When I was 17 years old I went to NYC on a school field trip. I was in the Metropolitan Museum of Art on the upper floor. I was about to leave so I came to the grand stairway to go down to the foyer . It was extremely noisy down below as though there were a lot of people down in the foyer talking and chatting. As I began to come down the stairway and looked down what I saw at the bottom was literally a thousand girls jam packed in the Foyer all talking and chatting. As I'm about halfway down the stairs SUDDENLY ALL AT ONCE ALL THE GIRLS STOPPED TALKING AND IT BEGAME INSTANTLY DEAD SILENT AS THEY ALL TURNED AT THE SAME TIME AND LOOKED UP AT ME THEN THEY JUST STARED AT ME AS I CAME DOWN THE STAIRWAY ! Upon getting to the bottom i had to walk through a sea of girls that were all staring at me . I did manage to get to the door and get outside without having to run or being torn apart.
You know it's cool watching people appreciate stuff so many of us take for granted. I live a few hours away from NYC and don't think anything of it, but watching you guys enjoy it so much really makes me think how we take stuff for granted. Good video!
6:30. Cold Brew & Iced Coffee are actually 2 different things. Iced Coffee is when you add ice to hot coffee. "Cold Brew" is actually made by putting coffee grinds in Cold Water and let it brew/steep for 12-24 hours.
And Cold brew is generally concentrated, so unless it's watered down you can actually put all that ice in there and as it melts it dilutes to "regular" strength.
as a native nyc-er who has been subbed for so long, this is the exact video i've been waiting for. tears in my eyes watching you guys finally getting to explore my city!!!! so glad you had fun ❤
@@ninja_tony I'm Canadian, we don't have Fox news. But we can see with our own eyes the craphole of a city NY is. Literally thousands of criminals running free as your state and city government don't arrest, detain or prosecute violent criminals. Did you think the world didn't see the attacks on the NYPD officers by illegal migrants who were just released right after? Think we don't know about how the Guard is now in your subways. Or criminals shooting up Times Square? The entire world knows what a dump your city is. Like so many other major US cities. Stop the gaslighting, no one buys it anymore.🇨🇦
@@chuckmorrison2116 You REALLY don’t know what you are talking about! I go to NYC all the time. It’s a very safe city. Lots of police presence, cameras everywhere since 9/11. Christmas in NYC is so much fun! We do a girls trip every other year in my family where we fly there after work on Wed or Thurs night and come back on Sunday, one weekend in December. We have such a great time! This year, we are bringing our husbands, because they think they have been missing out! Well, yes, they have!
Except for your crime ridden major cities and the filth of most of your cities. Homeless everywhere, illegal migrants all over the place, guns, poop covered streets and the drigs of course. Yeah, real paradise.
I stayed at a hotel in Times Square back in 2006, mostly a work trip. I had several drinks at an Irish pub/restaurant a few doors down from my hotel, the bartender fed me free shots as long as he was matching them. As I was walking around after I left the pub, full of drink, I inadvertently walked right through a Law and Order: SVU set. Nobody stopped me or said anything, saw Mariska Hargitay down the alley, I just kept walking. One of the funniest moments in my entire life.
@@ct6852 lol Sam is the Dad! Atlanta is the daughter, Denzel is their son and Nadine is the Mom. Oh; and we can’t forget their dog Kylo who stayed back home in NZ for this trip. 😊
I live in NYC, I take everything for granted. It’s nice to see another perspective. Very fun watching your family enjoy the greatest city in the world.
So fun fact, cold brew and iced coffee are actually two different beverages. Iced coffee is often just standard brewed coffee poured over ice. Cold Brew is typically made by lining a pan with a towel, then coffee grounds, then pouring water into the pan and letting it steep in the fridge overnight. It completely changes the taste of the coffee when it's brewed hot or cold. :)
I’m sure it’s been said 1000’s of times. But your family has seen more of America than most of us citizens! Thanks for sharing your experiences with us all!
It makes my heart so happy to see you enjoying the US. Your smiles are genuine and contagious. I've never been to NYC. Thanks for taking us along so we can all experience it.
Fun fact, cold brew is coffee that is brewed cold, usually overnight. It's milder and less acidic. Iced coffee is just regular brewed coffee that's been put in the fridge.
So true...I think the Mom was referring to how Americans love iced cold drinks. So true...cold brew coffee is much better than regular iced coffee...so much acid in the regular iced coffee.
In New Zealand iced coffee is usually coffee with ice cream. It’s the most amazing thing. I’m in New Zealand as I type, visiting family. NZ iced coffee and Whittaker’s chocolate are required within a day of arrival
@@Todrick451 Is it naturally stronger? When I buy it in the store it always comes concentrated but when I make it myself I don't concentrate it and I don't notice any difference besides the lower acidity.
I had so much fun watching that. Almost felt like I was on vacation too. What a great reminder of how fun NY can be! Loved the ‘City that never Sleeps’. ❤

I've been waiting for this video, I live in NYC. FAO Schwartz use to be next to where the Apple store is now. That's where it was when BIG was filmed and it was bigger at that location. Glad you had so much fun. As a New Yorker we are so use to all the lights and sounds that we know how to tune it all out. To a tourist I can see how overwhelming it all is.
I grew up in NJ and spent much of my youth going to NYC for punk and hardcore shows all over the city and of course plenty of random journeys through Manhattan over decades of time. It's easy for the City to become less magical and become just another place you're so used to that it's not a big deal anymore. I say this because watching videos like this where we get to see people like yourselves experience it for the first time and get to feel that "wow" factor and the whirlwind of being in that environment is so good for the soul. It helps someone like myself appreciate a lot of what I may have become jaded to and it puts a smile on my face. Glad to see you all have so much fun in the Big Apple!
Watching your faces and hearing the excitement your family has warms my heart and brings tears to my eyes. Most Americans don't hold your joy towards their own country like you and your family do. Y'all are great!

Denzel, you are so incredibly brave. I'm terrified of heights. Just watching you and your family up in the crown made my legs weak and my nerves shiver. I could never climb those stairs. You did it! Congratulations! You will always remember this.
First thing that came to mind when I saw they didn’t go up was that how awesome would it be if in 20 years they took a trip together back to NYC and finally go to the top lol
I’m curious, I’m not afraid of heights. But what happens to you? You’re still on ground just high up. Was there a moment in your life that caused you to become afraid of heights?
@@LoveBites1279 sounds like we need to put you on a plane lol. Jj
Wow, I love your family. Oh my God. I don't think I'd ever have the chance to go to New York and I'm American! This video means so much to me. 🥰 I will forever and ever be grateful to New Yorkers for how they handled 9-11. And I would never, ever be able to see New York as a tourist through your lense. Thank you so much for sharing. So beautiful. 🌺💐🌇🏙🌆🗽💖💞💝😍
a BIG thank you to Nadine, Sam, Atlanta, and the all-star Denzi. i was grinning like a fool through this whole video.
I just found their channel.
I'm on my 3rd video and can't quit smiling. So nice to see America through their eyes.
That's actually pretty funny. Family riding the carriage looking at the park and the buildings. Suddenly...."Look, squirrel!"
I live in America, and I have yet to visit New York City. Amongst other places. America is very big. I'm glad you all enjoyed your visit. Much love from Ohio!
This series makes me so happy just seeing the pure joy of all the new things they are seeing in person for the first time.

Everyone of you smiled the entire video! ❤
Your children are so very sweet, y'all raised them great! Much love from Ohio ❤
Thank you for sharing . We could see the excitement in your eyes . There are many Americans who live their whole lives and never see New York city .
That is so true and such a shame... I love visiting all of our cities
Me lol
By choice.😁
36 here and I would love to visit just for a day lol unless it was around Christmas then maybe 2 days 😊
Why is that? I’m surprised that Americans wouldn’t want to visit such an iconic city.
as a native nyc-er who has been subbed for so long, this is the exact video i've been waiting for. tears in my eyes watching you guys finally getting to explore my city!!!! so glad you had fun ❤
At least they made it out safely. I would never take the risk of visiting that craphole of a city.

@@chuckmorrison2116one of the safest large cities in the world, but sure, believe what Fox News tells you.
Probably the most successful large city…where 11 million people live and work every day. Seriously, you need to get out more and stop living your life in fear of everything!
I love Denz getting excited for the squirrels. It will make me appreciate waking up to the squirrels in my yard. Growing up my grandma always fed the squirrels and they would get really fat.
It is so wholesome watching you all having so much fun and fulfilling dreams. Loved it!

You can tell how much fun y’all all had. The joy of seeing so many cool places must’ve been surreal
I literally found your channel for the first time a couple of days ago and I am loving following your journey. I am ex-pat too (UK to USA) and I live in Los Angeles now. Your family dynamic, the quality of the videos, absolutely top notch.
They aren't ex-pats they are Kewis that roam, but so far NZ is still home.
Welcome to the family.
Welcome, Jon! Glad to have you as part of the family!
You should see the stores, and the rest of the city, at Christmas! Pure magic
That is an understatement...same with new years. I went back a long time ago and had a blast
And this comment is too kind to NYC during Christmas because its crowded af during Christmas. Can't get anywhere fast enough,
If you can avoid the criminals, homeless and illegal migrants not to mention the trash, feces and used needles. Yeah, a real paradise.😂😅
Getting near the Tree at Christmas time is insane!
Christmas in NYC is so much fun! We do a girls trip every other year in
my family where we fly there after work on Wed or Thurs night and come back on Sunday, one weekend in December. We have such a great time! This year, we are bringing our husbands, because they think they have been missing out! Well, yes, they have!
I love seeing my country thru the eyes of visitors. America is a beautiful country.
Lol. Were you on camera?
@@ct6852Unfortunately not, I walked right behind the cameras and right in front of some of the production crew. :D

Oh wow. Didn't know that. Thanks for the info.
Milder/less acidic.... but STRONGER
@@CrankyGrandma in the US you can get an affogato
A scoop of ice cream with a shot of espresso poured over it
So good
@@Todrick451 Is it naturally stronger? When I buy it in the store it always comes concentrated but when I make it myself I don't concentrate it and I don't notice any difference besides the lower acidity.
I had so much fun watching that. Almost felt like I was on vacation too. What a great reminder of how fun NY can be! Loved the ‘City that never Sleeps’. ❤

The smile on Denzi's face... worth it. I'm glad you got to see a lot of things in NYC...
