Definitely laughed out loud at that one! Spot on 🤣 Love you Lydia, adding the Cosby book to my list!Edited to add, I finished the video, and it was truly one of my favorites you’ve ever made. All the good topics rolled into one ✨
I did not have female positive role models as I was growing up. That is another story. My positive role model is my daughter. She went to therapy to 'break the intergenerational cycle of trauma' in our family. With her example and encouragement, I started seeing a psychologist, and commencing the journey of healing. My decluttering of the physical is good. As a minimalist, I am always careful of what I bring into my home, and calculate the cost. And it rarely is money. I am working on decluttering my anxiety and fear of what I can do. I live in fear of failure, yet again. But the truth is that I am more anxious and afraid of 'success.' What would that look and feel like? Quite unknown and scary. I am on that path and just keep putting one foot in front of the other. And that's terrifying. And okay. Thank you for this video. Authentic, inspiring, motivating, and keeping it real.
Oh I have a special place in my heart for cycle breakers. That is brutal work that completely reshapes a family tree. I know you are so proud of her. And I am proud of you.
Yes, Reesa Tessa was a all day watch and could not stop watching. Hopefully, a book or a show may come from it. Books this month First lie wins and started Petty girls. My son is also getting braces this month his appointment is March 12th
“I look like an elementary principal going through a divorce.” That totally caught me off guard, but I knew exactly what you meant! Thank you, once again, for the laughs!
I love your personality you are funny and so down to earth. I enjoyed how the women in your life have embraced you and how you pay it forward I sensed the deep emotions as you spoke about them . Thank you we all have a tribe of women who have been the light in difficult times as well as cheerlea sets when great things happen. Thank you for being both to this community as your content and messages have reached many in more ways than you can imagine ❤
How many minutes a day do you get to read? Or are you listening to the books you read monthly? I don’t seem to have time to read very much. 3 kids over here, and one on the way! My reading goal for March, and this whole year really, is just to read my Bible every day, doesn’t matter how much. But The Word matters! I also LOVE my women’s bible study❤
I don’t really measure the minutes I read. I read mostly on my kindle app on my phone. But I read when I get up in the morning and before bed. Also during my lunch, when I’m waiting for my kids during activities. Basically any time I would pick up my phone to scroll- I read.
Rock the jumpsuit WITH those glasses. Honestly, holding the fabric up to your face with your frames on they work so well together and you would look fire!
The end of your video had me in tears. I grew up with that negative talk and while I know I made many mistakes with my daughter that was one area that was so important to me. I always tried to let her know how special she was and I did not say negative things about her to others. Thank you for sharing that.
In a previous video you used the phrase “love your people well” and that struck a serious chord with me. It made me reflect a lot. Your comments about speaking negatively about your kids/husband feels in line with that, and it’s an important reminder ❤
My middle daughter is 16 and her friends are always commenting how well her and I get along. It surprises me how many children don’t have a good relationship with their parents. I’m a single mom and I am so close with my kids. I’m proud to be their mom and they hear it from me. It’s a sad trend to badmouth your children. It’s a burden they carry for their life.
I love your new blouse, it's very flattering on you❤ The sparkly jumpsuit looks like you could have fun with it... I see you in red lipstick & big hair with it. That would be beautiful!❤😊
I ordered 2 new with tags gowns from Thred-Up. They came purposefully damaged- someone had put perfumed body cream on them. One of them fit me like a glove. It was perfect but both completely ruined due to large grease stains. There was no way it was an unintentional situation. It really turned me off of thred-up.
No excuse needed to share a point of passion. One from your previous video has stuck to me. It has made me want to be a better conversationalist and I was so blessed to meet an older woman who had that in spades right after. Just made me stop and think, "wow. I need to grow!" Encouraging
My boys are now in their 20s, but I remember when my husband insisted it was time to get rid of their big tonka trucks. I was in denial, until I realized he was right. I still miss those little boys.
Lydia, your monthly resets truly showcase your incredible spirit and radiance. Your reflections on motherhood resonate deeply with me. I, too, had a remarkable stay-at-home mom who, despite financial challenges, showered me with unwavering love. Your wisdom about not judging others and embracing diversity echoes the values my mother instilled in me. I appreciate your authenticity and the positive impact you've had on my life. Thank you for being an inspiration.
Your description of the clothes had me cracking up. Also thanks for your book recommendations. I may never finish all the books on my Goodreads que. Oh and there is a great TV series actually called who the bleep did I marry. They interviewed the Green River killer's wife for one of the episodes.
Loved this video so much! Your story of your grandma going back to school and being an inspiration resonated with me too! My own grandma fulfilled her dream of becoming an RN when my mom was 15 years old. She sadly had to give up her nursing career about 10 years later due to a physical disability she had dealt with since being a young teen. Later, when she was in her mid 50s she returned to school and became a dietitian. She is now in her 70s and still works part time because she enjoys her work. Education is never a waste, and it's never too late!
My Mum died when I was 15 My Dad when I was 18 but both introduced me to Jesus which is the most wonderful legacy to leave your children. My Mum greeted people with a hug she eveloped loving people like Jesus would do. I was blessed with meeting a wonderful spiritual women who was our pastor when I was in my 20s and she has been a wonderful spiritual director and pastoral carer for me which has helped me so much I am Married with 3 adult kids and life is still fill of highs and lows no matter what age your children are but to look for the gems is so important and there are gems each and every day.
I ordered that book you mentioned from Amazon uk, as I live in Ireland and it was on offer for 99c 🎉. I made great friends with other mothers when my son started school, we all volunteered to help out with various things there, and we all ended up having a lot more kids and every Friday we meet in each others homes for tea and cake and a great chat while the kids played. This started when my son was 4, he’s 23 now in university and we mothers still meet up every week and the kids all grew up together and are still great friends too. It’s lovely to be a part of a circle of fabulous warm & kind women friends. We are there for each other through all the ups and downs of life.
I too struggle with Rosacea, in my eyes as well. You spoke of wine causing flare ups for you so I thought that, in case you didn’t know, fermented foods really do help, if you incorporate them daily such as kefir (I put it in my smoothies), yogurt, kombucha, miso, pickles, sauerkraut ect. I use the triple oat serum before my retinol, works wonderfully! I’ve used many products from my dermatologist to help with the redness like SkinCeuticals Phyto Corrective gel, it’s nice but I find Aveeno products work better for me. My mother and grandmother both lived through The Great Depression. My mother was three years old when it began. Their stories of the things they did and the ways they had to live inspire me to keep going through difficult seasons.
Absolutely agree on your last park about the negativity. Young parents and spouses need to learn this it's a game changer. I'm a Nana and try to practice this more because I see the changes. Now I wish I knew it when I was a new young Mom. Definitely going to look into the books you recommended. You got this with your classes!!!! I love hearing how about the woman in your life. You are an inspiration and an a person I would say helped me. 😊

Oh my gosh, that killed me. 😂😂
Oh Lydia, “not gossiping about your kids”! I will put my husband in that category too and definitely see the merit in it. Thank you ❤
Absolutely. I would be DEVASTATED if my husband talked about me the way I've heard women talk about their husbands.
Your glasses are so cute!! 😍
Thank you!!
Love your sense of humor

The Blanche comment made me laugh so hard. 😂

You are frickin' hilarious!! And I LOVE your glasses. Thank you for sharing with all of us -- such a gift.
Loved your rant at the end, it was so true and it encouraged me to build up my home instead of tearing it down!❤
OMG! Blanche Devereux coming for your man. I legit snorted my coffee. Thanks for the belly laugh and nasal rinse. You are the best. ❤
Any time!
Hi Do you like Freida Mc Fadden? I adore her books.
I don't think I've read anything by her. Which of her books would you recommend?
Your mom sounds awesome!!!
She's amazing. Once we were at a pharmacy drive through and someone complimented her scarf and she just took it off and gave it to the person.
@@TheRealLydiaSenn wow, wish I could know her… you are very lucky ❤️

That is so kind, thank you.
I listened to all 50 parts of the Reesa Teresa videos while doing meal prep and housework.👏🏾
Yes! She can tell a story so well.
Me too and then I promptly forgot all about it until someone mentions it again. It had me fully captivated for two days. :-)
My boys are now in their 20s, but I remember when my husband insisted it was time to get rid of their big tonka trucks. I was in denial, until I realized he was right. I still miss those little boys.
I'm deep in my feelings about my kids getting bigger.

I too struggle with Rosacea, in my eyes as well. I think my skin really likes the oats. Hope that helps 😉
I am cracking up at your reviews of different clothes! I love your videos. They are so relatable and they make me smile.😊
Glad you like them!
My SIL is going through all of the stuff trying to make her rosacea as well. Found out about nightshade foods bring it out too. 😟
Love the Blanche Devereaux "Golden Girls" reference!
I got a little teary eyed watching this video. And I like your take on how we should view and treat the people we care about…specifically our spouse and children.
I totally agree with you on not gossiping about children. I despise people who does that, my parents did that and I never confided in them. I see this a lot esp on instagram. Right? It made me question EVERYONE.
And amen to the older mama and grandma made friends. They are not optional!!
I love to see you pop on my feed! ❤
Yay! Thank you!
Nooo to the Jumpsuit
I am with you when it comes to the little things in life. ❤
I couldn't agree more about criticizing children the whole, "thank G-d the school break is over" type commentary just makes me sad.

Right on time with this video - was feeling post vacation blues … 😢 x
Hope you enjoyed it!

We got rid of over 100 books in Feb. I was on a roll until I tore my meniscus..and now looking at surgery most likely! 😩
Oh no!
I read the prequel to legends and lattes, bookshops and bonedust, and February, and I loved it!
That's awesome!
I have such a strong pioneer heritage that includes both my Grandmas and Greats from 1800s.
