Just got one 2 weeks ago. Love it. I have a Ranger for my daily commute to work. I used the Jeep as a daily and filled up $50 every 2-3 days. So the SRT stays as a weekend deal
Yeah out of all the cars I have owned never had anything that consumed more fuel than a Jeep srt8 lol It's crazy. Got to have another vehicle as a daily for sure.
DEF a bad ass truck i bought mine in spring 2015 with ~54k miles on it. TOTALLY FULLY LOADED complete with the stock factory VES (video entertainment system) and as of 12/19/2022 it currently has 59.2k miles.
07 Jeep SRT8 Daily Driver 08 front end conversion w/ HIDs and LEDs Custom exhaust w/X pipe Diablosport Trinity w/ Custom tune Ported TB and manifolds 180 TS 315 in the rear 275 up front drilled slotted Medic hood w/ a lil something something underneath 0 to 60 in 3.5 seconds every morning before work 9 miles per gallon
Pffffffff, that is a solid setup. Thank you for sharing your build. Those are solid numbers, I'm sure a lot of people who checked out my video would love your jeep setup.
@@StreetInfluencedjust bought my 1st jeep SRT. It's a 08. It came with the same cold air intake as yours. With a Gibson full exhaust and headers. she rumbles. Has 100k miles. List price was 20k and I put down 6k. my 2011 v6 grand Cherokee is my daily
Wow, that's a pretty steep price, if it's in mint condition maybe it's worth it with proof of maintenance. Otherwise with that mileage me personally I can see 16-19K.
Well my 06 E55 amg averaged about 11 mpg and didn’t think it was worth the gas per performance. It was way faster than this jeep. These look cool but not as a daily. I prefer my older 14 5.0 mustang. Better mpg and was a good daily
Surprisingly ever 5.0 I’ve driven gets decent gas mileage, the only V8 I’ve never had gas consumption issues with. I would take the Mercedes’ over this Jeep any day. Dodges older interiors are just trash 🗑.
Just have someone check the motor mounts / Bushings on suspension. Also cooling system maintenance is great for mopar Motors, you want to make sure that hemi has always been cool. 🥶
Fast car, good on gas... That's a hard one some net bangers might get triggered from my answers. I would say possibly a G37s, Evo, G35s, Civic Type R, Civic Si, these cars aren't super fast but they are decently quick and good on gas. FRS chassis are good on gas fun to drive but they are under-powered unless you add decent engine mods. The jeep however, is a horrible choice for a daily driver.
That’s pretttty high lol for the mileage depends on the work done, and condition. Every popular enthusiast, vehicle right now though is pretty expensive over here in California. Not sure where you’re from? I think something along the lines of 15k stock in good condition with that mileage would be fair.
Hmmmmm... I think they would be just as bad, the Dodge Ram depends on the liter size of the motor and the weight of the truck. Dodge Ram trucks are pretty big in size, so I see that being the biggest issue regarding mpg's. The Jeep isn't that big, but the AWD paired with the Hemi motor is just a bad combo. But it's all about smiles per gallon!
😂😂😂 worst on gas and yes I daily drove mine and no lie I put gas every three days but I drove a lot. Now it’s just sitting since I started my new job so I’m traveling more then driving.
I've owned a few srt jeeps because sometimes I just buy them if it's a good deal then just resell them later lol They are reliable just find one with documentation and maintenance records that's been well taken care of, stay away from salvage title.
@@StreetInfluenced got an 07 that's been sitting 8 years...40 k miles....headers/tuned..CAi...23k....But its been sitting....any red flags to be concerned about?
SRT is not cheap at all, one of the worst vehicles I have driven on gas haha. All the. jeeps I have driven regardless of model are pretty poor when it comes to Gas Mileage Per Gallon.
Using it as a daily driver, work on the weekdays and chilling on the weekend, minimum 1 gas tank a week for me. If i were to go on a long ride I would need to fill this tank like twice within the week. I personally don't like to daily drive V8 cars HAHA.
Depends on where you work and how much you drive , if you plan on working like 10miles away and driving it around the city or your town your looking at pumping gas every 3 to 4 days and for a full tank it will be like 70 dollars with only supreme gas. But if your job is let’s say 20 mins from your house and hardly drive around the city your looking at 5days until you need to fill up . Remember you get 10 miles in the city and 14 on the highway but if you drive at 65 on cruise control on the highway you’ll get 17 instead of 14 on the highway.
I want one i was thinking of selling my 07 g35x sedan AWD to get the srt8 but honestly my g35x is HORRIBLE on gas and now I’m really thinking if I actually want this. Since this is more of a gas guzzler. All I want is a fun Awd daily for these Minnesota winters😢😢
if you're gonna get one of these to daily it make sure you get one with over i'd say 100k miles. at that point they're kind of already ruined. they ARE way too terrible/costly on gas to daily in ANY scenario low mileage or high mileage.
Never had any heating issues with this vehicle at all, had multiple srt8 never had any heating issues. I did have a dodge neon #Srt4 and that car gave me heating issues.
I would, you can’t get the hp and the torque on a suv for the price and head no one knows how fast it is. If the price is right make it a monster, and save up for a newer one.
I used to daily my e60 m5. Now that was bad bad on gas. I only did it during summer months as it snows where I live. I guess if you like the car that much you don’t care for gas. I’m mainly going for an srt8 jeep because I’m putting a lot of mileage on my m4 And my 2012 c300 has piss pore performance compared to what I’m used to. I’ve always wanted an srt but could never get one over an M 😂 having it as a daily will be crazy
A truck this old I do NOT recommend getting into debt. Also this truck is very bad on gas so if you struggle with the debt at all, gas prices are only gonna make it worse. Possibly if it has extensive documents on maintenance. Otherwise, going into this truck with a loan you might have to repair things like gaskets, front axles and bushings here and there.
I'm pretty sure common problems won't just be one year, it would be across a few of them. For this truck I would watch out for motor mounts, transmission mounts and front axles since they have so much torque to the wheels
The crappy OEM bump stops are a common problem. They tend to crumble on these rigs. I swapped mine out for Bwoody bump stops. Problem resolved afterwards. A search on the internet will show many others having the same issue. The clear coating on the wheels tends to peel off too.
Of course it’s gonna be bad on gas high performance motor 6.1 Hemi wants to be gas fed and opened up I have one the been all super charged up and I believe I can fly

smiles per gallon. I hear the track hawk gets a lil better gas mileage then these . But 2006-10 Jeep srt8. Have a better look imo .
They definitely look a lot better and a tad bit smaller is better for me. But i could see the new tech probably gets better mpg when cruising.
I have a 2017 SRT Jeep GC but I’m not gone lie I really want to trade my other vehicle in for an 08. They always look so amazing on the road.
❤
It’s either get a Jeep srt8 2008 now or get at 2014 3 years from now
I still think the 2014 models will be a lot more expensive, they are well made and the tech a lot more advanced.

Sorry if I missed this question but what suspension are you running?? I’m debating on lowering springs or coilovers
This truck was on lowering springs. I think lowering springs are okay for this vehicle if you have healthy shocks. Otherwise just buy coilovers.
I’m thinking about getting me a WK1 jeep this summer 2007 to be exact and was wondering are there reliable any known issues?
Just have someone check the motor mounts / Bushings on suspension. Also cooling system maintenance is great for mopar Motors, you want to make sure that hemi has always been cool. 🥶
Since it is an AWD the transmission repairs can be costly. Just make sure she shifting and not slipping at all.
