Hi Frankie , did you know that with MIUI 13 update, we can use the rear display with all camera mode , Including video and Portrait mode , not only selfie anymore. Mi 11 ultra is the best phone I ever had . Can't wait for the 12 Ultra . Xiaomi forever!

But I do think it is better than S22u and definitely better than iPhones.
I got my MI11U on May last year (even though I bought it on March), almost a year now. I never ever enjoyed a device as much as this device, you can say whatever brand and I'd say NOOOOO, not even Xiaomi, just the MI11U.
As mentioned earlier, you missed the new camera features and upgrades.
Honestly, you should make an updated camera review of this device after upgrade, HUGE DIFFERENCES IN SHOOTING AND PHOTOGRAPHY!!!!! And trust me, you'll probably be the only person who will do an updated review of a nearly perfect device after all the enhancements and the improved algorithms.
I do not recommend doing underwater recordings, but I can send you an underwater recording that I've taken few days ago after 13.0.2 update, to add to your review if you are happy with that.
This device still impressing me by every day I use it.
Between this and a pixel 6, what do you think is the best point and shoot camera?
@@madhavunuth5078 I have not tried pixel 6, but speaking of today, second day of the new app of Leica camera app of Mi12s Ultra that is compatible with Mi11 Ultra, then I do not think it is a fair comparison for pixel since pixel is losing in all aspects (in my opinion, and be aware have not tested pixel 6)
@@StarGrapper I want the best camera in a smartphone, and the discounted mi 11U makes it very appealing. Plus, the mini display at the rear makes it arguably the best selfie camera out there(which is very important for me)
Oh and btw, how has mi UI held up? Is it true users can't install 3rd party launchers like Nova launcher on it?
@@madhavunuth5078 honestly. I do not know about 3rd party launchers, MIUI launcher is more than enough for me, good looking, smooth, and clean (global version). It is probably better than oxygen is I had for my one plus 6t (probably not a good comparison but it is way better). Do not forget the super wallpapers which truely are superrrrrr
I am using global version, so if you are buying Chinese version please refer to XDA forums and developers to answer your questions.
I am so happy with this device, and truely wouldn't replace it for galaxy 22 ultra. Only maybe for Xiaomi 12s ultra.
The rear camera is really good for notifications for me more than camera shooting.
I am speaking of experience of probably 16 months now on global version. It keeps getting better and better.
Keep in mind if you are a software updates geek (useless security patches that most people able about and do not know what does the update do) then this device probably not for you because updates are nearly quarterly, not monthly. Again, useless security patches that probably just changing date of patch no more.

From the software front i value stability and smoothness, the current oos 11 has serious issues with gmail notif. May I ask from where did you buy your mi11u? I bought the Xiaomi 11t Pro yesterday and I'm very about it. Especially the 120w charging is incredible!
I posted this under similar videos. This went on sale so I finally pulled the trigger and bought it yesterday. Will be sad to see my Mi Max 3 go as my daily driver. Such a fantastic phone and it is still working great with an amazing battery. Just wanted to spoil myself since my daily driver is 4 years old now. As always, great content old timer!

And yes it is the best phone i have ever own! the camera and also especially zoom one that help me a lot in university to take a picture from a very far distance. and a lot of things
just i am littelly not happy with battery life! but also I like how fast it can be charged.

Mi 11 ultra and Poco X3 pro are amazing 0homes, I'm sure there are other xiaomi phones out there are good too, but I've used Poco X3 pro for a year and two months now and I don't regret it.

Considering that you can use the back camera with the help of mini display , you don't need to be worried for the front camera and it's definitely one of the best Android still now for this reason
With MIUI13, the rear display flawlessly functioning as a viewfinder for VIDEO recording is not highlighted & never emphasized enough. That distinct feature sets Mi 11 Ultra apart from other flagships. No gimmick there!

I don't get the "gimmick" part in most reviews.
In which other phone you can take a selfie or now with miui 13 an actual video, With the main camera sensors of the phone.
Regular or ultra wide and a 48MP ultra wide sensor not the gimmicky, imo, 8-12MP in most other phones..
but it was only limited to 15 seconds before, is it still the case or did it improve now?

I'm really really happy with this phone. I have had it for like 4 months now and still uncover features and stuff this phone has. I imported mine from HK, so it's the Chinese version, and no issues at all.

Still using the Mi 10 Ultra, didn't really see a big enough jump to mi 11 Ultra, hoping for the 12 Ultra to set new Standards and be worth the upgrade.
I picked up a mi 11 ultra a couple of months back used fot $hk4800. Best phone I have ever used. The curves in the corners provide the hooks to keep the case on. it disappears with a case on.

Hey @Frankei , for Indian model, we are facing huge problem with wifi , it stopped working for some of us and the mainboard has to be changed as per Mi Service Centre.
is it only on indian models or all phones have this issue?
In Croatia it's 50% cheaper then when it released so I'm buying it in June for 900€(was 1800€ when released)

I still think this is a great phone. I was looking at the Vivo X80 Pro which was released a couple months back and this Mi 11 ultra still beats it even a year on. Its a shame that the Mi 12s Ultra wont be released outside of China, thats a bummer but this phone is still definitly delivering to this day.

The phone is awesome, I still use it and the cameras are amazing, battery life is not so good even with latest updates but it's not all bad thanks to 67w wired and wireless charging, the rear display is mostly a gimmick and I use it for rear selfies only, so I will not miss it too much when it's gone, but I have to say this phone is a "slam dunk" (sorry if I wrote it wrong) the phone delivers on all fronts and I couldn't be any happier than using it, great display, great cameras, great vibration motor, great sound, great ceramic feel in the back, basically almost everything is great, the only bads are: it overheats because of the Snapdragon 888, and the battery life is not so great, otherwise it's a perfect phone that I can easily recommend!

Hey, I had a question about the rear display. When the phone was newly released the rear display could only stay on for 30 seconds at a time, and record video 15 seconds at a time. Though they said that those extra features would come in with software updates, my question was that did they introduce those extra features and make better use of the rear display?
looking forward to the 240 watt charging phone. that will be the gamechanger feature for me. if its combined with a 200 mp cam even better (a well optimized one I should add). top notch screen is also a must

Absolutely loved it but the battery life was horrendous. However MIUI 13 completely changed that like Frankie pointed out and its 1 weak point has been removed! An almost perfect phone however would love the new speakers from the Mi 12 Pro or even the Mi 10 Pro which has more depth in the sound!!!
One 1 year later and this test is still terrific 😂

I purchased it and it is a very limited quantity of these available especially in the global market. Though unfortunately after 4 months of use, it died and sad thing is Xiaomi couldn't repair it instead they gave me a full refund. I still truly believe is the best phone, but due to it's limited quantity I couldn't get it fix or get a new replacement. All I can do now is hope that Xiaomi 12 Ultra releases in the global otherwise I really don't know which phone to buy then if they only releases it in China.
Had a similar issue with one of their older flagships glad to hear you received compensation.
I as well was very impressed with my Xiaomi phone.
But it's my opinion they need to slow down on production and focus on some quality and support if they want to compete in the global market that's why their phones aren't available in the global market.
My Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro died after 3 months too. Out of nowhere, was using it one day and poof, screen went black and absolutely never responded. Got battery replaced which has now voided warranty, and thinking to send it off for a repair which may be costly, but after reading your comment, I'm concerned that will be a further waste of time and money.
@@OCSmoke8 really sorry for you it's unfortunate for us consumers sometimes. I appreciate when some of these TH-cam video reviewers actually call out companies for the flaws and their products instead of just kissing your rear ends for free stuff and money.
My xiaomi mi 11 ultra got disconnected from my wifi and I took it to the service center... Issue was with mother board... They repaired and gave it to me... I sad with the experience

Able to do a comparison on 11 ultra and 11T pro? on specs they are very close against each other but on camera wise abit of difference.

Of the new flagship phones, there haven't been great camera tests to justify the price hike aside from the 200w charging phones.. I went with the 11 ultra over the 12 ultra due to the price and the 12 ultra being immature for the upgraded hardware (it seems). Price plus car charger, plus wireless stand was unbeatable compared to Samsung flagship
I had it. Nice smartphone, but bad battery and frecuently it warm up with camera use.

I purchased the K20 pro, mi 9t pro, and mi 11 ultra. I am satisfied with my mi 11 ultra and I use it every day. The performance has only gotten better with the addition of Miui 13! If the Mi 12 ultra can perform better, I will purchase it and upgrade.
You bought the same smartphone twice?
@@Pascaleiro The k20 pro was the Chinese model. It's overclocked at 677 mhz. It has 12 gigs of ram and 512 gigs of storage. The mi9t pro is the global model clocked at 585 mhz. It has 8 gigs of ram and 256 gigs of storage. The phones are still good now. The only reason I upgraded was to change from 4g lte to 5g.
@@kennethluton302 I asked cause you had the better model and then bought the other one. I had the 9T Pro for two years, had a "little" accident some weeks ago and searched for the same model, but it's not as cheap as when I bought it then, so I went for the 11 Ultra
I am very satisfied with the Mi 11 Ultra! I have root and undervolted the regulators. It gets amazing battery life with Miui 13 EU rom. It has to be at least 10 hours of screen on time.

I got this phone last November and no doubt it is still going strong.. the battery is still holding good . And when it's not the 67w charger charges the phone super fast .
