Rand Paul has suggested some of the most sensible solutions and no one listens. Donald Trump takes office, 19 million people on the ACA, so we have to keep something at this point even though the subsidy for every person on the ACA cost taxpayers $2,000 per month, that's just the premium, not the medical care or medications. So Republicans are fighting over a new healthcare plan. Rand Paul suggest, well we have AARP, about 100 million Americans over age 50. Certainly any health care company would like the business of $100 million people at a discount. No one listened, no health Care passed. Now we have Joe Biden that wants to extend Medicaid Medicare which we can't afford.

Yes, I took care of my mom who died this summer at 94. She got help for her medical care and I moved in, sold my house, came to live with her so she would not be in a nursing home. I don’t care if I get paid except for what I paid for. Someone also needs to tell people that you only get social security for when you worked and every year you don’t work is tossed in the total as $0.00 for the year, regardless you started a family and stayed home to care for your kids. Twenty $0.00 added to 30,000 for 15 years is then not $30000 a year, but those years of not earning are counted against you. So you better be saving what you can. When I started working in the ‘60’s they counted the last 5 years pay only. They will only do benefits them. You need to do the best for you and don’t count on them.

I have always been a fan of Rand Paul! However, after hearing his speech here, he reminds me of every politician. Misrepresenting facts and figures, in order to bend the truths. I pray that he's at least a bit legitimate like I always hoped. I WANT TO BELIEVE, but we should not follow those in our currently "elected" leadership. We as a people need to be strong, and represent ourselves. Not through these falsely elected representatives, but through our own smaller, township votes. We need to start over, and hold ourselves accountable for what we do, instead of giving ALL of our power to these oligarchs.

And they are always griping at you about something. At the end of the day, the gubmint gets 30 bucks and you get 90, your supervisor gets 300, the big boss gets 1000 and the owner gets 3000. Unless you brought ramen noodles or a sandwich from home, lunch costed you that hour you sweated the hardest. A hamburger, fries and a drink is 12% of your takehome pay. If you want to get the family a pizza on Friday night, choke up 6.5% of your takehome pay for the week.
On dat side, somebody is promising to take care of a lot of your expenses , And send you $1800/mo to sit on the porch smokin the best fatties youve ever had, listening to the birds chirp, dont gotta do nuttin, and you dont have to pay the expense of getting back and forth to work or steel toed boots. Pizza is the same, hamburger is the same, whatcha wanna do, dis or dat? Now a person might understand that dat dat aint gonna last, but for many, dat is better dan dis right now! Theres a whole lot of people who cant even imagine next week, let alone GDP, stagflation, economic stimulus, debt ceiling, balance of trade, or the US tax code. They might choose dat and worry about dis when dat is gone.
