    I’m a certified nutritionist and worked in emergency medicine for 15 years. I been watching Dr Berg for years and even took some of his courses, however, I like this video as it gets deeper in other aspects medicine not just natural remedies. I personally don’t like taking pills and prefer the natural way, but as someone who has given medications to patients in an emergency setting, medications sometimes gave bad side effects. So while this video was an excellent point of view, I think medications are good to help restart the body back on track, nutrition is the key to stay off medications if possible ( outside chronic conditions).

As for keto, the facts are out there if you can wade through the bs you will find that the science regarding keto does not support this fad diet either. As a middle aged woman I noticed that my hair hadn't actually grown for many months which was very unusual for me. It took me as long as this again to realise that it was because of being quite anaemic and I hadn't put that together. Great to know you are seeing positive results, with Vit. C, iron, and hair Re growth.
      I am not quite middle-aged (36), though, have noticed hair thinning due to perimenopause and iron anemia.
      Also, it seems from too much Vit. A consumption; which, I have stopped, now.
      I do a mostly beef-based diet, though, missing most of my stomach and having a gastric bypass (and not, necessarily, by choice, either) - I don’t absorb nutrients, as well as my body should.
      I have recently started to consume foods with Vit. c and foods with iron (I can’t take supplements, due to kidney/liver issues).
      I just bought some blackstrap molasses, too.
      Your comment is giving me hope, I’ll be able to get this under control.

      Didn't notice my hair loss for such a long time as my hair was always so thick to begin with.
      There's a lot of truth in what Dr Berg says. I take beef liver supplements now from very good supplier and have noticed hair, nail and skin improvement.
      In fact my skin is much suppler than it's been in decades (have had eczema and dry skin in past)
      Molasses are also very good, i know person who swears by them for eyesight.
      Very rich mineral content.
      My (secret) has just been to play around with supplements and probiotics to see
      which really help.
      Collagen is so good for you too. And raw milk if you can get it.
      And sort out any anaemia you might have, it causes so many issues for a fact.
      Best of luck, kindest wishes and take care of yourself. x

I think this video helps patients like myself to check our stress level and particularly our nutritional intake; for hair loss that will be our iron, lysine and vitamin D. In addition, it was useful to know that you shared that many of your clients had healthy levels of these three and still required professional help. I started taking care of the little things wrong with my health and it helped the big issues. Understanding DHT also helps me discover a few root causes. 7. vitamin D, C, biotin, zinc, CoQ10 (antioxidant helps converts FOOD into energy, finasteride will make you tired). It’s important to research what each vitamin and mineral does and to ensure you need it for your body. Mainly protein and antioxidant rich food and drinks. Interesting that you have picked up on Dr. Berg's videos. In your "How I Got My Hair Back" you mentioned your diet. I suffer from a gut issue which I never knew that I had. Gut and skin is an association that I think the medical community is just now beginning to appreciate. So glad see that you and others are looking into this area.

    The lysine requirement for human is 12mg per kg of weight. Thus a 77 kg (170 pound) person will need about 924 mg of lysine per day. Most of the beans will give you more than 1 gm of lysine per serving (example Soy beans 1.3 grams per serving, lentils. 1.25 gms per serving). Plus oats, seeds and greens have good amounts of lysine (example oats have 1.1 grams lysine per serving). Just Because, meat has more lysine, does not mean you need to eat meat (or adopt a carnivore diet) to get adequate lysine.

      I’m regrowing my hair significantly (norwood 6 to noorwood 4 in 8 months) by using, 5% minoxidil, rosemary oil, ginseng oil, 2 capsules of saw palmeto everyday twice AND the game changer is microneedling. Also, I use laser helmet 4 times a week but I don’t think is completely necessary. Point is, that you can regrow your hair back! All you have to do is do research and put effort on it.

    What was strange for me was that the level of dht in both bald and non bald people are similar. I always thought dht was the issue but turns out follicles are the real culprit. Whats even more strange is that same follicles act differently on side of the head. A lot of mysteries yet to be solved.

    • @stinger0772
      @stinger0772 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Because it's a matter of whether or not the DHT acts on the eminences of skull to cause skull expansion or not. It's genetic. No skull expansion means you keep full blood circulation to the follicle which allows DHT to keep flushing out from the follicle which prevents minuturization. It's all about blood flow which gets restricted in expanding, rounded, bulbous scalps.

    • @Directlite664
      @Directlite664 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@stinger0772
      Dht is not the issue. Turns out dht is crucial for hair growth. Yeah thats fascinating.
      Normal hair follicles on side and back of the head NEED dht to maintain growth.
      Skull expansion theory has no scientific evidence. Its still a hypothesis.
      One major evidence against that theory is hair transplantation. Donor follicles from back and side scalp do not miniaturize when placed on top scalp either, concluding the issue lies in those follicles on top scalp.
      It's similar to auto immune disease. Dht was meant to thicken the hair but somehow AGA follicles miniaturize on it.

    • @stinger0772
      @stinger0772 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @stu1stustu Transplanted hairs to the top of the scalp don't minaturize if the skull expansion process has progressed enough before transplantation. The hairs are transplanted deep enough to reach plenty of blood flow and will remain as long as significant skull growth does not continue afterward. This explains why guys getting transplants in their 20s can end up failing. They had the procedure BEFORE the skull expansion process progressed. The only way to prevent that is to take fin which stops the expansion. Minoxidil works by increasing blood flow but does not stop expansion. DHT may not be the culprit of miniaturization, it may simply be lack of blood flow. But the catalyst is DHT's bone growth and thickening properties that act on the two temporal eminences and the two on the crown. This explains the pattern loss. I've studied this theory for ten years. It's obvious as the day is long.

    • @stinger0772
      @stinger0772 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @stu1stustu I guarauntee if you transplanted hair follicles from the top of the scalp that are "predisposed" to death to the side or back of the head they would remain thick and healthy. The life of the flesh is in the blood.

      I dont follow the Keto diet like Dr Berg but i wouldnt mind atleast living on steaks and vegetables occasionally.
      The Keto diet is quite harsh, i dont follow it, i did cut out excessive sweets from my diet but kept my rice, potatoes.
      Thats not the whole point, Berg also preaches alot about cutting out the hidden sugar found in alot of foods, especially processed foods, i dont see the problem with that?
      Sugar and saturated fat is *just* what the "established medical community" been warning about the past decades aswell.
      What makes Berg "controversial" is that he tries to help people stay healthy by changing their diet instead of relying on medication, something pharmaceutical companies dont like.
      I watch him, i take the advice i need, but i dont follow the keto. Works great.
