My mom tried this recipe, and we love it. The strained leftover contents can be mixed with julienne carrots, diced onion and rehydrated black fungus then season to taste. If you're not vegetarian, you can add grounded pork and some crabmeat if you want it fancy ;). Divide them into bite size and fry them like you did with the tofu. With this additional recipe, you don't waste any bits of the ingredients! The end product is very crunchy and savory that you can wrap them with lettuce or eat them alone and call it a meal!
I did it with Ramen Broth and TARE, (instead of the water) I then added in seaweed and Yuzu. But Ill try your kinky idea. Your a mad scientist and It very rare , that I am impressed (lol thank you)
Hi Vi Tiet, I was also wondering if the pulp can be used for another recipe as it is indeed a waste of the healthy ingredients. Don’t mind me asking, how do you have all the ingredients that you mentioned bind together? Do you use and egg and flour/ cornflour for binding?
@@christinalee7977 Hi Christina, you are absolutely correct. For binding, my mom used some flour as well as eggs, although I don't know the exact ratio, just add them in until you can shape them in your palm and experiment from there. She also break a package of ramen and mix it together with the batter to add extra crunchiness.
I'll add half a cup of nutritional yeast 5 minutes before removing it from the heat, then marinating it in salt, fresh garlic, olive oil and lemon juice for a vegan feta cheese, my daughter will love it! This would also make an excellent basis for halloumi cheese, with nooch and perhaps a pinch of black salt... Or mixing with fresh garlic and nooch then dipping in batter and frying, for fried cheese sticks. Grilled cheese sandwitches and vegan cheese boards also come to mind... So many possibilities! What a fantastic recipe! Thank you sooo much! 💚🌿
Chi, i made this today..omg..it's soooo yummy.melt in your mouth and fluffy...lol with these recipes I can become vegetarian and still enjoy..love you, xoxo em
Oh wow I've never seen this made with oats before! The texture seems even better with that addition in comparison to other recipes I've tried. Can't wait to try this!
Made this and it's awesome. Fried on a pan with some oil until golden and then mixed chopped ginger and garlic with soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, lemon juice and coconut sugar in a bowl and poured on the tofu. Wow. So yummy 😋
While paneer, to my knowledge, is very fresh cheese, I accidentally found a vegan source for some very mature french or esrom style kinda "adult" cheede aroma: Make a big portion of llactoferment from zucchini, watch it develop incredible richmess while you continue to eat of it, eventually transfer it to the fridge and manage to raw out the full consumption for a couple weeks. White blur (not fur!) is perfectly fine. In that state, both he brine or the kraut will give any dish a potent, aurhentic (European) slow food cheese flavour.
I like the use of the slotted spoon to show the consistency/thickness. This opens up a lot of potential recipes, thank you for this. Liked, subscribed.
Fascinating - I've been making Burmese tofu with chick pea flour for a while but this looks to have a superior consistency! I'll be having a go for sure!
@@bak5601 no it tastes like chickpeas the first day. I let it sit for a day to get rid of the taste as it lets out water and becomes fermer. Then it tasts like nothing. You can season as you like. It's pretty cool.
I use this recipe and added chopped mushroom , some garlic and salt at the end of the cooking.. It’s to die for.... My next batch with chopped cooked shrimps.
@@nilam5328 thats a myth ;) and soy used for human consumption is most often not GMO. (also most of the things we buy today eg tomatoes and bananas are GMO )

This seems like a great substitute for the fish in 'fish and chips'. Especially with more seasoning in the cooking process. Can't wait to try this!
Absolutely!
Add furikake/nori/seaweed flakes to it for that ocean flavor and serve it with lemon. Delicious.
Or with meatspices in the cooking process
This recipe is a winner 😃😃😋
Super cool...how long can this be stored and how do we store it ?

That does sounds really good 😀Thank you for watching!
How was the texture? I imagine it to be like silken tofu since it looked pretty shiny and looked more like a jelly than tofu 😅
Thanks for the recipe.
Would you please be so kind as to share the recipe with measurements to glaze the tofu?
This is absolutely genius and will go viral one day
Thank you for watching!
Yesssssss to this recipe 🙌🏼 Such a grey idea fit those avoiding soy, or want to be self sufficient not relying on the store
That looks like a perfect vegan substitute for paneer; thank you so much for sharing! I'll definitely try it.
Did you try? Does it taste like panner?
Tofu would be a better substitute in my opinion
@@ni3070 it's going to retain some of its chickpea flavour..but if you season it properly ... you'd definitely like the end result
