Nice job! I had an 82 Monte .. it was a gorgeous ride.. Burgundy interior maroon paint 305. It was a year old when I bought her and I wish I still had it. I got orders for The UK when I was early in my AF career. Beautiful and I thought it was too nice .

This is way off subject. But i have a 88 Monte. When it’s up to temp I’m smelling a burning smell. I changed out all coolant hoses and radiator thermostat and all. Haven’t touched heater core or hoses. No leak inside of vehicle or smoke. Any ideas what i should also check
Classic GBody Garage replaced fan clutch and radiator cap to. Isn’t showing signs of over heating. Checked it with infrared gun temps are 165-195 at all hoses and thermostat.
I have purchased a two door 1979 delta 88 royale. I noticed that when it rains, there is a leak that starts dripping down from somewhere up underneath the dash onto the passenger's side floorboard. My question is this, where are the most common spots that this type of leak comes from? And what type of sealant is best for this application?

Better off with actual car molded carpet made for the car. A carpet laying friend spent 3 weeks on my car using house carpet hand sewing it. Lots of work looks nice but if you had to pay that kind of labor not worth it,

Floor pans rarely rust on the inside unless there is a windshield leak or heater core leak

All ttop panels are screwed down. Can be removed.

pull the carpet up to access the Torx bolt

Is it over heating? Always check the radiator cap and fan clutch as well.

What type of burning smell then? It could be an oil leak and the oil is burning on to the exhaust causing smell.

how did you apply the rtv sealant? i got the same size holes in my floor in identical spots my car is also a T-top car

You need to remove the dash or remove the top screws and pull it back to fit them in.

T50 Torx socket to remove the outer seat belt retractors and they also hold down the seat. Then lift up on the seat as it hooks up top as well

Why do G bodys always rust on the passenger side more 🤔
elmeromero chitown heater box leaks water after the seals dry out. Once it rains it just dumps on the passenger floor
The heater box tends to leak at the seals and run onto the floor and there is also usually a heat barrier pad for the cat converter that holds water
you got lucky on the seats they look nice compared to the nasty carpet

"Phillips" screw on gbody cars are posidrive#2 not Phillips a the "t50" bolts r actually t47 torx bolts
You are correct on posidrive but most don't have them and phillips work find. Also the T50 are T50 unless my drive is lying.
