That's great and I agree but it's not going to solve this problem. It's the equivalent of saving a few pennies on groceries while buying a 3000 dollar purse on a credit card. Health care and the public's perception of what health care is and does must drastically change bc the costs must go down while boosting the economy. What the hell we paid that money into Social Security it has nothing to do with the Debt. You all stole the money from Social Security a long time ago. And you know you did and you owe and need to pay it back. Social security was a scam to bring in spendable rev so they could spend that year and kick it down to be paid back decades later to those its barrowed from. The program needs to be ended and phased out by paying out whats left but ending the tax and ending the program over 20 40 years entirely and remind people that they can save and invest that taxed ss money any way they want and still actually own it if they invest it any other way rather then send off to hope the government has it to pay back to you if they haven't changed any laws and you still qualify for a check set to what they decided it has to be when your qualified. Insurance companies are the primary cause. There are so many healthcare and insurance companies with adjustable rate packages. The competition alone drives the medical prices up, so that people will opt for insurance rather than paying it out of pocket. So the companies can charge whatever they want...
But, he's not advocating reducing prices or capping costs. He had that opportunity. All the $ they take out of your paycheck for social security should be transferred into a Roth IRA of the person's choice to be taken out when they reach 58. That way the govt. can't touch it. Payments for disabled should be in a separate account.

I can’t say it is harmless after Jan 6th. I do believe there are more good people in government than not. But term limits are key. When congress claims that Social Security is part of spending, that should tell you that congress considers the social security money as part of their piggy bank. Social Security is SEPARATE FUNDS that were paid into a trust to be invested to increase. But yet here is congress claiming it's their money to spend. That's great and I agree but it's not going to solve this problem. It's the equivalent of saving a few pennies on groceries while buying a 3000 dollar purse on a credit card. Health care and the public's perception of what health care is and does must drastically change bc the costs must go down while boosting the economy. Social security was a scam to bring in spendable rev so they could spend that year and kick it down to be paid back decades later to those its barrowed from. The program needs to be ended and phased out by paying out whats left but ending the tax and ending the program over 20 40 years entirely and remind people that they can save and invest that taxed ss money any way they want and still actually own it if they invest it any other way rather then send off to hope the government has it to pay back to you if they haven't changed any laws and you still qualify for a check set to what they decided it has to be when your qualified.

Insurance companies are the primary cause. There are so many healthcare and insurance companies with adjustable rate packages. The competition alone drives the medical prices up, so that people will opt for insurance rather than paying it out of pocket. So the companies can charge whatever they want...
But, he's not advocating reducing prices or capping costs. He had that opportunity. He could have set "put a price cap on IVs" and instead, and he went for "attack obesity" which literally is extremely unlikely to happen without massive comprehensive cultural change...including the layout of our cities, the sugar content allowed in our processed foods, etc etc.
It's like he has all of this information, and then just presents a practically impossible solution, ignoring the fact that the only real short-term solution is regulating the healthcare industry.

There is a publication "open the books" that has listed all government spending for the past 10 years. Much of it was on frivolous projects, frivolous studies like "where it hurts most to get stung by a bee.". All the $ they take out of your paycheck for social security should be transferred into a Roth IRA of the person's choice to be taken out when they reach 58. That way the govt. can't touch it. Payments for disabled should be in a separate account.
