As a father who has taken his son offroading and camping a lot since he was 2 years I would recomend putting the baby carrier in front of you.
That way, if you slip or fall, you can protect them. They can also see what is happening while you have your adventures.
Great video. This area is our favourite, we do 7 or 8 trips a year.
I'm impressed you found a good Mrs who helps with builds and driving. She even takes those cold dips as you do. Great viewing Demi and Tyler, cheers
One of the best shows I've watched! Some knarley hill climbs. Great walk. Thanks .
Great to hear your doing trips with your Dad and Kyle like when you first started. Great seeing those trips
Great family adventure, your young bloke is growing up. Stay safe though, don't take your eyes off the little one coz it only takes a few seconds for them to get hurt. Good work 👍
Legend doing that all with your little one! Can't let life get in the way of getting out there and adventuring
That canyon walk looked sooooo good and hats off to you doing two up 👍🏻
Holy crap Tyler! And in a manual! My wife and I walked that track a few months back. Ali Babas Cave or 9 Mile Cave is the other name. Demi did a great job showing the steepness but as always, the camera steals the steepness and height of the step-ups too. They are genuinely 500-800mm high in some spots, and those ruts down the bottom are waist-deep! Amazing job!
Thanks for watching! Yep pretty hectic spot there
Same level of enthusiasm as well.😂😂😂 one of your best videos for a while mate.
Dems driving has improved leaps and bounds, and she should be so proud of herself.
As for the engine situation, get that one fully rebuilt, and you will have a great engine that should last.
Anyway, another great video guys 👍👍
Thanks mate!
LOL Love the Cardboard Number plate on the Opus !
Good to see you guys wheeling again. I take my hat off to you for that adventurous hike with the baby. Did something similar with my daughter when she was just over 1 year old. It was a mission and we did not film everything. Well done guys. Great show!!!!❤
Man oh man I take my hat off to you guys. As they say in the 4WD industry only the Brave who dares to be adventurous will reap the rewards. Especially you all mate with your lovely son on your back. Yep this is where memories are made and you guys have done that. In my younger days I could say yes but at the moment I have a Margot spine at the moment and yes I love my outdoors but this one you have my mouth hanging to the ground thank you
Thanks for watching mate!
It's a good day when Tyler uploads a new vid.
What better way to spend a wet sunday morning. Tyler's video teamed up with bacon and pancakes
Cheers mate!
Getting fed up saying how good your channel is mate 👍🏻🏴
Hey Tyler and Demi, great week in this beautiful part of the world!
Demi, pat yourself on the back as your efforts doing 4x4 on these tracks and a manual gearbox is commendable.
Like the new little Opus - perfect for you 3 ….. easier to tow.
Excellent vid and you have come a long way Tyler in the few years I have followed you !
Cheers mate and hopefully run into you one day where you as a young Buck May teach this old fella some tricks as just getting into 4x4 at 60! ✅❤️
Thanks mate appreciate the feedback and watching!
Love it in that part of the region mate great epi, Demi, you're just like my wife. If food isn't overly cooked you're not satisfied 😢 can't wait to the next episode also love Turon, Sofala, Hill end etc awesome history there, did the bridle track also great to do and alot of side tracks to explore
Great content brother hard luck with the td. Go 4.5 cummins or 6bt u will never have problems again plus so much more power n torque also way better fuel consumption
I started zd powered then blew that up then put a ls1 in then that dropped a lifter which hurt the motor since putting in the 4.5 cummins ive done 85000km trouble free it's averages 11 litres per 100km or about 13.5 towing a 2.5 t on 35s
👌 ripper episode mate!!!
Great episode guys, really enjoyed it - some wild tracks taken on there and you guys are brave swimmers - looked like a lot of fun
Diesel heater was essential by the looks of it, and Zeph looked like he had a blast
Thanks mate! Yep was certainly good in the winter conditions 😁
The little fella seems to just take it all in “ , lucky Tim has a nice fresh td for you sitting in Tassie 😎🤠
Great Ep guys.. really enjoyed it.... bucket list for me now :)
Great video. Tyler you got a keeper with Demi. She always seems down with the adventure.
Thanks mate!
Unreal ep! The wheeling looks sick! And that walk was so cool!
Great video mate, good to see you three out and about. Got some guts to give that canyon a go with the little fella on your back. Well done, great memories to remember forever. Disappointing news about the engine too after all that work. Keep it up, great content
Thanks mate, appreciate it! Was an awesome trip, hopefully get that new engine soon and will all be sorted
I love that patrol soo much
I’m glad you explained I was wondering why it was blowing blue smoke third time. Lucky I suppose. I have been around that area heading to Bathurst races always wanted to venture off one day. I will looks beautiful through there with the water falls .
Great video.
The fire lighter seems to work better if you hold the Steel/Knife etc solid and rip the ferro back towards you.
That kid is a trooper !!
9 out of 10 well done,loved it
Hey Tyler, cheers heaps, have a1 week old at home and the GQ sitting in the shed ready for our first adventure of many you're an inspiration to keep getting out there. . Bummer about the engine but these things happen onward and upwards 👍👍
Thanks for watching mate!
Great video and super impressive driving... good looking dinners there too.
Lithgow is a great area, Great content once again.
Awesome get away guys good to see the gq out and about. Sorry to here about the motor I guess these things happen but I’m taking a stab in the dark here i was watching Timmy’s last vid and he mentioned that he had a fresh engine in the garage and I’m thinking that u have ur hands on in😉 😉, hope to see u guys again at the Melbourne 4x4 show next month and dems 80 series 👌
Love your work guys 👏👏👏
I’ll be amazed if Zeph doesn’t turn out a super-hero with all this training! Great episode!
@tyler, awesome brother to see you getting your young son out there exploring
Thanks mate!
At least the nav was reliable! Demi has real skills driving - I've never done anything like those tracks - not that i have the rig to do it, but Demi has taken to it like a duck to water, or salmon to terriyaki...
All that work
Great vid thou really great scenery
Great Vid....
Great works guys...zef loving it to...Super spots ,the cooking has gone up a notch....salmon dish... 🤤 Nice.,.pity about motor.....look forward to next episode....Great way to start a Sunday.....hope you will come down to MELB 4x4 show when it's on....great vid.....😊
Cheers mate! Won't be at the Melbourne show this year unfortunately
Awesome watch dude!! That climb looks proper gnarly. Nearly as gnarly as the baby fern bashing.
Haha cheers mate 😁
Keep up the hard work brother , stay safe an keeping having a ball with the family an getting out there 👊🏽
Cheers mate!
Great vid, Ali Barbar got very chewed out. Good to see Demi having a crack at Ranger Bob, looks a bit more chewed out too. Shame about the donk you swapped. 🤞 for next one 4 u all.
Awesome spot and setup...... 🤙👍
Go airbag bump stop replacements I’ve got a Gq Ute that I take my canopy on and off of and do some towing they work awesome and great for all round comfort. Didn’t change my flex at all
Amazing canyon walk up the falls, must check that out.
that is one amazing place
Nice vid, thanks
This was a pretty good trip. Im still trying to taste that spicy salmon
Epic video mate
Really surprised by that engine, It seemed so minty when you guys were pulling it apart.
Great vid. @21:30 you so missed your chance to say, "and Zef" !!! The nanny naz!s would be all over you then
I been Lithgow so many times next track for sure
Whats that fire put and table mate need one for kids
I have to see this ❤❤❤
Good vid. Keen to explore this area ❤
Should be a good one
I used to load my rig up past the max and tow two motorcycles. Had to get the heavy duty springs. But idk about going any heavier, it will ride kinda hard without the trailer and camping gear.
Id say just deal with the sag and load your trailer and rig as best you can.
Chicken Pizza? You're no longer a vegetarian, Tyler? That pizza looked delish. I love canyoning - specially the ones that require you to wade, float down and/or jump into pools of water while going through it. But my friends and I, usually only do it in summer. The water around the Blue Mountains are already freezing in summer, we wouldn't dare do it in Winter.
Thanks mate, its very cold out there in winter!
Good to see you put the crocs in sports model for climbing
Always 😁
Time for 37x13.50r17(about a half inch wider than a Maxxis RAZR MT 35×12.50r17 when on the same width wheel) Yokohama G005 X-MT tyres and a 4 inch lift 😉
Go the Patrol! cool trip ! bit of fun 🏞️🛻😎🤙📹
Great episode guys 😀 shame about the motor you must be pissed off when you get your 2nd new motor fitted maybe you could rebuild it and give it some more horses you should try Iron Man coils in my 80 I have constant load 500kg rear and constant load 300kg front fantastic and they are green looks great to anyway cheers legends ☺️
Oh no how crap is that about the motor 😢.
Another ripper of an episode mate. 👍🏽
Cheers mate!
Great video guy's, loved the climb ,wonder if Zeph (hope that's how you spell it)will ever remember this . Dem seems to be more comfortable in front of the camera now. I'm impressed how Demi can start a fire, cut wood with a chainsaw, and cook, drive track's.... I think🤔 she is a Keeeper Tyler😂
Yep that's how you spell it 😁
Another rippa video mate !!! Good to see Demi doing some more driving out on the tracks 👍
The recovery kit. It that one their off the shelf items or did you build that up yourself ?
That has to suck, just having fitted an engine and it's no better than the old engine. Fingers crossed your 3rd engine will be a great one. 🤞
Yep pretty annoying, 3rd engine is brand new so should be good this time 😁👌
Crate Engine😁😁
Great episode man. That gorge walk looks epic. Rebuild the silvertop. It's the better motor anyway.
Great driving Demi 🤙
"First time using the pov cam"
Not sure I'd have waited for a trip to give it a test run 😜
Thanks mate 😁
Love your vids
YAY...THE BOOMB BOOMBs back and weather report..sweet 😊
Another great vid mate, although bit confused that the Qualified mechanic which you bring along on these trips (obviously just in case of major vehicle breakdown or failure) that she is so well qualified and busy fixing engines that she's never had the time to learn how to light a fire..😁😆😂
OH...THANK THE LORD.🙏🙏🙏
You and the Crew are back to being 💯% AUSSIE and eating meat,!! (Relax Dem..I meant as in eating chicken 😁)
Now I'm just waiting for the Karen's and the..."why take the kid on back when climbing",?? "what if you do slip and knock yourself out and fall and end up landing on the baby in river under water"...blah blah blah...so can answer it for her 😁
Great work bro, now patiently waiting for the next Sunday morning episode of 'TT and maccas' breakfast 😊👍
Thanks for watching mate! Appreciate it 😁
Zeff’s going to be the full 4wd weapon
Gday, the new camper looks bloody nice, shame about the engine and after I watched the install and the test you guys did I honestly thought you had a good strong motor, sadly not mate, just hope it holds up for a few weeks, awesome video, cheers
Yep we did too, pretty annoying!
Love the Lithgow eps! I’ll be heading there next trip so this gave me some good insight 👌🏻🔥thanks guys
Thanks for watching mate!
Boom boom boom boom 😆 It would be strange if you didn't do that at the end it's definitely your trademark you need it on a Tshirt or something 👍🏻
Do you think it might be sagging in the back because the axle is so far back on the trailer so you end up with a lot more tow ball weight than you should.
Na cause does the same thing when I put too much weight in the boot
@@TylerThompson90 👍
Gutted about the motor I hear a guy in tazzy has a good one ready to go 😉
Haha I heard that too 😁
Welcome to TD life.....after 2 rebuilds you'll realise TDs are like a lucky dip. Time to move on! Great vid, wonderful scenery too.
LS swap 😊 funny how the cruzer drive trains not as good but the engines better and the patrol drive trains good and the engines are not.
Where can i get a set of croc's with sports mode! and do they come with lockers?😁😁😂 Once again guys great adventure, keep it up. That canyon trek reminds me a little of the climb to blue ck dam👍👍
Haha thanks mate!
The Goodyear Wrangler Boulders are now available for us in the US. How do you like them ?
We really like the Goodyear tyres, no complaints!
Tyler how do you feel about atv/utv’s I have my Ford ranger set up for the mild wheeling and camping but it can’t hit the harder tracks like other vehicles so I was thinking of getting a side by side to hit those tracks and leave the ford ranger as the base camp vehicle when I go and wheel the harder stuff.
Not legal to use either in Australia on public roads or national parks unfortunately.
We can only use on private property
@@mikek2258 damn I didn’t know that that’s a bummer.
Epic as always Tyler! Thank you! How’s the state of the Black Fellows Hand Trail these days? Reckon a stock Ute could get through? Cheers!
Yeah definitely mate, all pretty easy mate
That climb looked sketchy 👍
niss Ann patrol diesel love the tractor sound wish we could have them in The U,S, we dont have many diesel lot of 3/4 ton crew cab double cab utes , .....cute baby he's a member of the red head fraternity
You've got 6bt cummins everywhere. Surely swap it into a cruiser and off you go?
Wow can't believe how chopped out the track is down to Aladdin's cave is now.
Yep pretty bad these days
Time to LS swap it🎉
Tyler where do did you buy your folding fire pit with the metal kid proof surround?
Look up Drifta Stockton
Has the camper been given away yet
Yep Joel in QLD won it
When was the last camper giveaway drawn? Who won it
Gosh, gotta read the conditions of the comp then you will know. I know I didn’t win it, 3 T-shirt’s and a hoody later 😅
Was drawn a couple of Sunday nights ago on instagram live, Joel from QLD won it, taking it up to him next week
Why don’t you do some episodes on a full engine rebuild on the black top td42t
Yeah probably will at some point, will definitely do a strip down episode and see what we are looking at
After all the effort and money you've dropped into that GQ, I assume you're going to get one of your TD long engines rebuilt? Should be reliable for long time and save future headaches rolling the dice on second hand engines.
Got a brand new one this time 😁
Where's that fire pit table from? Would be perfect to keep my toddler away from it
You done it excellent job in starting that fire but next time to make it be easier get some toilet paper. Or methylated spirits or kerosene none of these two will explode so you are right to use it.
Is it illegal to carry or operate chainsaw in national park?
Too bad about the "new motor" but you know what they say, "tits or wheels, they both cost you money" lol. Epic scenery and Aladdin's cave was awesome.
Cheers mate!
LS swap ...LS swap ...LS swap ...LS swap ...LS swap ...LS swap ...LS swap ...LS swap !!!
Yeah, that'll be $2.5mil if you want to camp here bruh. Welcome to "the voice".
Baby on back, old ropes on slippery rock above treacherous falls, crocs as shoes… yikes dude😬🫣 makes me nervous.
Looks like a good time though and glad there were no accidents!
