OEM looked so much better" lmao
Should just keep it stock 😅
Let me buy that tomei off of you 😅
Haven't decided if I'm going to sell it yet.
