Just as a note, The Q Acoustics is a vinyl wrap, similar the the others, now paper :). They are another English origined company like Wharfedale, but much more recent to the market :). I do admit I like the Wharefale Evo's a lot. They really implemented the AMT Tweeter really well in the Evo range. Unfortunately all AMT tweeters are that yellow colour, and it is the only thing I don't really like about the AMT Tweeters in the Wharfedale Evo's. Usually AMT's are a bit bright in other speakers, but in the Evo's it's really nicely balanced.
Considering the retail price is pretty crazy how good looking the Evo 4.1 is! I just test it with the Musical Fidelity A1 class A amp, check the review, the AMT never played so good..
@@MadAudiofficial I'll be checking out that review. I am pretty close to buying the Evo 4.1's and just looking at a few reviews around to see how they hold up :) I've listened to them a few times in stores, but I like to see real life reviews too :) I am impressed with what I have heard and read so far.
@@MadAudiofficialIs AMT tweeter off axis performance better with class A? I've heard some stories, but not sure how big deal it is for regular listening... I've ordered the 4.2 as fronts and 4.1 as rear speakers. But I really hope the stories about amt tweeter performance below or above ear level is not that bad in reality.... fingers crossed
Being Q acoustics and a sonus Faber sonetto owner, I like to say you gave a nice representation 👍 I enjoyed very much and thanks for posting. Knowing you also have a Atmos setup, just thought I'd mention when iam listening to 5.1 movies with my Q acoustics in my small 4 × 3.5m (13 × 11.5ft) room, I find the sound of the room sounds better if I turn the height channels on but when I'm listening to 5.1 movies with my sonetto's, apart from object based audio content, I find I need to turn my height channels off, otherwise the sound coming from my sonetto's in conjunction with the heights are so room filling that the acoustics of room becomes too much! Even though my new acoustic panels has helped a little, I still feel I don't not need the height channels on when I have the sonettos hooked-up! Btw if interested you can hit the Red Dragon twice and click on the high-end Atmos video to view.
Thank u very much I appreciate that u enjoyed the Review.About Atmos I had an incredible improvement after I treated the ceiling.Sonetto has a better imaging compared to the Qacoustic, about Atmos there is really lot to say, for example I don't like how my Yamaha reciver is handle it..maybe I will do a Video about Atmos so we can share all together what we learned from! Which reciver do u use?
@@MadAudiofficial I think doing an Dolby Atmos video would be very interesting, besides I think it would draw more viewers towards your channel! I actually done my room out for the 9 channel Denon 6500 but when I heard what the 2-channel audio sounded like, I had to send it back! I'm so glad I did because the replacement, the 'arcam avr20' sounds so good that even when it is hooked-up with its matching arcam power amp, apart from a little less distortion, one wouldn't even be able to tell the difference whether it's hooked-up to a power amp or not! That's how good the sound quality is. 😲
My view is Q Acoustics are simply unequalled and unrivalled in the market, but every new release the price creeps up and the value over performance drops. They demand a good amp cos they can be a challenge for underpowered amps to drive. Not an expensive amp just one that kicks azz, Q Acoustics are all 6 ohms speakers but better to think of them as 4 ohms and you won't go wrong. They work hard play hard and kick hard if you set them up right. If they do not sound right its not the speakers its your amp.
you are very correct my audio friend thats why i kept my original 3020 and like you said i got it matched with 150 watt intergrated and the amp is 150 into 8 or 4 ohm and my speakes sound so good i would never part with them , killer synergy !!!
im consedering the sonetto 2 or elac vela 403 i have actually a naim nait 5si amp in 4 ohms is 95 wpc 60 in 80 woud it match sonetto sound be similar to musical fidelity ,later on probally gettin a hybrid amp from copland or unison research speaker cables woud be nordost, interconect audioquest power isotek source marantz cd.
@@MadAudiofficial headphones are good for analytical listening but don't have the openess and transparency of speakers because there is no crossfeed so sound is in between your ears instead of all around you, i much prefer speaker sound hence my question about very near field speakers
@@amanieux off course there is crossfeed in Headphones, you have just to choose the right amplifier with crossfeed options like the SPL Phonitor or RME ADI2 for example and with a good Headphones you will fly away! Nearfield i use the Technics SA-C600 and something like the KEF LS50 should working good but this last one i didn't test it, the review of the Technics is available.
@@MadAudiofficial i tried crossfeed option in my radsone es100 and it was not sounding good because the sound of speakers vs headphones must be more about hrtf than just crossfeed alone. kef ls50 is nice but too expensive is kef q150 that is in my budget range close enough to ls50 or is it not worth it ?
@@amanieux A late reply, I know. I've owned the Q150's and currently have LS50 (original version) for desktop use. I sit approx 70-75 cm from the speakers. The Q150 was nothing special, not good enough for my standards as I used to have Dynaudio DM2.6 which I sold (big mistake) I got a good offer on the LS50 and they are in a totally different leauge. From what I hear, the Metas should be even better. If you can afford it, go for the LS50's as they are much better. You should also be able to find either at used pair or a heavily discounted pair at a dealer.
Is this an apple to apple comparison? I live in Dubai and the price u pay for 1 pair Sonus Faber S1 = 1 pair 3050i + 1 pair 3030i .. basically the entire 3050i 5.1 pack (with sub)...
Hey, I like to listen to your "reviews", a colorful, personal voice, but to compare these 3 units with this price difference.... Makes very little sense... "bit more expensive" would require a bit more explanation.... Like you compare Fiat Tipo / Renault Mégane / Audi A3 2.0t... sure man, if You have the budget go with the Audi... Good bye!
Thank u and u right, actualy it supposed to be only a 2 speaker review so 3030i vs evo 4.1 but than I decide to add also the Sonetto 1 cause I found that could be intresting to ad a comparison with a more expensive speaker and in my opinion 3030i and evo 4.1 did a great job compared to Sonetto 1.thx for comment✌🏾

For movies u need a subwoofer and if you can afford the same center channel is also not bad.
