If the Creeper is only 1 layer thick, the blasters are way more efficient than morters
whenever he fails at puzzle games i am like: "but you beat any portal level in 30 seconds..."
If you think about it, the player is essentially doing the same the the creeper is doing. Slow and steady consumption of the map and erradication of enemy units.
not gonna spoiler what little story this game has, but you aren't really killing the creeper

You also can play as the creeper in some user created maps, this game is great.

It works like a very slow puzzle of "Break this highly defended fort with a few spots that are weak to one or the other type of assault". Look up videos on PAC(literally "play as creeper"), it's not too exciting. Some of them are a race against time, but with a scripted enemy that just follows very rudimentary steps excitement just fades away. And, well, in every case it's a game of "Fill the map with Digitalis - here's the Creeper, here's the paintbrush".
also Creeper world kicks ass when it comes to modding and custom maps, and you should check it out.
Holy shit. I played the original Creeper World a shit ton as a teenager. It was a browser game. I've wanted to go back and play again but never could find it again. I had no idea there were sequels!
Pretty sure that browser game was actually a demo for a full Creeper World 1.

o9malla all the games are connected to one giant storyline if you wana play them all. Partial fleet is like a side-story but still connected. Actually it technically takes place far before creeper world 1 does.
I'll have to look into that. Thank you for guaranteeing the extinction of my already dwindling social life :P
The reason you never like mortars is because you can't figure out the curve of the projectile but as soon as you figure that out then you can usually fire it across maps and kill an entire team
and yes, he did play this before, it was just a while back. There's also a Creeper World 4 in the works, search for knucracker's channel for more.

Creeper World 4, the 4th game in the series (I know, shocking) just had a demo released on Steam. The best part? It's free.
I'd recommend checking it out. Particularly if you enjoyed the previous games.

I recommend one site, kongegrate. Can play most games in the series, if you want specific versions, might not find it though. Never knew about the arc eternal story line until i saw this

This gets really hard later on because sometimes it even punishes turtleing
And then you get the stupid levels when you start terraforming to survive an extra minute
This is possibly the most pleasant game to watch. It is so captivating!
Haven't properly started watching this (he's still chattin' about waiting for the crackle to stop) but I will say that the only reason I've clicked this (other than the fact that it's Dan) is because I have literally no idea how this game works, and never have, and I look forward to watching Dan struggle just as much as I do.

It did, yeah. He didn't struggle nearly as much as I thought he would. But I also learned how to play the game as he did. Though in my defense I was a stupid child when I first played the first Creeper World flash game, so helpful tutorials weren't a thing I payed attention to.
but... this game is quite easy... you build energy, you spam energy, you spam turrets, you slowly advance, you win...
it may take a couple of hours to win but losing is quite hard when you are at least trying...
well yes, I realize that now, but I didn't when I was many a year younger. Only reason I didn't figure out how to play between then and now is because I pretty much avoided the game after a few attempts ending in failure.

I'm so excited! I played the demo of this to death! Twice! Creeper world is probably my favorite rts series of all time! Plus it's Dan so the only thing that can go wrong will only make the video better
