- Winterizing the coop has been a lot of trial and error over the last 3 years. The number one thing we have found to help is blocking the wind and keeping the chickens dry. Ah yes, the recycled feed bag! I staple them over our hardware cloth barn doors too. Works great!

Great video! I was getting worried about my chicks getting cold in a fully enclosed coop with heater 😂😂 your set up looks great!
They’ll for sure be fine living that bougie life with a heater.😂
Only heater they have is each other over here, but they do just fine each winter. Chickens are tough! Thanks for watching and commenting!

I only ever put DE in the chicken feed for worm load control, Farm Safe Lime is nearly equally as effective when used as pest control against parasites and pests alike - without any of the unsafe respiratory issues that DE may have as side effects, and its so much cheaper. I've never had problems with lice or mites. It also will keep the ground dry under the coop helping with ammonia smell.
Never thought of using aglime I’ll have to get some!
