- June is fast approaching and you know what that means? Yo Joe June! is just around the corner. In preparation for the big event I'm kicking off a little series to get some hype going, starting with today's speculation video.
There's lots of titbits of info out & about, having been put out there by all sorts of channels and outlets it can be hard to know what's what with GI Joe and what to expect. I've gone through all the Convention Panel reports, retail listings, GI Joe Pipeline Reveal lists, design team interviews and news reports I can find to try and consolidate some facts to get some Yo Joe June 2024 hype & speculation going.

Not sure in I heard you say this.. Road Pig will come with a Pet. Full Force confirmed.
Heartwrencher was a predicted figure by someone over seas who has an inside. They have been correct about other figures, so it’s a pretty solid source.
Triple T.. doubt we’ll see it soon also.. 3.75 version will crossover with Transformers. Thundermachine, I remember seeing Lenny say it was too small for a Haslab.
I did say it - but I noted the pet as a very brief comment when I mentioned that he's a deluxe package.
Someone else mentioned about Heart Wrencher as a leak, which explains why I couldn't research my way to the original source. It appears folks agree on the source accuracy though because it turns up on a lot of Pipeline lists around and about.
I'm feeling pretty sure the Triple T won't be happening just yet. The Thunder Machine could be around the sorta Vamp size-ish maybe?
I can't find anything on the HASLAB Rattler either, I'm thinking its just the prevailing guess by the fans. Last year by now we were getting all kinds of hints for the dragonfly, with those fun vids on IG, culminating in the announcement on June 5th. We figured it would be the same this year, but Emily and co have been super busy. Maybe they'll drop it at the end of June instead of the beginning...who knows. As for the Dragonfly I'm sure it'll make the trip to SDCC and they did tease a possible unboxing this summer so there's that.
I agree. I'm becoming increasingly certain that we will NOT see a new Joe Haslab just yet. Like I said in the vid - I reckon it will be at minimum a Dragonfly update and that will be it. I'd forgotten about all the Dragonfly hype/build-up, which, you're right, we've not seen this time around. There's still loads of windows of opportunity through the rest of the year too - SDCC, 1027, NYCC, Pulsecon... so I wouldn't be surprised if there's expected stuff held back a bit to keep those exciting too... including a new Haslab.

Ha! True story - and naturally the cover I like best will be some obscure 1:100 retailer exclusive that's already being pre-sold at 100 bucks! LOL
@@MoDXtraGC yup...that Cobra Commander issue 1 had like 21 different covers. Disgusting and I hate that about comics now, just blatant greed.
Heart Wrencher was just a leak, nothing official. There's also been some vague hints that Law & Order are on the way along with Footloose, Heavy-Duty & Sci-Fi, maybe name-only reveals this time around?
After the slightly underwhelming Transformers anniversary month I'm tempering my expectations, we already know about a lot of cool stuff so I don't think it's going to be too wild. Week 1 for the next wave pre-orders. Week 3 is an opportunity to help launch the Super7 o-ring figures which are supposed to be premiering at JoeFest. Maybe HasLab week 4 - I know there's a precedent to launch for Yo Joe June but I wouldn't be shocked if it was held back to the Autumn.
Ah - that will be why I couldn't research my way to the source on her. She crops up on a lot of the Pipeline lists that are out & about.
Would be fun to have a few surprises, even if its just a handful, but I think its fair to temper expectations. I agree on the Haslab though - I think a new reveal would be premature. :)

So true! There's going to be more than a few creaky wallets around. The convention/event season is kicking off in earnest - YO Joe June, SDCC, Pulse Con, NYCC, 1027...
As long as I get the retro card Cobra Commander this year I'll be satisfied...anything else will just be a bonus. lol
The probability for that one is good - but nothing is certain. I'm also definitely keen for that release. What would be a cheeky little surprise that would get you giddy? :)

Good idea - that's def a possible option. That said; I'm feeling fairly certain we'll not be seeing a Triple T this time around :(
I wouldn't be too sure its a relatively small vehicle plus the night force repaint option I sure Wal-Mart well want a vehicle equal to the vamp especially if target gets to Tigersting

I don't know. As I said in the vid - she's appearing on Pipeline lists around and about the internet, AND I noted her on my own little list I keep, but I couldn't research my way back to the source.
Not that I expect Hasbro to announce ANOTHER Cobra Commander for this year, at some point I do want to get a Battle Armor Cobra Commander WITH an interchangeable Fred VII head. As I said before I don't have any love for the Dic cartoon, which is where we saw the Battle Armor Cobra Commander...as far as animation goes.
So for me, my impressions of that figure come from the comics where Fred VII was the one that most wore that suit and that's why I NEED the Fred VII head.
don't think you're alone there man - I've seen a few folks out & about eager for the "other" Cobra Commander to be the Battle Armour version. I think it's a popular design across comic fans AND DiC cartoon fans, so hits a broad range of appeal. BUT, I think you're right, I doubt we'll see much of that this time around at Yo Joe June. :)

The hype is real! I'm excited too. I love this time of year just before the convention season gets up a head of steam. Half the fun is sharing notes and chatting it all up in the community. You got something on the speculation list you're most anticipating?
I think one of the retro figures will be a cobra infantry soldier, the Triple T will come with the U.S.A. sgt Slaughter. The smaller vehicle could be the Iron Grenadier Desto with his little flying thing, or Iceberg with the polar battle bear. I personally would love to see a Fang w/pilot or whirlwind with a retro RnR all green fatigues.
Nice! Those are some good suggestions/wishlist items for sure Soxcade. I've heard a few folks about speculating about a retro Cobra Trooper too - that 80's style, tight-fitting uniform with the braces... yes please! :)
I would assume the TTT is going to come with a sgt slaughter figure so I can’t imagine Hasbro putting that and the 3 pack out so close together

Where has the Desert Scorpion rumor emerged from? Its a welcome surprise forsure!
I'm almost loathe to say it, but the word is Viper Island has photos of a Desert Scorpion head mold. I'm not sure though - I'm getting that second hand because I don't (won't) watch Viper Island. I'd take it with a wee pinch of salt just in case - he's been as wrong as he's been right, so the source reliability is questionable... hence the light touch mention in the my vid. :)
@@MoDXtraGC lol i made a quick dive into his uploads and found the clip. Had my breath held like I was walking through a Macys perfume section the whole time.
I will say, it does look like a custom headsculpt, so we will see. It would be nice to have the desert scorpion enter the fray. One of my favorite troop builders. Thank you!
The stinger and stinger driver is coming later in the year it’s all but been confirmed by Emily back when they were doing stuff promoting the vamp she made a comment and will more then likely go up for pre order in June

@@MoDXtraGC by the time it’s all said n done hasbro we’ll get 7 or 8 vehicles out of that vamp mold lol …,.the vamp , the stinger , vamp mark II , tiger force vamp ,pp stinger and let’s be honest the thunder machine is a heavily modified stinger (same basic mold will be used ) so there’s that also

Well... to be fair... my vids a few weeks old now and a bit out of date. But to your comment - we're all drawing on the same info sources/leaks/interviews/comments etc, so I would recommend thinking about it like picking your favourite news channel or newspaper - go with the perspective you like ;)
