I don’t even like the kind of knives you’re into. I tend to lean more towards stuff with pocket clips like Spyderco and Microtech. But I can’t lie man I love these videos🤣. Could watch you pick thru boxes all day. Keep it up brother, and thank you for your service 🫡.
Awesomeness sir!! Thank you so much for the support. I love USA MADE Spyderco’s. Not a fan of Benchmade. I like them, but don’t love them. I like the Buck Spitfire.
I think there is a very popular knife channel on TH-cam that has inspired a lot of people to collect and recondition old pocket knives and that has made good knife deals few and far between.😂😂👍🏻
That first pawn shop with the 1985 Case knives was asking astronomical prices. By the way those Rapala, J. Marttiini fillet knives with the leather sheath and ceramic sharpener sell for about $25 or less brand new. The reason I mentioned it is because I was watching one of your videos from 6 months ago where the pawn shop wanted $30 for a used 6-inch one. They are my favorite fillet knife and I do a lot of fishing and use mine quite often but I wouldn't pay over retail price for a used one. I subscribed to your channel a while back, now you have me out looking for old knives to repair. Semper Fi brother, I was in 1st battalion 2nd Marines weapons company anti-tank Assaultman aka "Dragons" 1981-1984. 😁👌
Great day riding shotgun with the knife Dr.! Thanks for letting us tag along. I think the bear would be a perfect addition … the logical name forn him as he is a smaller bear would be BooBoo and he would of course need a pic-a-nic bas-ket.
In the last shop you visited, you overlooked what appeared to be an antique, likely German made lever lock switchblade with jigged handles! It was on the far right side of the case.
@@theknifedoctor I noticed it around the 25:53 mark in the video, it was sitting next to another knife which may have been a broken switchblade due to a red rubber band wrapped around the blade and handle to keep it shut. As a knife collector myself, I’ve been enjoying your videos and would love to see you go back to check them out! Vintage switchblades can bring excellent money!

Hi, mr. Kevin! Want to tell you about this BAHCO knife which you saw. So, BAHCO is a sweden company who sell tools, but not produced them. So, as far as i know, MORAKNIV (Mora)company produced knives for BAHCO and made custom tang stamp for them. So, it`s basically Mora knives, but with other stamps. This was like in 2020`s, maybe now something changed in the politics of the BAHCO company, but i`m think they still ordered knives at MORAKNIV company.
Camillus has a cast handle . So not a new or old one of those. Be carefull of reproductions . But then there were ‘tons’ of unfinished blades that were sold off at the auction almost 20 years ago . 🤔 I have seen some very nice custom handles added to several other styles of camillus / Remington / western ‘new’ blades

Hi Doc, I think the Al-Mar in the back on bottom under your finger 10:28 is something special, or it's a knock off (brass guard looks thin)? maybe you can pull it out next time. thanks, love your videos every morning!!!!
That Bacho is in shape as new, good that you could get a better price on that. They cost around 70 - 80 swedish crowns new here in sweden, thats about 7 dollars.
Afternoon Kevin, I see in this video you picked up another clam shell Barlow. I wonder if you could show us a good way to remove and replace and tighten those clam shells?
No sir…unless it’s already loose. These are tight. Those tabs are so easy to break because they’re so old. If there tight just leave them alone. I’ll look for some that has real loose handles.
Okay, I will let them be. Last one I got I used JB Weld to fix and it was okay but not perfect. Thanks, hope to see you at your blade show in November.
Leatherman sources parts from Mexico and Europe for their tools. They're still >80% American. Only the sheaths, bits, and other accessories are made in China or Taiwan.
