    Post-pandemic, post-Ian, post-everything! I needed your perky, positive outlook to live in gratitude, review and recast goals ... you squeeze a lot in your 24/7 and I can do better. I didn't feel less than or beat myself up as I took notes and the challenge to do BETTER today, tomorrow and the next day! Thank you for your honesty and positivity!!!
    Going back to school in the tech field is what I had to do in the 70s, 80s, 90s to broaden my horizons, change my career goals, and be able to be financially stable/independent. I needed that to take care of me, my parents, and my kids. I knew my teaching and school psychology degrees couldn't... these were my goals not my husband's!
    I'm divorced, retired and hit speed bumps like many do, yet all my degrees ,encouragement and hard work allow me to be thankful I invested in myself along the way and encourage others to accept the challenge to continually improve.
    TODAY I NEEDED YOUR RESET IDEAS TO GET ME MOVING AND BETTERING MYSELF AGAIN despite the post-everythings! Thank you and much success challenging yourself 😘

    Don’t let the math get to you! I’ve had intense math anxiety my entire life and hate that it dictated my first leg in college. At 30, I decided to go back to school for business management and had to conquer my math fear with all the accounting and econ classes. I went on to complete my MBA ❤️ I learned a lot about myself in my second leg of college as an adult. I wish I could go back and give my younger self coping skills. Can’t wait to see you excel in your field of study!

    Please please please tell us what you're studying! I went back to school in 2010 while also working full time with 3 small kids aged 9, 6 and 4 at the time and got my MBA. I LOVE it when people go back to school and want to hear all about it!

    Marry for money and learn to love them later. When i became an adult i would laugh and tell her she is crazy.
    She also always encourged us to save our money!!!

    Some of my resetting is directed toward the garden and fall produce. I try to have my garden ready for the winter--plants moved, mulch spread, and debris in the compost/garbage. I also like to freeze soups that are made of market produce: root vegetable and squash purees, roasted tomatoes, and apple desserts. Thanks for another great video!

    I hear you on the feeling of being busy every weekend. For October I'm hosting a 🎃 carving party and I love spooky season. With financial resetting the big thing I've been slacking on is meal planning. Really a necessity when I'm out of the house a couple nights a week. I'm a part if an 🪓 league, a dragon boat team and also do outrigger canoe.

    Also, I'm in the tail end of my doctorate, preparing for my dissertation defense, which no one would have expected me to do either. 1) Good for you for going back to school and 2) one step at a time, you'll make it.

    I love that you are discussing books you are reading. I love reading and have since I was young. I switched over to 95% ebooks about 8 years ago. Now, I think I’m going to switch over to 100% ebooks. I do miss the physical books, but I have a box of books right now to donate or gift and I literally haven’t been able to find anyone to take them for over a month. Since Covid no libraries or businesses near me will accept book donations. I live on Long Island, NY. I tried FB free groups and I’ve had a few people say they are interested but then never show up. I refuse to leave out the books and risk damage due to weather. I’ve offered to drop them off, but people don’t show up. Sad…. Any suggestions on how to donate I’d appreciate.

    "Maggie Moves On" by Lucy Score is a really cute, funny romance read. There's some heat but it's small doses, not strewn throughout. I REALLY enjoyed it and I'm not a huge romance fan. I will read more from the author for sure.

  • @elizabethb913
    @elizabethb913 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I hated that Colleen book. Almost none of the relationships portrayed in that book were healthy, or safe. I'm genuinely a lil perturbed about the rave reviews I can't seem to escape all over social media. I know people who lived through real life similar situations. Nothing romantic or 'aspirational' about it. In real life, the courts are often involved and no one is happily coparenting.
