In case you didn't know burnt raison taste amazing. My Dad use to make a pork crown roast with sauerkraut and raisons. Some of the raisons would burn partially and fully. I liked the partially burned ones.

The Christmassy Spatula brings the dough together,
Adding water as a binder.
The filling is a combination of ingredients,
Semolina, chopped nuts and fresh coconut.
Ready to assemble and prepare the sheets,
Layering them with expertise.
Use a cutter for perfect shapes,
Gently filling into the space,
Pinching along the edges.
Oil is hot for frying,
And look at the layering.

Hi Lorna you can definitely do that but please do not deep fry frozen nevries. Please allow them to come to room temperature before frying😋😋🎄

Hi Wendy! I love your channel!! I am wondering whether you can do a video on how you plan your Christmas sweet making. For example, how many weeks in advance do you start? What sweets have the longest shelf-life (so they could be made the earliest), what sweets do you leave to the very end, because they have the shortest shelf- life? Etc. I know, for example, that Christmas cake can be made well in advance, but with the other items I don’t know, so I end up cramming them in at the very end, and it makes for a very stressful process. Also, please tell us how you store each sweet. Thanks so much!

To make home made Khoya, take 1litre milk add 1 tbsp butter to it as it reduces to I/3 it’s quantity. It a solidified state of milk.

Is the khoya that is used is sweetened or unsweetened one
It’s Unsweetened
What is semolina and koya? Never heard of either of these. Where do you get them
Semolina is coarsely milled durum wheat. Koya (Mawa) is thickened milk. You can get both products at any Indian grocery store.
Can these karanjis be baked?
Yes for sure, bake them at 360F/180C for 20-25 minutes
Made neuris yesterday. They became nice n crisp, but by evening they turned soft.
How to retain the crispiness
Did you put them in a wire rack to cool ?
