On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

NGAD vs F-15 ACTIVE, dogfight, guns and missles plzkthx
SU-57 vs F-15 ACTIVE, dogfight, guns only plzkthx
Day 35 asking for F-22 vs 10 MiG 21
The fact that you never know how close one of those missiles are to you blows me away with each clip showing the missile’s POV
No way to tell, that's what's terrifying about it.
You can actually tell how close the missiles are by looking at their signal strength on the RWR of the Flanker.
I dont bu if you know what you are doing you can guestimate
Yep, it will literally blow you away.
16:11 what a landing, thanks for your work
it was a tight one lol
You caught the edge of the deck on that landing. Nice.
A Hair's breadth from a ramp strike fireball on deck.
Been there seen that IRL. Not fun.
A few centimeters lower and not so nice!
Yup, nearly took himself out with a ramp strike, though it might have looked beautiful on on one of his replays on dieing.

I'm a new FA18 pilot, been playing for 3 months. Chucks guide and your channel are my training materials. From hardware to bvr.
Love your content man
appreciate you brother, glad you find some stuff here useful, Much Love.
0:35 In 2018 the dry dock for the Kusnezow sank and a collapsing crane left a hole in the flight deck. In 2019 and 2022 fires broke out. To run the carriers systems a basic crew has to remain on board, which have to use the board facilities with no hot water in winter. No power supply from the shore means that generators have to run permanently. If I remember it correctly there were some reports that they had issues with the toilet system and some other important things for the daily means, but to prove this I have to do some more research.
Jeez. Damn near hooked the back edge of the flight deck on that landing
That's because the real Admiral Kuznetsov normally sits a few inches lower in the water.
Hey, the Kuznetsov runs just fine, while being towed...
She sails with dignity. Dignity being the name of the ocean going tug that accompanies it at all times.
@nickschultheis9590
Dignity And Poise. You mustn't forget Poise - the fire fighting ship that follows the Admiral, and Dignity wherever they go.
Im all for the American fighters and everything. But you gotta admit that those Sukhois look real good...I mean they're really badass
I've heard it said that aerodynamically, they're the most advanced 4th generation fighters as Russia was working on them while we were moving to F-22
Flanker series is the sexiest series
The Russians do make pretty fighters.......that no pilot would chose over a Western fighter if given the choice.
@@therocinante3443 The F16 has entered the chat and would like a word.
@@drawingdead9025 How many pilots did you ask?
Agree.. I'm a sucker for canards and they look great on the Flanker.
Almost didn't make that landing... :P
I’m the same. I always thought this was the best looking aircraft to ever come out of Russia. I always had a love for the beautifully curvy Dassault Rafale too. It was pretty awesome to see them side by side with the Typhoon in the Qatari air force.
@@thegreyarea-WPP what about its Swedish single-engine counterpart, the Gripen?
No Grade Taxi 1 wire. The Squadron LSO and the Skipper wants a word with you.
If they didn't want him to use it, they wouldn't have put it there! 😂
8:52 I laughed way too hard at the Hornet takin a poop
Not just more than 8 F18s but F35s with that ridiculously powerful radar.
Probably shouldn't be nitpicky here but it's not a powerful radar, it's an advanced radar.
It gains range/power by using multiple f35s linked together. One alone has a fairly weak radar.
@@Greasy__Bear lol no. . it is not by any means a fairly weak radar. . .
@@arkadious9320 compared to an AWACS i suppose
@@Greasy__Bear lol only the most powerful radar installed on a fighter
And a few EA-18s absolutely blinding every enemy radar in the area
The Moskova operates surprisingly really well from the bottom of the Black Sea.
An EF-111 and E/F-18 Growler need to be in DCS
Growlers are definitely used by the USN and Aussies in their battle plan, DCS certainly disadvantages countries with superior 5th gen and electronic warfare aircraft in their inventory.
SU-33 and SU-30SM both are super beautiful
out of all the low-fidelity planes in DCS, the su-33 is my favorite
Agreed!
@@AB-jp2ebplanes that are simplified. They are easier for newer players to fly
@@AB-jp2ebnon-clickable cockpits and a simpler flight model
It is time for Battle of the Canards: A dogfight battle royale featuring (at a minimum) the SU33 Flanker-D, Eurofighter Typhoon, Dassault Rafale, and JAS39 Gripen. May the best 'nard win.
A carrier launch from the Kuznetsov carrier. Nice.
That was insane.
You know the Su35 concept started out as a digitalised Su33 development for land-based use and the naval fighter was originally intended to be upgraded to a similar standard, if economics hadn't gotten in the way.
Would like to see most tacviews, like I am curious if that mad-dog found a target
It looked like the last Hornet downed was GS's mad dog shot.
@@firebald2915 Possible, but it also could have been a trade with another SU-33
They also dropped a drydock crane on the deck during repairs, not sure if that was before the fire or after.
blyat
You say "the" fire, like there was just one.
Great thing about Super Murder Hornets is that they are massive missile trucks…
Damn, everytime you say "I think I'm good" I reflexively check the video lenght to see if I can avoid the missile jumpscare.
Always amazed at how calm you remain, soothing even...
Dude, you have become a LOT better at landings!!!
Christ, I remember you REALLY used to suck at them, but that landing was beautiful!
I think you did an absolutely amazing job of Piloting for sure, especially if you are not used to Naval battles, cause they are so much different than any other Flying Battle. It's way harder! You did awesome and just missed a couple missiles but you did and were the only one to come back so that is a plus. Now I can't wait to see another one, and flying as an American Pilot! Thanks! And Great job!
Surprisingly even match, thought it was over for ya, impressive landing too!
You did unbelievable landing on the end. Gerat job by you GS again thanks ❤❤❤❤
hell yeah su-33 content
The Kuznetsov must be being towed when you landed. Otherwise, it should be shrouded in thick black smoke. Makes it dead easy to find on the horizon though 😂
Can you carry out some Air to Ground actions with the Flanker off the Kuznetsov?
Good Chalange's.Epic..
Amazing video dude, they're always fun to watch, how did you get those r-77-1's though?
There would likely be F35s too, not just SuperHornets.
Also, the US Navy would be raining AEGIS missiles in.
If you want to be real the Russian carrier would have never gotten that close it would have been sunk way before
Russia would simply nuke US-soil..
@@marvingillespie6199if you want to be real weather satellites would be seeing the smoke from it's trashed engines and issuing emergency NOTAMs warning of newly formed mid ocean volcano plumes to be on alert for.
Speaking of Navy I was really hoping to see more Harrier content!
Main problem, ( among many) is Admiral Kuznatzov, has not had any below waterline maintenance since Gorbachev was top banana. Hard to have expectations of professionalism from a Navy who is managing to lose all it's naval battles to a country without a Navy.
The f18 firing a missile down 11:29 and getting splashed looks so cinematic. So epic
Ok I am 4:45 into the Video and I already think you hit a Homerun with this mission and bringing these to your platform now if that is what you are planning on doing. Awesome so far I love Naval Battle Concepts, these are by far my Favorite kind of role plays and missions. Nothing better than an Old Fashion Naval Battle (just with updated naval assets) between two countries or even multiple if you can get the Server Space.
US and Australian have the extra capabilities of having EA-18G Growlers in accompanying F/A-18E-F Super hornets.
If you have to fight with any 4.5gen multirole aircraft then a dedicated electronic warfare aircraft certainly helps.
I was a little surprised that the landing cable didn't snap and ditch you into the water. I was also surprised that there wasn't a tug trying to pull the Russian carrier up to speed for the landing. Well done GS!
16:10 - Dat landing! - GS, you almost face-planted the ass-end of yer carrier!
I miss your ww2 dogfight content
If Mr. Rogers was a fighter pilot, he’d sound like you! Lol. Calm and soothing with a little bit of joy
I’ve not done any research (obviously need to) into as to exactly how a folded winged aircraft can still perform under such hi G. Pretty wild when you think about it.
Bring the Sukhoi 30mki back on!
I have for some reason just come to the realization that those of us who fly in DCS regularly likely have more experience than some actual Russian pilots.
Su-33 has to be my favorite jet fighter for the sole reason that it just looks so damn cool
Su-47 vs YF-23 dogfight?
Yf-23 would clap the su-47
@@parks2195In BVR sure, but in dogfight doubtfully
Is the R-77-1 a missile that comes only with the Sukhoi Su-33? I have the Su-27 Flanker/J-11 Bravo which only comes with the normal R-77 if you are flying the J-11.
No that’s from the su30 mod I put them on the aircraft by editing LUA files
@@GrowlingSidewinder oh ok, is there a video online I can follow to do the same for the J11?
Will NEVER get over that Hornet Howl!
Was really interested in if you were going to land ok on the carrier....but you aced it... great job....
Hahah I don’t know about aced brother almost hit the back of the thing, but hey any landing you can walk away from as they say…
"The classical air combat starts at high speed, but if you miss on the first shot-and the probability is there because there are maneuvers to avoid missiles-the combat will be more prolonged. After maneuvering, the aircraft will be at a lower speed, but both aircraft may be in a position where they cannot shoot. But supermaneuverability allows an aircraft to turn within three seconds and take another shot."
- Sergey Bogdan, Sukhoi chief test pilot
"...Last I heard it was smoking and put in drydock.." What's with the high pressure sales pitch for the Canadian Navy to buy it?
Never gonna happen.
The Russians refuse to convert it to run on maple syrup.
I'm hella late to this one!!!!!!! Never thought I'd see it!!! G.S. is flying one of my favorite 4th Gen Naval aircraft!!! The Flanker-D is such a beautiful aircraft!!! We need more Flanker-D content G.S!!!!!!!!!!!!
4:32 HOLY HELL THAT HORNET IS PACKING SO MANY AMRAAMS ON THAT LEFT WING ALONE, I KNOW THE SUPER HORNETS PAYLOAD IS HUGE BUT DAMN, THAT MANY AND STILL GOT A FUEL TANK AND 2 FOX 2'S
Imagine if they had the block 3 with EWPs
Sick video bruv. Though it would have been great to see a tac view of the engagement.
Really love these scenario videos from you, GS.
Whoa. I'm not sure if you noticed 11:54 to 11:55 but check out the missile (probably an AIM-120D) flying over the Su-33. If you blink, you'll miss it. In fact, if you freeze frame at 15:11, you'll see another one passing behind G/S.
Wow this is a change! Awesome! I think this is the first Naval video of yours I have seen so I can't wait! Though I think you already got through the hardest part cause you are a great DCS Pilot, and you are off the Deck! Shockingly as well with it fully armed up. Good Luck! Ya as if I am talking to you right now. I swear ADD flipping sucks!
Yeah should be five to one at least.
Good video. Thanks again.
The fight we all wanna see 🎉
Great gameplay for some Su-33 mastery on the first step. 84th time to suggest a boss fight between a MiG-29/Su-27 by pair or solo vs Su-57 Felon to fight against one of the most maneuverable jets in the world, I dare you to do so, GS! Good luck!
Unfortunately 5th gen and stealth renders maneuverability redundant.
such a gorgeous plane!
Holy crap dude, that was really close to a ramp strike! Good mission, better video!
Ahh, the Admiral Kuzentov, the only military flagship in the world to manage a peacetime sinking while in drydock.
That would be a fun one to do in a server type of situation.
The flankers look beautiful ❤️
The graphics are spellbinding, even on my phone.❤
2:03 is that the submarine missile cruiser that's not effing itself?
It would be cool to see some Fox 1 BVR!
Another great Vid 👍 bit hard to see who was who though
I love naval aircraft, but folding stabilators? The F-14 stabs were much bigger, and didn't have to be folded. Sukhoi has some strange ideas .
I would have liked to see the AUg Steyr as well
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, whoever is responsible for the capabilities of US AMRAAM in DCS, really doesn’t think very highly of them. Over open water, there shouldn’t have been that many missiles flying by and not hitting their marks.
Damn those Super Hornets are armed to the teeth
Sweet, i'm getting this one rite out of the box. 5 mins. old. Keep them coming
Insane how 15 aircraft were destroyed in an engagement where no one actually SAW each other
I agree man, the canards on the SU-33 and others that have them make them such a nice-looking fighter. Not sure what SU has the flatter duck bill nose, but that looks sick as well. Cool video man, and I like how you still enjoy flying the Russian jets. Man, that last missile just missed smak'n you in the ass. One more thing about the SU-33, I like how it doesn't ha e that huge bulge in between the engines. If someone could tell me what the hell that is I would appreciate it. Great video man as always, and love the channel. Still look forward to getting home from a huge 10 to 12 hr day sitting back with a beer and watching GS vids. 🤘🏻
Hey GS, another superb video man, hope to see more red air naval missions
GS teasing me with this video.
Please recreate the BF3 F-18 mission “Going Hunting”
I actually would love to do this, it will take me time to figure out how though.
@@GrowlingSidewinder replay the mission dozens of times lol
Hey GS, just a FYI in case you dadn't reeleyes, there would be MOAR Super Hornets!!1!
escorted by EA-18G growlers and F-35C
Ideally you send up first wave to face the super hornets then u stay back with your planes with the ships anti air helping to thin out the numbers to have your fighters safe for when they switch to there anti ship weapons
The Admiral Kut-His-Nuts-Off
I love watching this channel, what a battle show.
You committed a crime by not firing those two remaining missiles 😂
Six. GS returned four fox-3 and two fox-2.
This would be another interesting tacview debrief
How do you get the modern missiles R77 - one and such on the su 33?
No notification, I'm sub'd AND notifications are on.
Su-33 is one of the most good-looking of its family of flankers
Navy has to fight the toughest scenario
12:00 you’ve described the “Thatch Weave” of BVR, nice!
Those ships should be aware of those sea babies loitering around.
Day 1 of asking for J-20 & SU-57 vs F-22 & F-35
Love the SU-33. ❤
Tac view of this one should be cool
Here’s the daily upload I was waiting for😂❤
Could the Su-33 actually take Fox 3 missiles??? Thought it didn't have the radar for it?
Didnt see the aircraft carrier tug boat... 😂
Looks like some OPFOR training today, huh? The Sukhois are interesting aircraft.
