Excellent video. I have some dark patches which has caused a transistor on the power board to go open circuit. So I need to work out which LED strips are blown and replace them. It's a bit of a design flaw that if any of the LEDs go, it blows the power board.

What voltages should be going to the backlight from the board? UE58 has two blue and two black wires.

@@napochulo It was something like 364 volts on one wire. I replaced the back lights and the TV is working great.

Can anyone please help i dont know what to do anymore to fix my tv,samsung replaced the powersupply board and the mainboard,tv worked again for a while because 3 months later a purple bal showed up in the left bottom corner, i replaced all the led strips 3 weeks ago and the tv whas like brand new again, now the problem i have for the last 2 days is that when i go into menu my backlight dims on its own,the tv never did that before,i opend it up today to check the ledstrips they all work but 1 led bulb illuminates less then the others, did i have bad luck with one off the ledstrips or is this maybe a t-con board problem, because samsung did not replace that board...???????

Transistor QP801CS on the power supply board has gone bad on my tv. Bad led strips cause this to go bad. The tv powers up but that same transistor goes bad after a few hours. How do I check and confirm it's a strip before ordering?

Simply test each LED strip using an LED tester or, as shown in the attached video link, a DIY tester made out of 9volt batteries wired in series. That's what I did. I think the same transistor kept blowing on my PS board also. I finally checked the strips and nearly half of them were not lighting. Now gonna order new strips.
