It does by default, but you can change it! The middle row is adjustable in the 7-seats. There’s an extra side lever you can pull to slide it forwards or backwards to adjust for extra leg room. The 3rd row doesn’t take away from that.
Great review, we’re family of 5 and thinking of 5 or 7 seats, when all seats at the back are folded, do they have the same dimensions? Thank you in advance.
BRandon- I’m tall 6’8., my son is 6’0- we really don’t need a 3rd row- but my question is what is the best configuration for the most possible 2nd row space for a young adult tall passenger. Are the middle row bucket seats more comfortable than the bench in the 5 seater? I’ve put in an order for a 22’ 6 seater LR. - considering changing to a 5 seater.. Thank you Brandon!! 😀
Great video Brandon. I thought I knew knew everything about the interior of model X, and then you show us a central console between the second row seats, at 3:25. Never seen one before! Is it something you can order from Tesla, or is it a third party option?
Thank you David! I did sneak peek that! Tesla discontinued it a couple years ago, but they used to make a 6-Seat configuration with a center console. There are third-party options out there very similar these days.
Thanks Brandon. This is so informative and the video i was looking for. We ordered model X with 5 seats configuration but after watching your video, may be switched to 7 seats... for camping & just in case we would have 6~7 people to ride. Do you think normal adult is not possible to ride on the last seat for a long period of time? I mean, is it functionally seats for kids only? Is it possible to use mattress in the car with 6 seats configuration? even if it wouldn't fold flat?
Thank you for watching!! Did you use a referral code for your order? If you’re taller than 5’8”, the back row might be a little uncomfortable for longer trips, but it’s actually surprisingly roomy back there. Especially in the 7-seats, being able to adjust the leg room with the middle bench seats sliding forwards, you can make sure everyone is happy. And nope, can’t fit a mattress in with the 6-seats sadly.

if im saying 100K+ for a Model X i would def want power seats, like wtf why would they charge you THIS MUCH and not give you power seats for second row.
Does the middle row in the 7 seater pushed all the way back have the same leg room as the 5 seater? Or is it a little less because of the 3rd row?
It does by default, but you can change it! The middle row is adjustable in the 7-seats. There’s an extra side lever you can pull to slide it forwards or backwards to adjust for extra leg room. The 3rd row doesn’t take away from that.
Was it just me or were the audio a little bit delayed?
Please forgive me :) I'm not a perfect editor yet, still learning!
Can we not just add the 7 seats later on with a 3rd party vendor when having the 5 seats
I've booked a 7 seater but still not sure if I should keep it or change to 6 seater ..
Great review, we’re family of 5 and thinking of 5 or 7 seats, when all seats at the back are folded, do they have the same dimensions? Thank you in advance.
I want a Plaid Model X but 5 seater...
Hi Craig! 6 seats is definitely most comfortable for taller riders. Congrats on your order!
I'm taking 6,I'm seeing this videos for my mom I gonna buy her this car when I can buy this car :)
6 Seats is awesome, and you're awesome for buying your mom a car!
@@BrandonDriver Cool feature, thanks for the reply!
I definitely would need more than 5 6 is what I really want but ig I would get seven bc it’s cheaper
Couldn’t agree more. If budget wasn’t a question, I’d go with 6. 7 if it was.
@@BrandonDriver yes
@@noahhogue9341 We're on the same page!

Wow! Thanks Brandon for your surprisingly prompt reply.
Then i will switch to 7 seats configuration and now i am in the middle of watching your Interior color selection vid. we selected black...well, actually my wife, but my favorite among 3 color combinations is white. My wife think black is easy to maintain and not visible when get dirty...and wear and tear of its skin. Any suggestion to persuade her to let me switch color to white? ^^
I did not...but i don't know whether i could use your code after already done my order. i will ask them when Tesla contact me later this week (i guess) for further process.
5 seater for shure !
Great video, and thank you for reading my mind. Tesla can certainly do better to explain the differences. In the 6 seats option, given the second row is electric and looks like the seats in the front row, how far do the recline/slide backward?
Thank you! They don't recline nearly as much in the middle row, maybe 2-3 inches tilt, but certainly enough to get more comfortable.
mabey 7
7 Seats is probably the most common these days 👍
@@BrandonDriver yeah i wish they still had the 6 seats with the center console
@@AJFranklin46 me too, that center console was nice. I understand why they removed it though.
7 seats
Half family 6 seater
6 seater
5 seats
I wish I got 7 seats instead of 6
5
For me I think the 6 seats better
If I had a whole family 7 seater
I have 6 seats. I had to pay extra for one less seat 😆
Are you happy you got the 6 seats?
@@BrandonDriver Yes, love the 6 seat cuz kids and adult can climb into back seat easily.
@@brickhunter9537 The 6 seats are so nice for that, especially adults in the back. If you could do over again, would you change your decision?
@@BrandonDriver nope
Seven because I got a family of seven including me. Well, I’m only 13 well it’s me and my mom and dad and my twin brothers and my grandparents
Almost had my like before you said most potential for warm butts. I mean it only seats 7 so ofc it warms 7. Same goes for other ones. 5 for 5 or 6 for 6
Darn, I’ll try harder for it in the next one!
I want to camp in a 6 seater but, I guess you just can’t
It would be a tight fit, but it's probably possible! Just not nearly as comfy as the other options. Maybe in the future, Tesla will enable the 6-seats to fold all the way!
6-seaters are not good for people with toddlers cos an adult cannot sit next to said toddlers.
This is a really good thing to point out!
A wife and 2 kids 5 seater
The 3rd row is useless in any configuration
You failed to mention that 7 seat configuration IS NOT AVAILABLE on the Model X with tri-Motor
Volume is super low
5 seats. There will be a dog cage in the back
I know lots of dog owners who have had the same thoughts!
But does the 5 seater have ac vents on the c pillar?
