I swear, creeper world games seem to pop up every few years. I thought it was just a good flash game when I was a kid but then it keeps being revived. Hell, 4 is in development right now.

fun fact: the guy who made this is working on a 3D version of this. and he also made a version of this game but instead of fighting on planets you are fighting in space with space ships (its really cool and I highly recommend it)
I am super excited about creeper world 4, it looks amazing from what he's shown us, and if the previous games are anything to go by, it will be my next favorite game when it releases

I own Creeper World 4 and I have to say the campaign is looking rather short compared to 3 but it looks nice and plays just as well as 3.

I'm glad creeper world is finally getting the recognition that it deserves, I've been in love with the series from the moment I found the demo on Kongergate, Thanks Dan for bringing this to us!
i've been playing the series since creeper world 1 and it is exactly as frustratingly difficult as it has ever been and i love it!
Oh how I'd love to see the joy on the developers faces as they freak out trying to figure out why their game has suddenly sold thousands of copies

Tips:
Don't build so many collectors right away, only add a couple, they'll finish quicker. In other words, you can build 6 collectors faster by building them 2 at a time, compared with building 6 at once.
You showed how to move turrets, then risked constructing a new one right at the creeper's border. Better to build it back from the line, then move it forward. Turrets can survive a few moments in creeper, long enough to attack and clear themself a perimeter. In progress construction is destroyed immediately on contact, on the other hand.
Build multiple collectors with click and drag. It auto spaces them and leaves less to guess work. Go back and fill in the weird terrain after.
Fun fact, for that second mission all you need to do is fill in the gaps in the walls and the creep can never get over it, no fighting required. (Until you try to get the key.) It spreads out too far to roll over the wall and since there are no emitters no more can spawn in.

This publicity is great for the Dev. I watched his development vid's a while back and they usually had no more than a few thousand views; much needed for a game and developer that deserves it.

Turrets have a life bar and holds some ammo. You can jump them into creeper to secure an area much faster than inching into it. All weapons are more effective when able to target deeper creeper.
Its called "hot drop", and as soon as he gets shields and guppys thats going to be really effective.

I've spent 150 hours on this game
I remember playing like this a long time ago. It wasn't for ages until I realised you can build reactors exponentially and then build tons of cannons, mortars, sprayers and shields and fly them right on top of the creeper to decimate the creep around it and fly them out before they die to refuel. While you're doing all that you can be building the next wave of units for the other creepers at the same time.
Play the whole game please complete it this is great stuff to watch

I once heard the Creeper World series described as a "tower offense game", and to be honest that's a pretty accurate description.

For anyone who'd prefer a more mobile approach to the gameplay. They made another game called "Particle Fleet Emergence" where your turrets are actually moveable spaceships which act as weapon platforms.
It's also a Prequel to the game Dan's playing.

Honestly, should do some more! I rather like seeing how you go about solving each mission, and it's sorta satisfying to watch the creep leak forward, and fill up holes and gaps!

Additionally, I love watching people's strategies, seeing how other's work compared to my own way of playing.
My playstyle consists of just anti-creep rushes after a long build-up of stuffs.
I just want to thank you for making this video as I have now bought and loved all the creeperworld games. Get Jon to play it on his channel sometime if you can. This series of games deserves more love.
I hope this extra publicity gives Virgil a boost in sales, he definitely deserves it. Programs these games by himself and does it very intelligently. Personally I prefer Particle Fleet, but CW3 was also obscenely fun.
Every new year we go to our grandparents house, and their wifi is awful. As a kid, I got around that by going downstairs to the router, opening a bunch of flash games, and going somewhere to play them. I found Creeper World 1 many years ago, and 2 sometime after that, and it's always kinda been a tradition for me to play creeper world while I'm there. I didn't know there was a third one until just this year, or I guess technically last year

Have you tried Forts? Its a RTS where where you build forts using the physics of a bridge building game. You can make people topple over, shatter them with rippling shock waves etc.

I loved the shit out of the original creeper world and yes it does have a story to it. The originals the command center could move too and you had to activate portals to get off the planet. There wasn’t nullifiers so it was impossible to fully stop the creep.

I passed this game over myself years ago as the videos I watched never really did it justice. However when i eventually bought it I ended up playing 50+ hrs on it. It is an absolute gem of a game that sadly gets overlooked. A lot of people take one look and call it a tower defence but it is legitimately one of the best RTS games that has come out in years. There are a tonne of missions and they never feel like they are running out of new tricks. There are also extra levels after u beat the campaign so it is the kind of game you can just keep coming back to. I cannot recommend this game enough.
Pretty sure it gets overlooked by most people for the same reason as Dwarf Fortress.
I'm SO happy Dan has finally made a video on this game, it's been one of my faves for a long time. More people should play this game!
Before the goo started moving I thought this looked like it would be boring but it looks like it could be really intense and fun. I'll have to check this series out one day.

This reminds me of a game called Colors of war (Literally colors). Never heard of it, than you've probably never heard of Galaxy of games either. Basically you play as whatever color you want and fight against other colors for territory until you defeat all of the other colors. You build different things that spread your color in different ways and fight other colors when they boarder you.

you can click and drag when building collectors to make lines of collectors, they look cool and it saves time, also when you have a group of turrets near each other you can double-click one of them to select the whole group and move all at once

it's not a sequel. It's in the same universe, but it happened before the events of Creeper World 3. The word "prequel" is a stretch as well.

I decided to play during study hall today. I had a half an hour and didn't think to try and beat the levels quickly so I only beat a few levels.
I envy the guy who created the whole raw water thing. Bottling what is essentially swamp water, not paying anything into its production and then selling it at huge prices, lol.
You can still get into that but you'll make substantially less profit than the O.G. unless you come up with a better marketing ploy
Yeah people are idiots. Although I do admit that bottled water is full of chemicals the raw water shit is just dirt. I saw in a documentary once that the purest water you can get is frozen in ice caps if they sold that I would buy one just to see if I could actually taste the difference.
