I run tracks everyday and Yes the Chrome on the one wheels does eventually rub off and the ultrahot on the older Hot Wheels, they might not be the best looking to some, but pretty smooth for track Runs!
it's not the ultrahot wheels that are fast, it's the way the axles were fitted into the car... modern hot wheels bases have axles clipped onto the bases which adds friction... older hot wheels were made different...
The Ultra Hots for some reason just fits the time period when hotwheels made those back in the 80s to 90s, but I can definitely see why some may not like it. I personally liked it as I had a couple cars with those wheel type back then as a child haha. For me, there's one wheel type that wasn't mentioned in your video that I don't really like and it's the "AeroDisc". It's definitely ranked on the highest in my list for the most ugliest wheels, along with that FTE2 and TRAP5... Anyways, great video as always Drifter! Maybe a Top 5 nicest looking hotwheels wheels? 😏

Many collectors complain about this car not changing colors when it's dip on hot or cold water. Idol, I suggest you make a list of failed cars of Hot Wheels. That would be interesting to watch!!! 🇵🇭
The 5 spoke one you said the paint comes off doesn't happen always .. it really depends on the paint used .. the one fortza horizon blue porsche doesn't come off.

I hate trap5 wheels so much. Not only do they look like crap, but they also catch on the side of hot wheels track, flinging the car off. Racegrooves had a great vid showing this. The rl2 wheels look wrong because the redline is printed, not stamped, giving it a raised and bumpy look.
I agree with the list but for the moon disk wheels, I think it depends on the car. It surely is not for a Civic lol I also dislike anything with chrome wheels. The chrome literally renders the car unplayable. I disagree with the 6 spokes. They are muuuuuuch faster than faster than ever wheels. Appearance wise, they are cool especially when the tires are translucent (nvm drifter was lying 😂)
I love redline old school wheels, Moon Disc are great for HotRods (which I don't collect), Ultra Hots are great on some 80s casting. So here is my list of what's ugly for Hws: -5 Dot -3 Spoke -Open Hole 5 Spoke -Trap 5 -RR Modern Concave

You can dab them with a couple layers of Pledge Floor Gloss to protect the chrome and give the wheel a “wet tire” shine

When hot wheels adds those skinny lines on the lip it's like mimicking chrome or alloy lips some real wheels sets have personally I like it.
the Trap 5 or "pizza spoke wheel" doesn't fit well on small cars, big vehicles like SUV do fit so it looks like riding on a 22' inch or bigger

number 3 is very valid, i have a greenwood corvette and a corvette stingray with those wheels and chrome, they are fading away QUICKLY.
I remember the wheels on a Chrysler 300C Hemi from 2010s. They were big and clunky and absolutely horrendous

I have never had chrome loss from AeroDisc, but DD8 lose the chrome very fast, and PR5 lose it in some time...
Not really. Most of my cars with 5 spoke wheels had chrome loss while i only had a few cars with PR5 wheels that had chrome loss
