- The driver whose tipper truck was involved in the collission with a train at Sekondi-Nkontompo has denied any complicity in the accident. Initial eyewitness report suggested that the driver sped up when he was supposed to stop for the train to pass.

At night with no signalling lights, no barrier, no lights, how can you blame the driver? This will happen again if there are no barriers and lights.
Since that's a very busy intersection, the govt should do an overpass for vehicles to pass on top. Would save us lots of headaches

The truck driver was at fault. At even an unmanned railway crossing the driving regulations state that you approach with care and caution.
The tracker on the truck only gives the vehicle location not the speed. The speed can be measured by a tachograph which the police should start to enforce in Ghana as most of the big vehicles don't use them.
Traffic lights aren't working, train stuff aren't working. Typical Ghanaian management attitude. Let's talk about fixing them.

The fault is from the truck driver, in Europe u can't say u didn't see,the moment u say that u lost ur driving licence, as driver u must very very careful behind the steering wheel

The driver of the truck is definitely at fault . This is negligence in uk he will lose his license and even imprison for damages

The maintenance center has mandatory task to fix malfunction light transmission in some Train railway point interconnecting to the road
