I'm quite pleased with myself, I spotted the agate at 2.40 and I never do when playing spot the agate in videos. Such a good spot and perfect hounding after a flood. I love the little blue and pink you found also. Thanks my friend, I enjoyed that very much

@2:42, agate is low on the screen, near the bottom bar, and just to the right of center? @6:16, that actually is a cool piece, if you turn it so that the "eyes" are horizontal, it looks like the face of an owl! And the "smiley face" is very cool as well! Those moss-markings are really pretty, overall it was a nice outing. Thanks for taking us along!

New to your channel, cool intro lol and viewed your video from your wedding trip to South Africa, awesome area and seems like would be a great full day adventure. At 3:52 in your talking about a 10lb plus agate, did you see or pick up the piece just to the right top of your hand, that looks slightly yellow? I know, you probably get asked this a lot lol as we view from home and wish we were there to grab some haha. Wow, I have the exact same river rocks by me in Cali/Mount Shasta and never came across any agates or anything for that matter; I go 2 hours north into Oregon and I find loads of chalcedony-agate in clear/orange/yellow and at times with some nice bands. Lots of Jaspers there too and the ones that look like agates/quartz. Now I have to go back to my rivers and creeks and see if I can turn up anything like you did in this video. New Zealand and the islands around them, have been a place I wanted to visit since I was a kid, looks so awesome and peaceful. Thanks for the vid and a hint for you since you spoke about bringing out some banding in the Sun. A water bath with acid in a plastic bucket for 1-2 weeks, then rinse and dry and repeat, will do some wonders to bands you can see and shine to most rocks and chalcedony. Cheers, Chris

Hey thanks for the awesome message! I dont know why I was never notified of messages being dropped on this video, so sorry for not getting back to you sooner! Did you manage to find some local agates then?

@@chalcedonychris7310 Have not been out to the rivers here yet this year, but did go back to Oregon to find some nice pieces. 2 years back when walking the river and the bed for nature, I wasnt into really looking for rocks so much, but they all looked like the typical river stones as you have in this video. Im interested to go back and see if there are any crystals hiding among the landscape.
